We needed a new grill for our rental property and being 2 hours away, I decided to call around to see if we could shop local vs the Costco route. Phillip was super helpful, found us a floor model that was ready to go, sent videos with explanations of the details and communicated thoroughly. On the flip side, I had reached out to a couple other local shops and one in particular, All Valley BBQ, provided a very different experience. We went in to buy an electric fireplace. They had many styles to choose from, and prices were good. The salesman helped us for about 10 minutes, answered questions etc. Then all of a sudden he walked away and went in to a room with a huge TV and started watching a show. Tried to buy a fireplace insert for a new gas fireplace. I went to the showroom and basically had to look around to find someone to wait on me. The guy didn't know the prices and didn't know whether they had any of them in stock. He more-or-less just stood there and didn't know much about what was available and what wasn't. I tried to get in touch afterward to ask a few questions but no one was available. I went down the street to a competitor and bought the same product for a few hundred dollars less which was a pleasant surprise. The Fire Place store is a very impressive high-end store. Very reasonably priced for what you are getting which is good quality and outstanding warraties. When we visited your store for the first time, Travis helped us. He was a very helpful and courteous to solve a problem that required immediate action. He found the fireplace 45 inch led electric insert that we needed for the following day. We went to the warehouse in Ontario and picked up the insert 2 hours later. We had it installed and Travis came out to the house and measured for the fireplace door. Matthew came out and installed the fireplace door today. Mathew was friendly, on time, professional, hard working and did a great job of installing and finishing our fireplace project. Discussed with Travis got quote on replacement logs $718 , also was quoted $250 to clean and spray old firebox total around $900$/ 1000 Went back 2 days later . No help was like conversation never happened . And of corse no cleaning for fee. Would have been ok but salesman not helpful , like he didn't want the business . Going somewhere else. read more

I read all the reviews here and was cautious .. while doing some holiday running errands I decided to stop into their store and tell them what my problem was. I didn't catch the lady's name that I explained my situation to , but she went over to either the owner/manager and came back and said hang on a moment . Another guy ( Travis) came out and asked if I was headed home he would be 5 minutes behind me ... seriously ?!?? Travis showed up as promised, took a quick look at my fireplace and said yep , exactly as I described. He said 30 minutes and he would be done. 30 minutes later my new fireplace is working perfectly. We were looking for an update to our old fake-wood gas fireplace from the 70s. It was the only thing in the house that had not been updated by the previous owner. I wanted to update my 50 year old fireplace. I didn't like to use it because I had to turn on the gas and then light it. I went to The Fire Place store and Cheryl helped me find the best option without having to do major construction. The answer was, I bought a fire burner kit with a remote control. It was extremely reasonably priced for what I think transformed my fireplace. The kit was in stock so it only took a week. Travis was the installer. Here is an update from my review of 12/28/13...The guys here were right! My decorator and contractor screwed up. The fireplace was not what they said and in the end the fellows at The Fire Place were RIGHT!!!! But, having said that .. their communication skills and customer service left me high and dry...if only they had been willing to come to the house ... look at the product installed and then give me a report, I would have likely hired them to replace the current box that was sub standard and not what we wanted. So, they may know what they are doing but what matter is that if they can't explain it properly or identify a serious potential client. Best wishes to them and if I were starting from scratch I would give them a try for sure. read more

We had a gas-capable fireplace that had only been used previously to burn Duraflame type logs. We wanted to convert to a gas-log or burner type unit, but didn't have a clue what we needed. The process and installation couldn't have been easier, and the price was very reasonable. The change to a gas burner and glass rocks is very attractive and heats the room easily. Custom outdoor fire pit I just had this fire pit installed and was completely satisfied from the design to the installation. I could not find what I wanted so they suggested we build custom, which allows you to build the perfect size, pick your stone work, pick your burners, timers, etc. They even went and picked the stone up after I ordered it. Everything was done when they said it would be and no unexpected surprises. Funny thing is that it didn't cost me any more than the ones I was looking at but I got exactly what I wanted. I dealt with about 5 people including the owner, who all had a friendly and caring attitude. I highly recommend this gang for any fireplace needs. read more

WARNING. My experience with this company was HORRIBLE. I've remodeled several properties and dealt with many vendors in Coachella Valley and my experience with bait and switch PHIL (the owner) was HORRIBLE. The fireplace door was promised in three weeks, but took NINE weeks. When I pressed bait and switch PHIL for answers, he offered excellent lip service in the beginning. He then became super emotional and sent me incredibly unprofessional bizarre emails. When Phil's installer finally completed the installation, it was sub par. As retaliation for being upset that I was lied to about delivery times and given horrible customer service, Phil actually called the Palm Desert Code enforcement because he knew I was in the middle of a full scale remodel. Like a child, he informed me of his intentions in one of his highly bizarre emails. Phil also made an unauthorized debit to my credit card. My experience with bait and switch Phil was a complete disaster from A-Z. Phil bragged to me that he was so busy it would not matter if I posted a negative review. My personal experience and subsequent opinion of bait and switch Phil is he's an over emotional pre Madonna who won't take responsibility for poor service, over promises and under delivers. I would head down the street to the competing fireplace store. STAY AWAY. read more
