Desert BBQ Cleaning is a service we have now used for over 8 years, and every time they clean our grill, I swear it turns new again. Thank you Steve, the owner for always being so knowledgeable. Even with gaps between cleaning, when he answers the phone, it immediately feels like we just had lunch. And Justin, who cleaned our grill is so professional and kind. Cannot recommend Desert BBQ Cleaning more highly...yes while their are now other choices to have my grill cleaned, there is truly only one. Desert BBQ Cleaning read more

I called and told them my bbq needed repair and they said clean but could do minor repairs. They did a good job cleaning but the cost for 2 hrs was outrageous and they DID not do any repairs. For $300 I would expect cleaning and repair. I could do my own cleaning but the repairs cost me another $100 but that guy was great!!. The owner would not offer any discount and said he did not promise any repair. I would not have hired them because my issue was the repair but was willing to pay for both. read more

The service was exceptional. Our BBQ looks great and is clean. Job well done. I would highly recommend Desert BBQ Cleaning

I was hoping to keep a medium-grade grill in service for another couple of years with a good (albeit pricey) cleaning. Instead of a a good experience, it was a GREAT one! The grill looks (almost) new including the glass window on the hood. Excellent response and service! read more

First time with Desert BBQ Cleaning for the annual cleaning of my grill. The grill looks great and it is cleaner than I could do myself. Scheduling by phone with Steve, the owner, took almost no time at all. I set up a slot for a few days later. Brian arrived on time and did an excellent job. So easy to get the job done so well. read more

10/4/22 Yesterday, our BBQ was serviced. And it looks brand new. The Technician (Justin) was professional, efficient, totally focused and extremely courteous. I highly recommend Desert BBQ and of course, Justin too! read more

Excellent! Punctual, courteous, and did an exceptional cleaning on my BULL BBQ. I thought my bbq was beyond being able to clean it, but when I looked at the price of a new BBQ, I decided go give Desert BBQ Cleaning a try, I've seen their van at other jobs in my neighborhood. The service tech, Christian, was on time, friendly, explained what they were going to do and then brought my old BBQ back to life! A clean BBQ not only looks good, it all but eliminates the fire flare ups I was getting when it was dirty... Thanks Desert BBQ Cleaning, you saved me $$$$ over buying a new unit... Highly Recommend! read more

Have appointment set for 8/27/21. Cost of service seems expensive ($300 for basic service) when compared to cost of grill purchased 5 years ago. But when I did a cost comparison of replacing grill, a new gas grill would cost $450 or more. Let's see how cleaning works out! Travis came out, showed up on time, was super friendly and personable and, 2 1/2 hours later, our grill is like new!! read more

I scheduled a week in advance, on the phone, with owner Steve. Made sure someone was at the house on November 4, between 11 and 1, for our scheduled appointment. No one showed. Called the next day and spoke to Steve who told me he didn't have us scheduled. OK, mistakes happen. So I asked him when they can come out and clean our grill. Steve said he would find the earliest opening he has and call me back. Never heard back. So here's your 1 star review. read more

I was very impressed with my experience with Desert BBQ Cleaning. Steve responded quickly via phone after I submitted a service request and gave me a full run down of the process and what it would, and more importantly, what it would NOT do. If your grill is beaten, abused, or exposed to the elements, do not expect it to be as good as new. If you want "clean as new" go BUY a new grill... I like that they use non-caustic cleaners and haul away all the mess, so right there I decided to give it a shot. I've detail cleaned my 9-year old Weber Genesis grill before and it was an all day project, but currently my health prohibited me from cleaning it on my own. I BBQ at a minimum 4 days a week, AND I use a smoker box, which creates a TON of soot. I last cleaned my grill probably 4 years ago, so that's at least 800 uses on anything you can cook on a grill. The top cover had so much black soot on it the whole thing was crusted over and peeling off, and would fall on food if I wasn't careful closing it. Nick came to the house promptly the morning of, with the cleaning rig seen on the website, and did an amazing job of cleaning both my grill and my neighbor's grill (we took advantage of the neighbor-too discount). Nick did a very nice job of cleaning up the mess, and was nice enough to explain the soaking process and how the hot parts-bath worked. The last time I saw my BBQ that clean was the day I took it out of the box and assembled it! After everything was cleaned and put back together, in less than 4 hours, another employee came and performed a function check of the grill to make sure it was working right and safe to use. I ran the grill at max output for around 10 minutes to burn off any residue inside just in case, but I never smelled any. I ended up grilling that evening and there was no weird smell or taste to dinner AT ALL. I only have an "after" shot of the clean grill, since I didn't have the presence of mind to take a "before," but it was nasty! Having a filthy grill is dangerous and makes it harder to cook due to the flare ups and grease fires that singe and burn meat, which makes it unhealthy to eat. Now that I know Desert BBQ is around, I won't ever have to worry about that again. Is it cheap? Well, not exactly... Don't expect to only have to pay someone $100 for 4 hours of hard work scrubbing, dip cleaning, polishing, and doing things you don't want to have to do; that isn't fair for what they're providing. However, it is WAY CHEAPER than getting a new grill. The price for what you're getting is reasonable, and honestly it's not like your health isn't worth it!!! read more

