We came to Jorday after going to another dance school. The difference was night and day. On the day of our first lesson, our instructor apologized about the class being a little bit crowded, 8 poeple. This was like heaven compared to our last school that had upwards of 70 or 80 people packed into 1 class. The instructors were very knowledgeable and broke down the steps well. If you weren't getting the moves, they would nicely suggest staying at that level before moving to the more advanced class. The schedule was great for us and the price was great, the instructors are great. Go go go! read more

You don't have to be Ginger and Fred to take a class here! Small groups, friendly instructors and atmosphere, computerized tracking of your program and nice price too. They have hours I can squeeze into my crazy schedule, which is really great. Call in advance to make sure the instructor/class are running on holiday weeks/weekends, though. read more

My daughter had her birthday party there this year. She has been dancing at the school for over three years. This place is a second home to her. She loved having her birthday there. Zavivah was a great teacher for the party, Tiffany was an amazing makeup artist and Joel was a fun host. I love this studio. read more

I've been coming here for years now to take the belly dance classes, Kazja is the best belly dance instructor that I've had. She is absolutely amazing! She also teaches belly dance fitness. Overall the dance instruction was good. My son learned alot. However, my son was purposely kicked in the face by a fellow student. The instructor for lack of a better term took with a grain of salt. I did not think it was cute. Jorday didn't take it serious either. To get a hold of her was a challenge on its own. I am not going to recommend anyone else, but my son is doing great at another studio and I have no worries. It is a business but the children's safety is taken serious. read more

I have to say that I LOVE this studio and all of the wonderful staff and instructors, I have been going there for over a year now and it has been the best decision ever, I started with the adults classes to see how it was and couple of months later I signed up two of my 3 daughters (my little one was only 2 at the time), the patience shown by all their teachers was amazing and my daughters beg for more and more lessons, I am sooo pleased with them that I can not wait to sign my little one there, after seeing all the growth in my little girls life as dancers and as young ladies I can not but speak the very best of Jorday and her staff they always make us feel like family. I was very excited to take my 3 year old to her very first ballet lesson. She was excited too. I signed her up for baby ballet on fridays at 4 pm starting September 19th. On that afternoon I showed up at 3.55 with my baby all dressed up and ready to go. The studio, however, was closed. I called over the phone and they told me "somebody will open the door". We waited and waited until I called again but this time nobody picked up the phone. I also noticed that there were no other mothers waiting for this same class which seemed unusual to me. After half hour of waiting i gave up and left with a very disappointed 3 year old. The following week I called the studio and they told me that there was a situation that prevented them to having the class but they reassured me that this friday the classes would begin. I was already on my way with my daughter all dressed up again when i received a call about a half hour before the class was to begin - Once again the class was cancelled. I would have appreciated had they told me this information earlier this morning or perhaps even yesterday. I told them i wanted a refund and they told me that they would call me back within an hour and they never did. THIS IS NOT A RELIABLE STUDIO. read more

Love love love this dance studio! I originally had just one of my daughter's enrolled but now I have both! This place is like a family they work so well with the children . My girls come home and they're still dancing the night away and raving about how much fun they have and it really shows how much they learn by just me seeing them dancing. Staff is very helpful, the teachers are amazing and they really show the kids a lot of technical moves appropriate for there class and age. Ms. Tiffany treats the kids as her own really striving them to be there best! The owner is a wonderful person as well! She really cares about the kids and she cares about them really learning and doing their best when it comes to dancing. I would highly recommend this place they have become an extended family to us since where they are for many dance classes. Im so proud of my daughters and how much they've learned. Very Disappointed!!!!!! I was looking for a dance school for my three year old toddler in the neighborhood and found Jorday Rivera. At first I was intrigued because the decor was nice and clean and people were friendly. But then when I agreed to join and signed on the dotted line all the fees started to magically appear. The ballet uniform, ballet and jazz shoes, the ballet and jazz alphit for the recital, and the recital tickets. To top it off the school would close when ever it wanted without notifying anyone. I am going to finish out what I signed up for and never go back again!!!! One more thing during the class other kids would have to walk through my toddlers class to get to theirs. Not a big deal, except we all know the attention span of a three year old. read more

Jorday and her team of instructors are amazing. They are so good with the kids. They really have the skills of dancing and teaching. Highly motivational and inspiring. My daughter was so excited when she finally got her middle split and was able to do a cartwheel. I was in shock when the entire staff called me over to see her do the cartwheel. Her studio is family orientated and all the kids are truly great. I even took classes for Salsa and Belly Dancing while my daughter was in her class. Love them. My daughter is 2 1/2 yrs old and I brought her to Jorday's dance studio via a livingsocial deal. All I can say is that they exceeded my expectations by 200%. I was scared that my daughter would not like being in the dance room without me and with 5 other little female toddlers that she was meeting for the first time as I watched from the surveillance video in their reception area (they do this because parents in the room is disruptive while they learn, which I totally agree). As I watched while biting my nails, I was so impressed by Katja, the fantastic ballet instructor and young Chelsea her great assistant. They made my daughter feel so comfortable and I watched as they patiently instructed her what to do. I could not hold back my tears as I watched my baby. I am actually getting teary eyed now as I type this review. This was a life changing experience because i know how much my daughter loves to dance, and as she embarks on this wonderful journey I know that Jorday, Katja, Chelsea and the rest of the staff will make this the time of her life. There are too many opportunities available for our children in this world and when you find the right fit for their education and development, you can never take that for granted. I have spoken to Jorday over the phone and when I emailed an inquiry she responded directly, and I could not be happier. How a woman with her busy schedule had the time to acknowledge my question and address it so quickly is truly remarkable, and after reading her bio on her site, along with Katja's (which is also very impressive) and the rest of the staff, I felt truly inspired and am so excited to see my daughter at her next ballet class!!! read more
