This place was so disappointing. Pictures look nice and a bit retro but once we arrived I realized 2 stars was way too many. Do everything you can to avoid. For $185 a night spend your money anywhere else.

I understand old, but no paint, cracks on floor and walls, green mold, no plates or cutlery and dusty? Disgusting.

Booked a stay for a night way with my 8 year old daughter after a concert. Was welcomed to our first room which was in a completely different building around the block..... Got inside the room, hair all through out the bathroom, floors were full of dirt and debris, dirt towels in the bathroom, Used soap on the bathroom sink. Brought this to the attention to the office and they did place us in another room. Which upon looking it over with the manager found poop particals in the toilet, dirty microwave, same condition of the floors and body hairs all through out the bathroom. The sheets did look and smell clean along with the towels in the second room. Bigger issue once we returned we headed to bed and woke up to the heat Stuck on at 1am and our room over 90*, contacted the office and the worker showed up 20 minutes later not know how to fix the heater off so I informed him the window wasn't operating due to being screwed shut and being plexi glass, he then tried to open it again it came off the frame and he tilted it at a angle and said that's better and left the room. 3am comes around and the window came crashing to the floor, leaving the window area completely open, not to mention my daughter was completely distraught from the whole situation and didn't sleep the rest of the night, we were travel 3 hrs from home so leaving wasn't really a option at this point. I stayed up the rest of the night making sure no one or nothing came through the open window. Next morning we left I did request a refund for the horrible experience and night this accommodation was and one of the workers Chris called me back was the only pleasant person I came in contact with this whole time and he issued what I paid for the stay back to my card. PLEASE DONT MAKE THE MISTAKE I DID! Pay the extra and find a stay in one of the clean, reputable, safe hotel around the area!

    Bathroom

Absolutely disgusting. The slats in the blinds were missing. The walls were all scuffed and dingy. Holes in the towels. No fitted sheet on the bed. Watered down soap in the bathroom. Overpriced for what you get.

Something between an Airbnb and a hostel with private rooms, this European style guest house is an affordable way to see Boston. There are single, double and 3 & 4 room suites, some with kitchenettes. The bedrooms and bathrooms are clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. Clean towels are provided. Wi-fi and parking are free. I stayed in a private room with a shared bathroom during November. The room was warm and a short walk to the Allston neighborhood eats. Refuge cafe is a good place to find coffee. If you stay here, you have to try Regina's - one of the oldest pizza joints in Boston! For $45/night, the place is totally worth it! I will definitely be back!

I got this hotel because I was going to see a concert close by and I'm glad I found this hotel. Upon entering a beautiful and nice welcome by Roger, who was funny, had all the best recommendations and broke all the details down about the hotel. The entrance area (waiting area) was so cozy and beautiful. They had an assortment of fashionable chairs, a beautiful fireplace and this place was so colorful which I enjoyed, very brought. The breakfast was delicious a good assortment of everything. And a huge area to eat downstairs or go up to your room and enjoy. Now when you head up there's so much artwork everywhere, I love this. The room was so cozy and big, the bathroom was HUGE! I got a suite, so it had a kitchen, a room with a pull out couch and a pretty nice sized bedroom and a huge bathroom like I said. Upon entering we had a street view which I enjoyed and realized this place was so well put together. The vibes were just perfect. The bed was super comfy. I literally had no complaints at all. I've never stayed at a hotel in MA that has shopping plazas and markets right near by, walking distance this is so convenient. I would for SURE stay here again. The employees all were very kind, didn't matter what shift they all were attentive and kind. Great job, I loved it.

And why would management chose to bump a loyal elite status member?? Even more puzzling. But now I'm stuck with no hotel and anything close is sold out so I will incur incremental costs for last minute bookings AND Uber fares to boot. BAD BUSINESS, Residence Inn management. I will happily hand my money, and more of it, over to a Hilton.

It is close to Fenway Park and we were able to walk there and back. This would be a good location if that was your destination. Parking is $70 extra per night which I find excessive but maybe that's the going rate in Boston. We had a king room on the 7th floor. There's a kitchenette equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, cooktop and a nice area to eat. It had a sofa and a small flat screen tv that you can adjust on a mount. The layout was good for our needs. The issue was housekeeping. At first glance there were some crumbs in the kitchen and a few hairs in the tub , and dirty kitchen items. Later we discovered dirty sheets. We requested our entire bedding be changed the next morning and the rest of the room be serviced as well. We came back to the room and the bed was changed but none of the room was cleaned so we headed back down again to request cleaning. We were told it would be cleaned the next day. The staff were apologetic and we didn't have any issues with them. Breakfast is served downstairs and the gentleman was overseeing the area for cleanliness and refills. He did a great job. Breakfast was basic but good. We are quite disappointed with the lack of cleanliness so for that reason we won't stay here again.

My…read moreson was having surgery at Boston Children's so we decided to stay at the Resident Inn Boston Back Bay/Fenway because it was within walking distance to the hospital (so we could avoid the valet fee the nights he was hospitalized). We booked 12 nights because his surgeon told us he could be hospitalized up to 10 days but we knew he could be discharged early. During check-in, I asked Mo if my son was discharged early if there would be any issues and he assured me that if we told them as soon as we knew that there wouldn't be any issues. I gave the manager on shift almost 2 days notice that we were going to be checking out early. The morning we checked out the front desk attendant told me we would be charged an early check-out fee because we didn't give them 24 hours notice. After I told her I spoke with the manager 2 days prior she told me she would have to "talk with the team" before doing anything and we would get our bill via email. The next morning I received our bill and they charged us for the night after we checked out. I called the hotel and left 4 messages with the accounting manager (I never received a call back) and tried for 9 days straight (to include filing multiple claims with Marriott Corporate) and they refused to refund me for the extra night and valet for the night. Their justification was that my car was parked in their garage that night (they must have a way to manipulate the valet time stamp) so they could not refund me for the night because that means we were at the hotel. I emailed both the manager and Marriott corporate my EZPass receipts (to prove we had left Boston the day we checked out) and they have yet to resolve this case. It has been well over 2 weeks and we have never received a phone call or email response from them. Save yourself a terrible customer service experience and choose another hotel! I would've never expected this from a Marriott.
