I stopped in for some pastries. Zucchini bread, brownie, raspberry sugar cookie, and a blueberry muffin. The zucchini bread tastes like it has ginger in it, didn't love that, but I liked everything else. The brownie was fudgy enough. The decor and theme is really cute. They can make decaf lattes as well. I would stop in again.

Who doesn't like a little alien sighting with their morning espresso? The staff here has a sense of humor and a way with lattes. Crowded on the weekend, but line moves fairly quickly.

One thing about me is, I love sipping on a good cup of coffee. As my girlfriend and I made our last stops in South Haven before heading back to Chicago, we knew we wanted to grab some coffee. We found this coffee shop mixed in with all of the shops in the area and were happy to stop in. The vibe was pretty chill, and the barista was friendly and helpful. I ordered a regular latte and my girl got the Chai Tea. All in all our drinks were good and got the job done. We were both satisfied with our purchase. We'll have to stop back in when we're back in South Haven again.

Was in town visiting and dropped by to grab two lattes. Good selection, good prices, and cute interior. Guy working the counter was pretty grumpy, but otherwise great local coffee shop in downtown South Haven.

The line was decent when we came here. Just two ppl working but loads of space to sit. The theme is aliens. After visiting Roswell NM I really wanted to see more aliens. I think I had the black and white. Nice touch on the lids bc they do look like a flying saucer. Living in a beach town you get a lot of visitors. Be nice to the person taking your order. A little niceness goes a long way. I made it a point to ask the lady who took my order how she was doing. It made her smile more.

Awesome local coffee shop! I can't believe that an iced coffee with oat milk was only $2.50!! The new location is very bright, but maintains the sci-fi decor and theme of the previous location. There is plenty of seating and a few baked goods for purchase. The staff is prompt, polite, and gets the drinks out quickly. I highly recommend the Flying Saucer!

The Flying Saucer is out of this world (pun most definitely intended). We were looking for a coffee shop mid afternoon, and this was one of the few that were still open. We got lucky! The inside makes you think you're inside of a spaceship. Awesome decor! The coffee wasn't half bad either. They have flavor pumps up the wazoo and the espresso was really fresh without any burnt type of taste. I got the double cold brew, which is cold brew brewed with cold brew. Apparently most places use water? Anyways, was really good and strong. I needed to add a little sugar even though I usually get my coffee black. I If you're looking for a little pick me up and maybe a little cool down from a day in downtown South Haven, make a pit stop here.

The Flying Saucer was a good stop for lattes while we were out in about. The coffee was good and the shop was nice! It's definitely a place to stop by when you're out and about. I'd recommend the Caramel Silk latte - I thought it was really good!

Fun little coffee shop in downtown South Haven. They lean in to the alien theme and I am here for it! The cold brew is excellent!

After noticing the line to this place extending down the sidewalk both times we were walking through town on a recent Friday evening, we decided to try this place instead of our usual! Trust the locals, isn't that what they say?!? ;) This spot DID NOT disappoint!!!! WOW! SO, SO good!! Also super cute and clean! They keep the line moving so don't be thwarted if there appears to be a wait!! You'll need some time to decide your flavor from the long list of amazing sounding options!! ;) South Pier Creamery offers SO MANY unique flavors and the three that we tried were all on point! So creamy and delicious! Each flavor was robust and satisfying! I asked about a banana option listed that ended up not being available - but the server offered me a different option that ended up being my favorite! The Banana Pudding! It was laced with the thickest, most delicious and dreamy marshmallow cream, bananas, cookie crumb bits, so much goodness packed inside of one little cup! My only regret is that I hadn't saved more room after my dinner to allow me to try a waffle cone! They advertise fresh, homemade cones! Another awesome benefit, if you order at least 2 scoops you can order multiple flavors in your cone or dish! I always love the option to experience more variety!! :) We will most definitely be back to try more of this spot that is new to us, while visiting South Haven!!