My grill looks brand new! I couldn't be happier Nick arrived on time and did an amazing job. This is the second time I've hired Desert BBQ and I'm sure I will be bringing them back in 3-4 years since I do a crappy job maintaining my Alfresco grill. read more

So nice!! I have them come every two years to clean and service my built in bbq. They leave it sparkling clean and shiny. I trust them to come out when I'm not home. They are busy but worth the wait. read more

They did do a good job cleaning the grill - very expensive but clean. However, in doing so, they scratched the fron of the grill extensively. The worker gave me a story that the polishing brought it up. The owner cam out but refused to admit that they did it- "we've done thousands of grills over the years " Well, I [aid a lot of money for cleaning that resulted in a significantly scratched grill that is not even two years old. read more

UPDATE: the owner, Steve, called later that evening to apologize for having a "rough day." The next day one of his guys showed up and cleaned the mess up along with a better detailing job of the BBQ itself. I am now quite satisfied with the finished job. read more

Eric was the one who cleaned our grill. We use it all the time and it's about 12 years old. I'm a detailed person (picky) and knowing the condition it was in he did a great job! I had questions about the igniters and a knob and a couple of other things and he knew what he was talking about. It's refreshing to pay for a service and feel good about the results. I recommend them. read more

Hired to clean built-in BBQ and storage space underneath. The 'tech' did a sloppy job on the storage space and the pull-out catch plate, and didn't touch the rotisserie skewer. There were small pieces of debris from the dirty grill on our patio tile that he didn't clean up. To their credit, the owner had someone come out a few days later to fix everything. They didn't charge me for the storage space cleaning and took a bit more off for the inconvenience. That is what a well-run company should do and, to their credit, they did it. read more

I have always cleaned my grill myself each spring before we depart for the summer, but having seen the Desert BBQ truck around the country club all winter I asked around and got good comments from neighbors. A little shocked at the $300 price, but that is the price you pay for hiring pros to do it up right. Much better cleaning job than I ever did - all the crud is gone - and even polished the exterior SS. Steven and Nick were great technicians and very courteous. I wanted to rate them at 4-1/2 stars just due to the price, but you can't do that on Yelp. read more

OMG Professional and Courteous !! Nick and Steve arrived - Im' giving them an A + Honestly my barbecue was in dreadful condition I'm embarrassed to say I neglected the up - keep. I was just going to give it away. Im left with a grill that is sparkling, the gas leak was discovered. Juan the manager arrived to replace the parts to make my Grill brand NEW ! This job gets 5 stars including the $300 price tag for the cleaning !! I've cleaned my BBQ over the years, the elbow grease that goes into a job like this deserved the $$$ paid out. Thanks again Nick, Steve and Juan !! read more

These guys are amazing. Made my Fire Magic look like new. Showed up on time. Very professional. Highly recommend.

Very pleased and impressed with this service. Office was extremely professional in terms of scheduling a cleaning and telling me what I could expect from them. I received regular reminders that again went over what was included and also let me know about add ons that I could elect to have when they showed up. Our technician, Justin, called that morning to say he could arrive early if that worked for my schedule, it did. Justin was extremely professional and personable. He did a fantastic job. I was so happy with the job he did, a grill outside is never going to look brand new, that's not realistic with our extreme weather. But it was spotless and a vast improvement. This will make it easier for me to maintain. Yes it was $350, but for what I received in terms of professionalism and the excellent job (2 hours) Justin did, I felt like I got my money's worth. It was just so nice to schedule a service where everything went flawlessly and the job actually exceeded my expectations. (I'm pretty detailed about these things.). So save your time and just call them. read more

