First what was good. We went during Lent and the buffet had fried chicken, fried and baked fish and fried shrimp as well as waffle fries and all of those were quite good and were kept hot. Also soft drinks are free with the buffet. Oon the downside though the salad was basically iceberg lettuce and all the vegetables seem to be industrial canned green beans and corn floating in butter sauce. The desserts were pretty good. The place itself is very shabby --one front door is not working right, the lighting is rather dim, and it looks like nothing has been done with the decor and at least 1/4 century.As some others have noted, they play music the whole time and they mix in Christian music. The proprietor is very upfront about hosting events for very conservative Christian groups such as those who go to the Ark Encounter so I would say if you're not Christian you might not want to bring your group here because you will be hearing Christian music and possibly him quoting some Bible verses. You can get carryout, and if you want fried chicken, roast beef and other standard meat offerings that might be a better way to go these days. read more

Ill admit I dont want to tell you about this place up front. I dont want to give this review , because I dont want to give this secret away to the masses . But I enjoyed this buffet so much , I could'nt keep my mouth shut. (It's been a best kept secret!!!) Banquet style buffet , in a formal venue of a private wedding reception hall and gathering area. Hands down some of the best fried chicken you will ever eat , hot , crunchy , fresh , juicy chicken , mmm good !!! The tuesday dinner I enjoyed had roast beef , country ham , mashed potatoes , various vegetables salad , and a dessert table. My granddaughter lost her wedding venue six weeks before the wedding! The Farm came to her rescue. The owner could not have been more helpful in arranging the plans. The food was amazing and the pricing was reasonable. Plenty of parking for guests. Friendly and wonderful staff. It is open to the public when no events are taking place. It's been about 4 hours since I left The Farm and my stomach is still happy and full. Dinner for 2 for about $30 and no tipping. I am glad that we checked it out. I agree with another review here that the sauer kraut and sausage weren't so good. All other selections were good.Beef stew, Fried chicken, Ham, Roast beef. On Thursday's it's Pasta and ribs. It's a friendly place. Family friendly. Friend friendly. It was peaceful and it felt like mom was in the kitchen cooking.Alcohol is available. No slot machines and lights to distract you. It's clean. If you like buffet style dining The Farm would have to rate right up there with one of the best certainly the best in the Cincinnati area. The Farm beats all of the casino buffets in Ohio and Indiana and is less expensive than the casino buffets too. No one could possible leave this place hungry and everything I have ever eaten at the farm has been tasty. If you have never tried it I would recommend a family outing on some Tuesday or Thursday evening. It is a really good place for a family birthday or special occasion celebration where everyone will find something they will like and the price is reasonable for the quality of the food. read more

Tuesday buffet review here. While the staff was extremely nice, the food was extremely dull and limited. With $15 for adults (seniors $14) and the amount of people there for the buffet, one would think they'd have more selection. I will concede that all the food was fresh and hot. However, I don't think I'd recommend it nor take a guest to The Farm. There are better buffets in Cincinnati. read more

Choosing to have our wedding ceremony and reception at The Farm was the best choice that we made. I looked around the Cincinnati area and The Farm was the best value I could find so when we wanted to get more info about it they invited us out to their Tuesday or Thursday dinner buffet complimentary. Dan sat down with us and went over all of the info and showed us around and was so informative and helpful. We chose our date and booked almost immediately. We knew we were not going to find a nicer facility with any nicer people at such a great value!! Throughout the planning process they were so helpful in answering my questions, allowing us to come over and measure things for decorations on multiple occasions, and they had us out for another complimentary dinner to go over some last minute details. They allowed us to rent out part of their second party room since we were expecting 250 guests and offered to open up the second buffet line too for a very reasonable price. They also tried to keep our main room open the night before the wedding so that we could come in and decorate, which enabled us to come in at noon on Friday and decorate all afternoon to get it looking just how I had dreamed. They had an event that night in the other room so they set up the remainder of our centerpieces in the other room and fixed some things that had fallen for us on the day of the wedding which was so helpful. Dan and Donna specifically went out of their way to help make our day perfect and it definitely was. Everything ran so smoothly and we had no issues whatsoever. They turned the coat room into a getting ready area for my bridal party and I and they even had a backdrop in there which allowed us to take some nice pics with family and friends prior to the wedding starting. For the wedding ceremony they had a beautiful archway that we got to use free of charge and a curtain backdrop to cover up the DJ that made for some great pics. The food was so delicious!! We have had people raving about how great the food was, how beautiful the place was and how nice the people were. Our package price included all of the people working including the bar tenders, greeters, food servers, etc., the food, draft beer, 2 bottles of champagne for the bridal party toast and the room. We did an open bar and they just kept a tab that we paid for at the end of the night. If you are looking for a great place to have your wedding reception or any kind of big event that has great food and friendly people for a good price then look no further!!! I've been to countless special occasions at this place, it has a lot of good memories. The food is good, but I do have to agree it's really "dark" and "drab" inside. It could use a bit of remodeling. I like the farm! its not meant to be fancy smancy. You want that type of food for much higher price go downtown. This used to be a dairy farm and the building still retains some of the original barn structure I believe. It is a nice staple for the west side and the food was intended to be good home type cooking. The chicken is very good, as are the mashed potatoes I have no problem recommending this to people, good for a family, and retired people . We have never had anything bad here. read more

5-3-2015. My father passed and had donated his body to science, which there was no reason for a funeral home to be involved. We wanted to have a private service, then a Celebration of his wonderful life. Called several places and The Farm was so willing to accommodate our plans for our private service and then the Celebration of his life. Hard to truly guess how many may attend but it didn't matter. You give them an estimate and they will monitor as it proceeds as to whether more food needs to be added to the buffet line as guests arrived. They have a minimum, but was easily reached and we were charged per person which was reasonable. They have a bar which serves your soft drinks but you can have an open bar and pay by the drink. Dan was very helpful and very easy to work with. The buffet was supposed to be open for an hour and a half, but as more people arrived a little later he kept the buffet open for an extra hour just so they could eat . After it appeared everyone had gone through the buffet he announced it will be open 10 more minutes if you would like to get more. The food was delicious (especially fried chicken) and there were a lot of options to fill your plate. As the afternoon came to a close he didn't push to get us out of there. The staff was very kind and helped out with whatever we needed. Talked to Dan 2 days before the event as he wanted to make sure we had what we needed and we did have a few unusual requests. The Farm was the perfect choice for our celebration. The choices were easy and allowed us to grieve our loss, instead of having to do all the planning. Thank you to Dan and his staff. read more
