This is hands down the worst experience I've had in my entire career and that's saying a lot given that I manage over 20 Airbnb properties. The level of unprofessionalism is unbelievable. Communication is practically nonexistent: messages go unanswered, follow-ups are ignored, and jobs are left pending for months with zero accountability. When the work was finally done, it was shockingly poor. Cheap igniter buttons were installed that literally melt after a few uses, creating a serious and unacceptable fire hazard. Instead of taking responsibility, this provider excels at one thing only: excuses. No solutions. No urgency. No ownership. If you value your time, money, property, or basic safety, stay far away. We used A1 BBQ Cleaner 4 years to clean a BBQ and they did a fantastic job so after moving to a new house we needed the existing BBQ that was at least 15 years old cleaned. 3 times a no-show. I'm truly disappointed as most of the Yelp reviews are highly complimentary. The first no-show, he said he had forgotten about a doctor appointment and had written down my phone number incorrectly so, was unsuccessful reaching me. We rescheduled. The morning of the second appointment, I texted when late. He texted back to say he forgot to write down our rescheduled appointment so, we booked a third appointment. The day of the 3rd appointment, I called when he was 30 minutes late from the time he had promised me he would show up. My call went to his voicemail that was full so, I texted. It's now 10 days later and I have not received a reply. I can only hope the best for him as I look for someone else to clean my BBQ. read more

Had a terrible time with Chris and would caution you against him. I reported an issue with some of my gas grill's igniters but instead of fixing those he cleaned the grill and charged me $350 and my grill still wasn't fixed. He then quoted me an additional $335 to fix the issue I reported to him and needed $100 of that paid up front. I reluctantly agreed because I was pressed for time and he came and removed all of my existing igniters to order new parts. After a month and a half of him not returning my messages mixed in with a few false commitments I finally got my $100 back but he never returned my old parts which were at least partially working. Chris and an associate came over to clean my grill. Did a good job. He noticed that we have a propane grill but had it connected to a natural ugas line. Suggested that we change to gas with a conversion kit that he could install. We agreed. Said it would cost $125 extra and asked if we could pay him up front so he could order the parts. We agreed and gave him the cash. This guy has never shown up. We probably spoke to him over a dozen times and he has had excuses each time. I contacted A-1 & understood a quote of $125 to clean my grill. They arrived this morning at my home & finished the job in a little over an hour. When I went to pay them, I was told the cost would be $325. The grill is stainless steel, two burners with a rotisserie, & a S/S base, so not very large & the inside was not very dirty or greasy. There were some marks & burn damage to the outside & removing this left some abrasions on the surface, which I could accept in order to clean it. The gentlemen then called his boss & came back with a price of $225 after being told I understood it to be $125. I gave him $200 & told him I didn't have any more cash. Based on this experience I would neither use or recommend them to others in need of this service. read more

I just had Chris come out to repair my Grand Turbo Barbecues Galore barbecue. Igniter problem and a small gas leak. He showed up on time and did a remarkable job. Fixed it up in an hour and offered to clean it for a small extra charge which was very generous of him. He was very determined to fix the gas leak which, if you know the Grand Turbo, is a complicated event. He didn't give up and finally got it sealed. Bravo Chris. Completely unreliable. I have tried to use A1 BBQ twice now and both times they did not show up at the initially committed time. Then said they would be out the next day - on the first attempt they missed the appointment altogether and came out the next day but four hours after they said they would be here!
