A hidden sports store. I only seen the signs and heard this place by word of mouth. The place sells…read morecamping gear, clothes, and equipment like sportschek but has more outdoor equipment than sports gear. The atmosphere to me has this cabin color vibes which feels nice. I was surprised they sell the car attachment tent structures because I've been looking at these online. It's good to see them in person to see if it's actually the fit you'd like to use. Lots of staff nearby to help which is great. Parking here is very small for a large shop. However, I'm not sure many people are aware of this store. This would definitely be a store I'd come to if I couldn't find gear and equipment near my retail stores. Recommended for anyone looking to get camping, hiking, or outdoor gear.

Prices are high, like all other outdoor stores in Edmonton (seriously, what is with that?) but the service cannot be beat. Don't get me wrong. I also like M.E.C. & Cabela's but the attention to detail and customer assistance at Campers Billage cannot be beat! Whether you're looking for some base layer clothing or the perfect cast iron pan/griddle, you will find it here! I really like their children's section for winter wear & mitts (though my heart belongs to Cabela's for their waterproof Muck boots). This is also my family's go to store for great quality waterproof sandals. The hubs & I just picked up a pair each of Keen'a covered toe sandals for our trips this summer. Dave (in shoes) couldn't have been more helpful or knowledgeable. If you've ever show shopped at Nordstrom's in the states, Dave is that quality of a salesperson. See you soon Camper's Village (well, as soon as my wallet lets me).

Absolutely horrible place to go. Had a simple light job…read moredone 2 weeks ago, it was a complete mess, everyone was extremely rude, they wrote on the side of truck in the dirt, the inside was filthy, my tools in the back were literally thrown around, garbage was left in the box, some sort of epoxy was left on my steering wheel someone had something in their pants which in turn got on my seats and this is just the beginning. Not to mention I was charged 470$ for a 2 hours job where I supplied all the material. They blatantly tried to tell me the job took over 3 hours when I wanted them take my truck in and roll it out. Less than 2 hours later. I complained about this and cap it decided to install a set of lights that I had supplied under my running boards. Thought the whole process they were very rude, the manager did not say a single word to me the whole time I was there I was pretty much completely ignored. The guy working on my truck in the back was a complete ass and a total joke of an installer. Now not even after 2 weeks the lights under my boards have completely stopped working due to the terrible workmanship of cap it and the installers. I have since fixed the lights myself and got to see the awful job that was done. I would be embarrassed to be an employee at cap it and I suggest you stay far far away from this business. 0/10 in every category. If I could give negative 5 stars I would. Very disappointed, will never be doing business again with these guys if you have any respect for your equipment. STAY FAR AWAY NOT WORTH THE RISK OR THE ISSUES!!!

They exchanged the canopy but surprised me with a waiver for the damage AFTER doing the new install. I'm now left with $2500 damage from their product. The manager then threatened to call the cops and have the new accessory "ripped off the truck" if I didn't sign the waiver. When your idea of customer service doesn't involve fixing the damage your negligence caused and blackmailing customers, it's not worth it doing business with them.

I ordered a Parka, as a gift, from MEC's online Black Friday sale on November 29, 2024. Having…read morebeen in the Edmonton south common store a few days before, and observing many in stock, the deal was too good not to order. As I placed my order, it indicated that the downtown store was "Next Day Pick Up". Given that I wanted to pick up as soon as possible, I selected the downtown store, even though the location is terribly inconvenient for me. Approximately 24 hours later, I called the downtown store, whom after about 25 mins on the phone with various people, told me they had no record of the purchase. Of course, I couldn't go pick up the jacket, the next day, at a location that was inconvenient, because MEC hadn't even processed the Order as of yet. Great. I called the customer service line and spoke to a male who told me "this sale has caught us completely off guard and we're overwhelmed". No kidding?? The male told me that there had been staff cutbacks this year, due to how slow it had been, but suddenly the sale has regenerated sales that have overwhelmed the existing employees Ok ... the spokesperson then told me that my jacket was in Winnipeg and had to be shipped to Edmonton! What is going on here, MEC?? You hold a Black Friday sale and you're overwhelmed??? Then my next day pick up, at this inconvenient location, is in Winnipeg??? The kicker is December 16, 2024, I received an email from MEC telling me that my order has been cancelled. My goodness. I've been a supporter of MEC for over 25 years, and have never seen such awful customer service or a absolute lack of responsibility in fulfilling an order - for that matter, I don't think I've ever had a more disappointing exchange with any store, ever, than this experience. I will never again shop at MEC. Shame on you, MEC. Not the MEC I once knew

I did receive the boots early March 2022 however they were too small. In communication with their customer service (via email) I paid postage to return them in exchange for a larger size. As of June 2022 I had still not received the boots. My Canada Post tracking indicated that my return package had been picked up on their end. When I tried to email the company (shoppinng@horselifecanada.com) their email bounced back indicating that the inbox was either full or not being checked regularly. There is no phone number on their website and only a PO Box address to mail any correspondence. Needless to say, I am left without my boots after having paid almost $600! Disappointing to say the least! Dubarry of Ireland stepped up and saved the day - I have done a yelp review on them if you would review - their customer service is amazing! Jenny - Manitoba, Canada

The only section I found they were slightly lacking in was Oilers clothing for women, children, and infants. They had a few but not as many options as say, United Cycle.