Everything was nice until we got our food and one of the employees brought it out, set it down, and says "I wanted someone to bring this out to you because of the review you guys left last time about us (only review we wrote was about shelby being a good worker) and continued to say "we left a review on facebook about the food being bad and it's not okay" We were very confused and told her we're not even on facebook. She couldn't tell us what the name was on the review or what it specifically said. i didn't know how to respond because i've never had an employee come out and say something like that. I didn't know that someone writing a bad review could lead to that but coming out to tables when it's not the same person is not professional and it's just flat out rude.

I could see this place getting very busy, but the times I went it wasn't too bad. Friendly staff at the counter. The lady bird sandwich was tasty and I was very full after it! Husband got a breakfast wrap (it comes pre made in foil behind the counter if that would impact your decision on whether to get it). Tasty nonetheless. Also got a cinnamon roll which was good, a bit sweet of course, but something I'd get again to split! Would stop by here again if you're in the area!

We only ever get ice cream, so that's all I can speak on here! :) I always expect a line and almost always find one. ;) In our experience they keep the line moving along and the wait is never too much to bear! ;) The ice cream choices are numerous and this location conveniently offers a QR code that you can scan to take a look before the flavors are before you! The only problem is that I didn't notice this until someone else pointed it out - it wasn't obvious and I could not find a menu on the wall as I am accustomed to! I'm glad someone else noticed because I needed some time to properly go through the flavors and make my decision! ;) With a regular size cone you can only choose one flavor - I appreciate when 2 flavors are allowed, but I understand when it's not. So many delicious choices make it hard for me to choose just one! ;) A favorite for years has been the toasted coconut! On this recent visit I was so surprised to see that they now offer a chocolate toasted coconut option - of course I had to try! While it was good, it didn't trump the OG!! Another family fav is the yellow cake batter!! Kilwins makes their own waffle cones, you can tell by the amazing smell when you enter the door! They are delicious and often served still a little warm, which is my favorite!! The only downside to this quaint and adorable little beachside shop are the price points! This location runs higher than other locations we've visited that are not along the lakeshore beach towns... :( They are quite expensive and families with several to feed will notice that pretty quickly! This is the reason I can only give 3 starts... I wish the prices were more reasonable - this has kept us from choosing Kilwin's many times over the years as there ARE other equally amazing options in town with much better prices for a delicious ice cream cone!!

Not just for ice cream, either, but for all their sweets. I'd rather just walk by and smell the waffle cones cooking and pay $11 for one scoop of ice cream or $5 for a tiny truffle. Everyone seems very nice, but they're just a few young kids working there.

Barden's Farm Market was an unplanned pit stop during a road trip from Ludington to Indiana. Well,…read moreI'm glad we stopped, because it's an amazing little place for local food. I don't know what this farm market is like during the rest of the year, but when we visited in late summer, there was a lot of fresh produce for sale, including lots of local blueberries and tomatoes. They had so much produce that they even gave us a carton of yellow cherry tomatoes for free! Yeah! I love free things! The tomatoes were super sweet and delicious. We mostly stopped to use the restroom (yes, they have a public restroom) and to grab something for lunch. They have lots of different varieties of sandwiches, all with local ingredients. I got the turkey and white cheddar sandwich, and it was excellent. They sell half sandwiches and whole, and I got a whole sandwich because I was hella hungry. They also have a refrigerated case of salads, like pasta salad, potato salad, bean salad and the like. I got a tub of the pasta salad, which was perfectly dressed (not too oily), and had shaved carrots, grated broccoli and cherry tomatoes. It was excellent, too. Barden's also sells whole pies, donuts, cookies and other baked goods, which I was tempted to buy, but I was trying to be good. But now that I'm sitting here writing this review, I'm thinking of the blueberry pie I saw sitting on the stand, and I wish I would have bought it! Dang it! If only Barden's wasn't so far from me.

This place was hoping busy on a holiday weekend and we felt like we were her only table. Our family ate like royalty.
