    Steak something was terrible
    Kevin P.

Based on the reviews, we drove about an hour to get there waited another hour and a half to get in because they only have about eight or nine tables. I will say the staff was very friendly and the restaurant was clean, but as far as the meals were concerned, they were less than the reviews were saying they were. We had a couple of different dishes that were just regular normal dishes and they just didn't have the right taste or I will give you an example the turkey dinner I had had instant potatoes and a stuffing that taste like it was from a box and for that price it just really didn't sit well with me as far as what we were getting to what we were paying for so I'm sorry to give a bad review and I don't usually do that, but I just felt that I really need to improve their food qualityand if they are a true farmers table, they need to have more authentic meals that don't have instant products in them and taste as you would expect from a great area of Maine. I will say that we found very few eateries in this area Maine so I'm sure they'll continue to do well as far as business is concerned, but if you're going to make a long hour or so trip from one part of Maine to another, you may want to rethink your movement and I wish I could tell you there are other places that are better in the area, but they're not

    Super nice staff.

Great service from really nice folks. As others have said the food was like home cooking you got at your Grandma's house growing up.

Turns out they sell ice creams here, including at an outside window. We were going to watch a live concert in the gazebo across the road, and it was a warm night so stopped here first. I had soft serve in a cone, but she offered a dish and spoon as it was a bit melty. She added a little more soft serve to that dish as my cone was smaller than usual. I appreciated the extra touch.

Our first time eating here and it was amazing! I had a buffalo chicken wrap and my husband had a burger and both were fantastic! We also split an order of poutine which was amazing as well. Several other patrons were ordering breakfast when we arrived and their meals looked great too. An added benefit - it's accessible by snowmobile!

On this cool, overcast July day we decided to drive down to Corrina for lunch. What a great surprise. Our server was Ash (Ashley?) and did a commendable job. The food was delicious. My Deep fried Maine whole clam bellies, which are in limited supply, were a great treat. Lou had a giant platter of mashed potatoes, dressing, fresh turkey with gravy, and a side of pickled beets. Great service by Ash, and for dessert we all had chocolate cream pie. Fantastic!! See photos.

Turns out it is even better than I thought, because I really tested it this time. Anglers describes itself as a seafood place, and indeed they make the best fried scallops I have tried anywhere around here. I usually pair them with clams or oysters for a seafood combo for that reason. But I went in a different direction this time. Partly, I admit, due to the current market pricing, as the current cost is breathtaking, but also because it occurred to me that a kitchen that can provide the very best of a particular dish probably does well at other choices. So I went with the linguine veggie scampi. Then it came down to what type of potato I wanted for my one side dish, so I up-charged my way to sweet potato fries, which were good as always. My wife went with the dependable fish and chips and made sure she included their garlic-smashed potatoes as a side. And what can I say, my veggie scampi was delicious! It came with a pointy French baguette sort of thing and was quite a healthy-sized portion. I must confess that I don't remember exactly what our dinner companion had, but it involved scallops and lemon and she really liked it. Rosie was our server so we received efficient and fun service. Normally you pay on the way out, but this was just before the dinner rush, so she offered to handle the transaction at the table. So, to sum up, a great meal, slightly less expensive than usual, and we all defrayed the cost of the evening by bringing home a second meal.

Yet indeed, I have no revelations or big reveals after revisiting this popular local haunt. The ice cream is still very good and the window service polite and capable. We also recently decided on a rare sit down meal here. We fancied some seafood for a change of pace and rather than driving a dozen or more miles away to frequent our favorite seafood restaurant, we opted to eat locally. And besides, we had tried Lakeshore's clams and scallops when we first moved here and liked them. So one of us ordered the scallop platter and the other clams (full-bellied of course). The servings were slightly smaller than at our favorite place, but also a bit less expensive, so it is a choice whether you would rather take some home for a second meal or save a few dollars in the short term. As we remembered, the food was good, so no complaints. If I push the issue, I have to say the meal didn't quite live up to the other restaurant, but that is why we have fave places, isn't it? It is only logical to occasionally test to see if others are ready to take over top spot! But there have a varied menu. And as a side note, the town of Dexter has implemented a remarkable renewal and improvement project of the neighboring beach and facilities, including building a new covered dining and activity area, which can be reserved or used more spur of the moment as available. There is a fair bit of parking , though very busy with locals and nearby camp visitors, and there are public restrooms just behind the restaurant.

Our most recent visit was as usual a positive experience. It was our traditional late spring breakfast to welcome a friend after her drive north for her summer residence here. Part of the tradition is a cup of hot cocoa because, even though the weather was quite warm when she arrived, the first time we did this it was her a late-winter transition north. This time we were so impressed by the new and larger specialty coffee/cocoa mugs that I took a picture of it. Typical Yelper, I know! Related to that, I have also added the drinks portion of the menu, which I had missed when I added menu pictures. The service and the food good, as usual. I went with the breakfast sandwich and home fries special. I pay a small up charge to have it in one of their large biscuits. It comes with home fries and so is one of the lowest priced meals available here, though I added a side of corned beef hash because I knew I would be bringing some home anyway. Their hash could be from a can for all I know, but I really like the way they grill it and wish I could replicate it at home. I suspect it is the absurdly hot temperature the grill reaches. My wife wasn't able to eat much of her meal of burrito and home fries, but her appetite and taste buds have undergone a transformation over the past several months, so this is situation normal. She ordered a rhubarb muffin to complement her meal and her leftovers joined mine in the takeout container we brought with us. The muffin was fine, though the rhubarb seemed a bit sparse. This from rhubarb lovers, mind you. Our newly arrived friend enjoyed her egg white veggie omelette just fine.
