This is a fantastic community of Caribbean women of all ages, and the instructors are incredibly friendly! They're more than happy to help you out if you're struggling with the exercises. The classes run twice a day, starting at 6 PM and last about an hour on the weekdays. I was never into weight lifting before, but Tish has definitely changed that for me--lol. Let me tell you, it's one place where you can be yourself and let loose. No one judges you. I started way back, met some really great instructors past and presents. I loved my experience here baad all the variety of classes they offer and the staff is very friendly and nice. The only thing I didn't feel great about was the Yoga class, it seemed very beginner and slow for my liking. Maybe it is very beginner level but I don't know how it will progress if it's always beginner level. My goal for the yoga classes is to take yoga classes and progress, that's just my preference. Also it got cancelled twice in the same week which messed up my schedule, but they did give me an extra day for taking classes to compensate. Other than that, I really enjoyed all the other classes I took including, Zumba, full body workout, socacize etc. I would definitely recommend this place. read more

I honestly don't know where to start! Planning a 1st birthday in NYC isn't easy nor cheap. But I stumbled upon Tish & her gem the Figure studio, and fates were sealed. Not only is her space BEAUTIFUL, its clean and convenient!. She had such an amazing price that we jumped at the opportunity. Not only is she attentive she was actually SO helpful with us setting up for our sons party, she even helped when i couldn't get the balloons up while rushing. Where do I start??.. well for one I absolutely love this place and everything about it. I love the owner, Tish. She's so smart, sweet and also cute! She invited me for the grand opening day - I decided to do the socacize class and bought 2 friends with me. The class had the right amount of challenge and fun! My friends and I were super beginners to working out and we made it out of the class sore yet sooo much more invigorated. I never sweat so good before in my life. Since then I fell in love with coming to the figure studio and try to make it once a week. This is my place where I come to burn the stress from a long week. I have tried zumba, total body boxing, and socacize. But when I miss a week I'm dying to be back here because it's such an encouraging place to be. Each instructors are full of energy, professional and accommodating. My personal favorite instructor is Jennifer Gibson. Recently I had a dilemma, my son was turning 1 and I didn't think my house would be ready in time for his party. So I spoke with the owner Tish and she worked with me. The space worked out to be better than great. The lights were dimmable, the changing room I turned into a photo booth. The space was already very nice and with our balloons and everything it was perfect. My guest enjoyed themselves. The kids had a blast and my son loved dancing in front of the mirror. I had fun and after one socasize class I felt like I had more energy, I felt my ab muscles start to tighten (spasm), I haven't worked out like that in a long time. After a couple more classes I should be able to keep up with the class without getting tired quickly, it a real cardio workout for sure. read more

So I decided to do a drop in (just $10) sometime las week with my mom just to check this place out, being that is so close to home. Let me just say that this place is ROCKIN! From the minute you walk in you get greeted by the owner, a sweet young lady named Tish. She's super nice and willing to answer any questions you may have! Than you walk into the dance room which happens to be pretty big & super cute, that's when the FUN PART STARTS!! It's non stop dancing till you finish! Seriously in love with this place! The classes are so much fun and the environment has a family feel to it. The classes are a full hour and you always get a good sweat. I've been back and forth between gyms for a while now and tried classes elsewhere but this is the first place where I feel comfortable enough to continue going. This studio is a gem! The owner is very approachable and creates a friendly environment. I've taken several classes with Mario and Dita. They both bring so much energy and kindness, you can at times forget they're killing you with a workout! They both go out of their way to make you feel special. Love the music selections! I literally have been waiting FOREVER for a cool workout studio to open, in this neighborhood. And it has FINALLY happened. Went to #WUKKOUT it was great. Think HIIT Soca style - whinning included. The instructor was attentive, space is huge, the overall customer service deserves 10/10 and the workout left me sore. Being the feminist that I am it felt great to be in the company of WOMEN of different shapes, sizes, age and ethnicities. This review is LONG OVERDUE! I am total gym rat that saw her world crashing down at the onset of Covid. Instead of commuting into the city and working out there, I was confined to my home. Fortunately, I found a GREAT work out studio in my neighborhood. I was impressed by the level of cleanliness they maintained during the pandemic. The studio was kept very clean. They meticulously followed all safety rules as they changed throughout this pandemic, which made me feel safe about working out. I always enjoyed their work out classes, as the community there are welcoming and motivating. When I graduated to personal training to up my fitness, my training session with the owner, Tishiannae were great. Tishiannae possesses a passion for fitness and is very knowledgeable about fitness. First, this space is AH-MAZING!!! It's gorgeous and clean and just makes you feel serene, then the beautiful barn doors open and it's just pure ardor! Second, the instructors are absolutely great at what they do, they motivate and encourage you, take the time to teach the moves and make sure your form is good and of course help you achieve your goal of feeling accomplished with a great sweat. My first time doing any kind of class in about 8 years, did power toning first with Tish then socacize right after with Dita and loved it. They were both friendly, helpful, and motivating. The figure studio is by far the most beautiful space to work out in the neighborhood. I've been there for multiple events over the past few months. The greeting/waiting area is welcoming and includes a kiddie section. As you head through the large sliding door into an open space with perfect acoustics, the motivation starts to set in. There are even neon lights that change colors to the bass of the music! Although I haven't taken a class myself, I've seen the workouts, as friends have attended, and they look like a ton of fun!