Concerned about cost. I will never again complain . No odor, everything as expected. Clean, neat and looking pristine. Very pleased!!! read more

Will never use again and would never recommend. Ridculously high prices and a difficult owner. I called this company because I had a heating problem with my grill and the temperature would never get hot enough. After doing some online searching I suspected a bad gas line. I contacted Desert BBQ Cleaning after finding them on the internet. They clean and repair grills. I had to repair the problem quickly for my tenants. I spoke to the owner Steve on the phone and mentioned the gas line but he said that 95% of heating problems are caused by dirt and that a cleaning should solve the problem (even though I had already spent more than 2 hours cleaning the grill myself a few weeks earlier). Small grills would be $290 and large $350 to clean! I presumed (wrongly on my part) that my Kmart grill would be $290. He also said he would honor his online coupon for $25 off so in my mind the problem should be fixed for $265. Still pretty expensive but I booked the cleaning. The technician showed up and cleaned the grill. I didn't hear anything from the company and saw the credit card charge for $350!!! When I called them to inquire, I was told that the heating problem was due to a defective gas line that would have to be ordered (in Florida???) and would cost me another $100 with installation...ummm WHAT??? Could the technician not have checked for this before cleaning? After arguing with the owner, he agreed to order the piece and install it without charging me anymore money. Finally after waiting days, my tenant went to Home Depot on his own, bought a gas line for $29 and installed it. Voila - all fixed! I contacted the owner one last time to see about adjusting my charges in light of everything but got told he was already out the money for placing the order so there was nothing he could do. Never again.... read more

I never have written a YELP review before, but this one needs to be written. This is a local business and there was no shortages of companies to call to clean my heavily used BBQ. I am glad I called them. They were on time, courteous, and clean. They did a job I cannot believe. My BBQ looks brand new and cleaned in every corner. Even the Sear Burner, which was a mess, looks like it just came out of the box. My suggestion, call them as they are great. read more

My first Yelp review but it needs to be written. Desert BBQ Cleaning seemed to be the most expensive service around but the steam cleaning process sounded good. Starting our BBQ was a bit of an issue. Juan showed up and never did seem to use the steam cleaning trailer but he did clean the unit. Now, it will not start at all! Steve called in an effort to sell me the same service again. I told him "Never again". Steve promised to come by and provide a free cleaning. Never heard from them again. Save your money. read more

Great job and on time that says a lot to me. I will be using this company again and referring them to family and friends.

This was my first time using this company and I was pleased. BBQ looks great and the guys cleaned up after themselves. Only reason i don't give 5 stars is price - it's a bit high. However, I could solve that by getting off my butt and cleaning it myself in the heat. :-) read more

BEWARE!!! I had them come out to clean and fix my BBQ on Friday, hoping to use it over the weekend. What actually happen was really unprofessional. They cleaned the outside of the BBQ, however the inside was still a mess. In addition, they left a note that they couldn't fix the BBQ. NOT GOOD. I called the owner Steve to complain and he proceeded to lecture me on their company policies. He didn't like that I was upset and refused to fix my BBQ. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL... read more

Reviews are very personal and prior to writing mine, I read a significant variation in the ones posted to this company. I did this after the job was completed. In the past I have read reviews and hired based on them. Sometimes it worked out and sometimes it didn't. So I went a different route this time. I happened upon an ad in the local paper. The company was advertised as "Veteran Owned", which I liked, was offering a Summer discount (which I also liked), so I gave a call. I had a solid and enjoyable conversation with the owner (Steve), told him what I needed (complete cleaning of my Weber Grill), we set up a time, and two days later a young man (I think Nick) showed up (a half hour early) to do the work. He was professional, personable, and did an outstanding job. I am a very thorough individual and when he was done, I found two very small areas that I asked him to give a bit more attention to. Five minutes later I reinspected his work and I had nothing to say other than "thank you for doing an exceptional job." I was compelled to tip him personally because it was that good. Lastly, before leaving, his superior (Juan) stopped by to make sure I was happy. That was a good business practice in my opinion. I would not hesitate to hire them again or recommend them to my neighbors. read more

Not entirely honest. Watch out as they may try to charge you more than their quote after the job is done. I would not use them again.
