As I walked to the front door. they shut it and locked it. ( it was wide open when I got there ) they didn't even say that they were closed. They seen me sitting there when they walked out. And said nothing. I knocked on the door. No one answered. I drove around the front and took a picture of the phone number and called twice to no avail. I called the following day and asked to speak with the manager. He knew I was going to call. The kids said I was out on my phone, and he let the manager know that I was going to call. I asked the manager how did he know if I was going to call and why would he know that. I'll tell you why because he shut and locked the door in my face and didn't even have the courtesy to tell me that they were closed at three. And the manager was quite rude. And I hung up on him and that was my first time and last time at the store. The manager told me that the kid told him I was on the phone for a few minutes before I got out. I tried asking the manager why didn't the kid tell me that he was closing? closed? He was already there he seen me. And when I called after they shut and locked the door on me it was 3:01 PM. Pretty shitty customer service. If I was sitting in my car for so long., how did I call them twice at 3:01. When I got there at 2:55? And I had to drive around the front of the building, to take a picture of the phone number to call them. All in a matter of six minutes. So if I called twice at 3:01 when I had the drive around the front to get the number in the first place, they closed the store early. I hope the owner sees this! Because if I was him, neither one of them kids would have a job. They need to learn customer service. PS you only got one star review only because I had to post a star to post this review

Tractor Supply is honestly one of my go-to places, especially for pet food. Unless Publix or…read moreWalmart happens to be running some kind of special promotion, I usually find that Tractor Supply gives me a better price for the quantity of dog and cat food I'm buying. They also tend to have some pretty good sales on pet food and treats. Now, WILD BIRD AND SQUIRREL PEOPLE... this is where they lose me a little bit. I'm fairly new to feeding the birds and squirrels as a hobby, but I feed multiple species daily, so quantity and price matter. Their selection of bird food is GREAT, but I find their prices a little high for the amount you get. For example, today a 3-lb bag of raw peanuts in the shell was on sale for $9.99, normally $12.99. Meanwhile, I can get around 5 lbs at Publix for just over $6. So needless to say, my squirrels will continue getting their peanuts from Publix. I'm probably going to start doing the same with my birdseed because the blend I use is cheaper elsewhere for a larger quantity. That being said, Tractor Supply offers SO much more than just food. They have the self-service dog wash, veterinary services, pet supplies, treats, gardening and plant supplies, and all those random little things I'd rather grab here than make a trip through Lowe's or Home Depot for. And this might sound funny, but they have some of the CUTEST birthday cards! I also love when they have the baby chicks and ducks in the store. I don't need one. I'm not buying one. But am I stopping to look at them every single time? Absolutely. One thing I would tell people to pay attention to is how some of their promotions work. I've encountered offers where buying a certain amount qualifies you for a $5 gift card, but the way it rings up can be confusing. The first time it happened, I remember thinking, "Wait... just take the $5 off!" So definitely read the promotion and look at your receipt so you understand exactly how the deal is being applied. Overall, Tractor Supply is convenient, has a great variety of products, and is still my go-to for dog and cat food. I just wish they were a little more competitive on the bird and wildlife feeding side, especially for those of us feeding our backyard visitors every day. If you've never stopped into Tractor Supply because you assumed it was only for farms or livestock, it's definitely worth walking around one. You might be surprised by how much they actually carry. And apparently, if you start feeding squirrels like I did, just know you've basically added another set of mouths to the household.

This bag was full of useless powdery ground up pellets throughout the entire bag's column. Emailed them a message on their site about it, no reply after over a week. I guess they dont care if much of your feed has useless powder that the animal will not eat. besides, they got their money already. Next time I will order the SAME feed/brand from the Company that starts with an "A", as they deliver with no extra charge. I figured I would patronize a local fed store, even with the $10 or so shipping. No more. Tractor, you lost a customer because of your short sighted business model of not answering to customer's concerns. PS: Yelp does not allow me to correct the address of Tractor supply. It was the one on new Port Richey, not Tampa. although, if they use the same business model of ignoring customer feedback/complaints, what does it matter(?). Theyre all the same.
