All in all the amount I paid was great value for the great quality and I love that it's made locally and I'm supporting a small local business. The delivery guys were super friendly and easy going and my whole experience was just fantastic. I would definitely recommend and will go back for my next purchase. This is an employee review, so a little different perspective than the other reviews. I was brought…read morein to help with sales inside the store while also developing outside sales revenue as well. The owner is nice and the other employees were great. The problem was the wife of the owner who has kind of taken over running the front part of the store. She hired me and I was supposed to work 3 shifts a week in-store and then the outside sales on my own time. The pay for the inside sales was hourly while the compensation for the outside revenue would be commission although she kept avoiding my questions when I tried to pin her down on how that worked. She was always evasive about it and the regular wages were paid in an even sketchier way. My first six shifts went fine and I was selling things and negotiating pricing. The customers liked me and I had even gotten two solid leads on outside sales with a pretty big builder and a new private school. I came into my next shift and worked only to have my immediate Manager tell me the owner's wife had replaced me, but that I could still do the outside sales if I wanted. Yeah, right. Sum total. 7 shifts worked. I signed an employment agreement, but was never given tax forms to fill out. I got completely screwed by this company and by the wife of the owner. Prospective employees beware.

This review is my overall experience with Sleep Country, I bought a mattress on sale instore. We called customer services and they said the computer shown "brand new" but they will let us exchange another one and need to wait 2 weeks to be delivered. We had mattress protector on the first day until today the replacement was delivered to us. After the delivery guys took the old mattress down the ground floor, they found a slightly yellow stain on the side of the mattress and said we may need to pay cleaning fees or they will take back the replacement and it was our responsibility to check it. I told them it was a used one and we did not notice the stain on the first day and signed the delivery paper without making a note. Although ended up we did not need to pay the cleaning fees and got the replacement. It troubled and worried me, I needed to examine the replacement very carefully to make sure no issues. Sleep Country is so called a big company, they collected the returned mattress and sell as brand new, it is not ethical. They should sell it "as is" or donate it. I don't trust Sleep Country anymore and will not recommend it to anyone and will tell everyone my bad and unpleasant experience.

We were sold a mattress that was visibly used, stained, and torn, despite being told in person it was new and discounted due to lack of warranty. Attempts to return it were met with lacking explanations, and it took considerable energy to get traction on a resolution. That said - the company ultimately took full responsibility. They arranged for the pickup of the soiled mattress and, despite Saturday not being a usual delivery day, delivered a brand new replacement at no cost the day we were leaving town for a longer trip. That effort is appreciated. This review reflects the full arc: a situation that started with unacceptable business practice but ended with the company making it right.
