If there is one thing I wanted to try the most in the world besides food, it was reformer pilates. I've always heard of this studio and passed it a few times over the years, I never took the leap and signed up for a class until this year. I started my journey earlier this year and it's been roughly 8 months now and I am extremely happy that I did. The studio, firstly, is very clean and well-maintained. You can see very clearly that the staff puts a lot of care into the space through their facilities and equipment. They enforce a no-shoes policy and recommend shoes off inside, which really makes it feel even cleaner inside. The instructors here are also very welcoming and understanding of each individual. I had a neck injury halfway through the year and had to adjust the way I did some of the workouts and I was not pressured to complete a workout if I felt I couldn't. You will definitely feel supported in every aspect of your workout here as the staff is very accommodating. I have always felt comfortable and safe attending a class even throughout my recovery. I have noticed that my posture, physical health, mental health, and body have gotten 100x better. I feel stronger every day and more confident as the day continues. Doing mat pilates over the years at home, you aren't certain you are performing the moves correctly but after joining this studio I can confidently do mat pilates on the days I can't attend a class. I've since moved further away from this studio and I still make my now 1.5-hour commute to come to this studio. They have many classes throughout the week and their app makes it easy to sign up. I love their class size of 7, though it isn't 1 on 1, you still get a very similar feeling since the class is on the smaller side compared to other studios. Overall, I would 100% recommend this studio to anyone who is looking to strengthen their body inside and out. I've already invited several friends to join me and they have all loved it. I've been taking the reformer classes for a while here now and they are honestly the highlight of my day. Jaehee and Jayden are the best!! I used to have lower back pain and weak ankles, but the exercises have really changed that. I have a bad back and was looking for a Pilates studio to help strengthen it. Looking at the studios available by me, Studio Square seem to be the most honest and straightforward around. I called other places that just want to sign you not caring if they actually have room to take in additional students with the reduced class sizes due to COVID. Studio Square not only was up front on pricing, they advised me which classes were smaller so I can get the attention I need as a beginner. I have been going now for a month and the studio is clean and we wipe down each bench at the end of each session. The instructors are patient and they push you just a little to get the best workout possible. They also offer alternative for the excepciones for any issue you might have like my bad back. read more

Love the classes but dont recommend it you are looking for a workout were you leave with strenght. I was crawling out! I consider myself a fit person but their teacher def pushed me. I was sore for two days and i loved it. I wish the prices for monthly pilates were a little lower but either way i still do enjoy the may classes so im good. read more

What do you get when you have a short, stubby person wishing that they are flexible and able to fly? Me at an aerial yoga session. Did I mention I started off my day with this? I'm from Atlanta, so I don't have to worry too much about parking. My aunt has been coming here for awhile now. She is SO flexible. She invited me to go with her while I was in town, and I thought it would be fun. I'm actually flexible, I just never properly have done yoga. And if I was going to do it, I was going all the way. In typical New York fashion, parking is wherever you can find. The studio is located on the second floor. We take off our shoes at the front in typical Korean/Asian fashion. We can hang our jacket towards the back of the building. There is water off to the right side/sitting area. Our aerial yoga was towards the back to the right. We worked with this almost stretchy hammock-like material that was mounted to the ceiling. I didn't worry that I wasn't going to fall, because I know that they test to make sure they can carry a certain weight. I can't remember our instructor's name, but she was SO cute. She speaks both Korean and English, which was great, because I don't understand Korean. I didn't feel out of place, and she made sure that I was safe. We had one other newbie, my aunt, and two other ladies who has just started. My instructor came to me, asking if I have any heart issues, fear of heights, and if I was okay being upside-down - it was going to be an inversion session. She pulled us through various moves. Helped me get in and out of positions I had a hard time with. And some of the more advance moves, she would let me attempt them. If I didn't feel comfortable with it, she gave me something more manageable for someone so new. I was honestly in awe of her. My favorite was towards the end when we wrapped in a little cocoon. I'm not going to lie when towards the end, I thought I was going to be sick because my head was not use to the blood draining there. But I wouldn't change that experience for anything. If I come back to New York, I really would love to come back to the studio. And I think if you are in the area, you should check it out. Top notch yoga studio that offers a wide variety of programs. They are one of the few studios in the area that offers flying yoga and it's an excellent class. Reserving a spot can be difficult since it's so popular but well worth it. Facilities are clean and the staff is friendly. read more
