Normally I pick up flower bouquets at fancy grocery stores but I was looking for something specific (and at the last minute). None of my normal jaunts had what I wanted. So I visited the Flower Cart to see what they had (after having driven by it earlier in the week). They did not have what I was looking for. The very helpful florist let me know that as soon as I inquired. I wasn't about to visit another place so I perused what they did have. They had some loose flowers that I could've purchased separately and built my own bouquet or they had one, yes one, lonely bouquet already made. It was beautiful so I opted for that. The Flower Cart was pricier than I normally pay but the quality of it was better. The recipient had nice things to say which isn't usually the case with the grocery store versions. Also, and this probably goes without saying, they had a lot less options than the grocery stores I normally go to. As an independent flower shop, I can understand not having a lot of premade bouquets for pop in visitors when you offer same day and next day bouquets that can be ordered on your website. They will even deliver around the Baltimore area. Still, I was pleased with my drop in visit of the Flower Cart and look forward to seeing what they can do when I actually order ahead of time. read more

It's been eleven years since I've been to this shop. I saw an Instagram post offering 6 stems for $5.00 and 16 stems for $10.00 for this past Friday. Parking was a little challenge because their were not many available spots. I arrived when they opened. Others had the same idea. Buckets of different types of flowers and greenery were placed on a table in the center of the shop. My grandson and I were greeted as soon as we entered. You were able to pick the stems of your choice. Once picked you took your flowers to another table to be cut and arranged in beautiful bouquets. The entire staff was very friendly. Once your flowers were arranged, you were able to take them to the counter for payment. I purchased 32 stems which cost $20.00 plus tax. I was able to get 5 different bouquets out of them. I was truly pleased with my total experience. The flowers smelled amazing and they bought smiles to the people that we purchased them for. read more

While I have not yet been able to patronize this business with a custom flower order, I have been to several of their flower arranging workshops and it has always been such a good time. The shop is sooo very cute! The staff are nice and helpful, and the finished products are always stunning. Flowers can be very expensive, but they have various sales running throughout the week to help ease the burden. $5 bouquet Fridays are always a win. They also have a coffee cart in shop, making the flower stop even better! I'm looking forward to purchasing a plant on my next visit. read more

The cutest little flower shop in the Baltimore area! I've always noticed the attention-grabbing artwork on the side of the building and wanted to stop in, but never had. I follow The Flower Cart on social media and noticed they offer $5 flower bouquets on Fridays and figured it was no better time to pop into the shop. The ladies assisting customers were super sweet and helpful and the $5 flower bouquet options were pretty. I even got two hand-picked bouquets since they were all out of the premade ones. The Flower Cart offers a beautiful selection of flowers as well as plants for any special occasion. The Flower Cart also hosts various events at their store for the public. Which I had the pleasure of attending their dried wreath making class, and I had an absolute blast. The Flower Cart is for certain going to be my go-to shop for beautiful flowers to decorate my home, as well as a nice spot to take some classes for an evening of creative fun. read more

I've been ordering from the Flower Cart for many years and in fact, worked there in the 1970s, under the original owner, Fred. Lately, I've been sending flowers to my mom who is in hospice in Baltimore. She always loves the arrangements and Saturday while visiting her, I was so happy to see the gorgeous pink arrangement that I had ordered. I normally order from this place and have no issues, However, this time I ordered a bouquet that was supposed to be wrapped with Eucalyptus and A Dozen roses. I was given a simple dozen roses with no Eucalyptus or much greenery. I could have gotten my order from a gas station or market for way less money. No compensation or concern for the issue. I was told that actual bouquet may not match pictures so buyers BEWARE. read more

I just called to get a small bouquet of flowers, no vase, I mistakenly told them that it was for a justice of the peace wedding and the told me that I would have to pay $225 for that, even though alI I want is a fresh little bouquet of flowers. Anything more than $50 for what I'm talking about would be absurd. read more

Late in the afternoon, I needed to get flowers to a friend who was in the hospital on her birthday. Every other florist said they couldn't do anything until the next day. The company is horrible. I ordered flowers for my grandmothers funeral, the flowers were never delivered. When I called the company to inform them, the owner was very rude and not helpful at all. He kept telling me how he knows he did not make that mistake and my flowers were delivered. The worst $300 I have ever spent. The flower cart is overpriced and unprofessional. My family has used this florist for the past few years, after our previously preferred florist went out of business. After yesterday, never again. Back in March, my grandmother died, and my parents ordered a special wreath for her funeral. They specified one particular type of flower (that has special meaning to my family) to be included in the arrangement. The wreath arrived late to the funeral home (which was literally 2 minutes away from the shop), and without the requested flower. This week, my other grandmother's dear friend passed away. Yesterday, at the viewing, the wreath we had ordered had not arrived. My grandmother called The Flower Cart, only to be told that first, the wreath was on the truck for delivery, and later, that the wreath was lost. After two such upsetting experiences, we will not be giving The Flower Cart any more of our business. read more

Not even worth 1 star. I ordered an arrangement from choices online from their John Hopkins store, for a friend who was in the hospital for cancer surgery. I paid good money and chose a large white rose bouquet with purple accents. She received lilies. It was awful. When I saw the picture of what she got I called, and was told they would send another arrangement. My friend has already gone home. They then told me they would give me a 25% refund on my credit card for the inconvenience. Guess what, after 2 phone calls, never received that either. They are untrustworthy and scam you, and unless you go there in person and see what they are giving you, they will do whatever they want. They care nothing about customer service. I guess they assume people will never get to see what they order. Plenty of other reputable florists in the Baltimore area, I suggest to try one of those. read more

Flowers were very late to be delivered and didn't resemble the picture at all. Could've done much more with the $70 spent. The biggest disappointment is how customer service handles, or doesn't handle, unhappy customers, giving a lot of excuses and passing blame but doing little to make up for the situation. We had lovely, lovely flowers arranged for a sick relative through the Johns Hopkins office of the Flower Cart. Such care was taken in getting the order right, and when the delivery had to be delayed due to a trip to ICU (where flowers are not permitted) the Flower Cart held and freshened the arrangement at no cost. It was delivered, lush and gorgeous, as soon as possible. Excellent value for the money and thoughtful, courteous service. read more

I ordered a basket on-line about three months ago ($82.95.) The picture was a nice basket full of assorted greens plants. I was told that they'd add some flowers to make it nicer. The actual basket that was delivered was merely an assortment of potted flowers (not at all like the picture.) I thought I'd give them another shot and ordered another basket ($71.20 incl. delivery.) The basket was listed as 17in. x 17in. diameter, but the basket that was delivered was very small with a low, sparse, sprawling arrangement. When I called back and asked about the measurements, I was told that it reflected the size of the arrangement (which I assume may have included the ivy that was extending from the basket.) I will say that the delivery was on time, but I will not be using this florist again. read more
