Based on the reviews, we drove about an hour to get there waited another hour and a half to get in because they only have about eight or nine tables. I will say the staff was very friendly and the restaurant was clean, but as far as the meals were concerned, they were less than the reviews were saying they were. We had a couple of different dishes that were just regular normal dishes and they just didn't have the right taste or I will give you an example the turkey dinner I had had instant potatoes and a stuffing that taste like it was from a box and for that price it just really didn't sit well with me as far as what we were getting to what we were paying for so I'm sorry to give a bad review and I don't usually do that, but I just felt that I really need to improve their food qualityand if they are a true farmers table, they need to have more authentic meals that don't have instant products in them and taste as you would expect from a great area of Maine. I will say that we found very few eateries in this area Maine so I'm sure they'll continue to do well as far as business is concerned, but if you're going to make a long hour or so trip from one part of Maine to another, you may want to rethink your movement and I wish I could tell you there are other places that are better in the area, but they're not read more

Turns out they sell ice creams here, including at an outside window. We were going to watch a live concert in the gazebo across the road, and it was a warm night so stopped here first. I had soft serve in a cone, but she offered a dish and spoon as it was a bit melty. She added a little more soft serve to that dish as my cone was smaller than usual. Our first time eating here and it was amazing! I had a buffalo chicken wrap and my husband had a burger and both were fantastic! We also split an order of poutine which was amazing as well. After two weeks in downeast Maine, we packed up and headed home on a 325 mile, six hour drive. After a diversion to pickup some incredible cider donuts at Treworgy's in Levant, we GPS'd our way through a myriad of backroads trying to reconnect with Route 95 South. Just about when we figured we were in for desperation fast food, we discovered The Farmer's Table - replete with a parking lot full of in-state license plates, What could we lose? Apparently, nothing. Warm, cozy atmosphere, tables full of happy, well fed mid-afternoon diners, fast, efficient wait staff, a menu perfect for our needs - all good. The French onion and beef/veggie soups were delicious, the grilled cheese grilled to perfection, and the two slices of raspberry pie that we took home worked their magic. This spot is about 10 minutes off the highway from Newport, ME and well worth the time - certainly no effort. It's not inexpensive, but considering the taste, quality, friendly atmosphere, and more ...we'll be back. read more

Was there for lunch with family. While waiting for our order I observed a man in the kitchen cooking something on the stove top. He had a big spoon he would stir it with & a smaller spoon he would put in the pot to try it. Numerous times he would take the small spoon that he put in his mouth back in the pot to try it again. On this cool, overcast July day we decided to drive down to Corrina for lunch. What a great surprise. Our server was Ash (Ashley?) and did a commendable job. The food was delicious. My Deep fried Maine whole clam bellies, which are in limited supply, were a great treat. Lou had a giant platter of mashed potatoes, dressing, fresh turkey with gravy, and a side of pickled beets. I had pancakes and corned beef hash while my fiancé had toast, eggs, bacon, pancakes and his choice of grilled or deep fried home fries. We enjoyed our meals and nothing really stood out as outstanding other than the service, which was warm and friendly on a very cold Maine day. Poor service and subpar food. Arrived for lunch and after finally being greeted, asked for a table for 2. We were then silently handed a piece of wooden corn with a number on it while the hostess walked away. After eventually being seated and served, the food was underwhelming. The 4 piece fried chicken included 2 small pieces of dry chicken and 2 fried bones. The fries that came with it were slightly soggy and bland. The open faced turkey sandwich that was ordered was okay and as expected. The baked potato it was served with was undercooked and had inedible skin, while the stuffing was boxed and oversalted. The vegetables that came with both meals were previously frozen and then poorly steamed. The rolls listed on the menu were missing from both meals; when asked about, the waitress asked if we'd still like them. The waitress then forgot the rolls until we had finished our meals and when dropping off the check, asked if we still wanted them. My daughter wanted light, was going to order chicken tenders. 6 for 13.50, ( what are they thinking. 2 or 3 kids and that becomes very costly.) but the chicken tender dinner with potato and veggie, 14.99!! ( my daughter ordered the dinner, tenders were close to burnt) thought cost was a typo. NOPE owner tells me that the cost of 13.50 is so families can afford to go out to dinner. Either these folks are living in la la land and just not aware of inflation or that they are not located in Portland! Most Mainers, esp families with young ones, can't afford those prices. The only redeeming item was the onion rings. Wonderfully crisp, light, tasty. I think the restaurant got such high star ratings because there really isn't much of a choice in that area.
