Their website is actually fantastic and Jan packed with info! https://www.stickfixstalbert.com/ Ron, the owner, is a local who played rep hockey in both St. Albert & Edmonton and continues his love of hockey today through the opening of this store in 2018 and coaching. This little shop is conveniently located in Sturgeon Plaza just down the road from Akinsdale/Kinex arenas. Granted we haven't stepped on the ice yet in our freshly 5/8 sharpened skates but I'm confident the job was done with care. Ron took the time to discuss with me what kind of skating the hubs and kiddo do and asked us to let him know what we think and to pop back in if we'd like any adjustments. The shop also buys and sells used hockey, ringette, and lacrosse equipment. My son needs to go up a size in skates for spring hockey so we will be back very soon to check out the selection!

We were in the market for a helmet and the employee in that department was busy so we managed to find what we were looking for without much help. As we were leaving we encountered a pair of employees restocking shelves, the male was super friendly and chatty, it took us a second to realize he had some type of mental disability. We thought it was really awesome to see that kind of diversity in the staff. Plus he was as excited about our purchase as we were! This store definitely has "Golf Town" vibes. When I spoke to the store manager about what happened, I found him condescending rather than helpful. I'm very disappointed with both the workmanship and the customer service we received.

They were made so they looked "vintage." Lots of jerseys, hoodies, t-shirts, and a whole lot of caps lined the walls. There were a few large displays of Oilers merchandise, like yo-yos, keychains, mugs, pucks, clocks, toy cars--pretty much anything you can think of.
