Solid lunch spot!! Decent flavor, and a few minor suggestions. I ordered the Classic Box Lunch - Turkey Bacon Jack, which comes with oven-roasted turkey breast, bacon, pepper jack cheese, roasted red peppers, lettuce, and chipotle mayo on honey wheat bread. I swapped the bread for sourdough, but it didn't have much of that signature sourdough tang. My sandwich was also cut from the end of the loaf, so the tapering meant I got a bit less bread. Flavor-wise, the chipotle mayo carried the sandwich. The bacon was of the pre-cooked, ready-to-eat variety--like what you'd find from Oscar Mayer or Kirkland. Not bad, but a little underwhelming since I was expecting freshly cooked based on a coworker's hype. The bacon was also clumped in the center, which was surprising considering the care they put into packaging. Would've been better evenly distributed for balanced bites. Packaging was excellent. Everything comes beautifully packed and cleanly presented--puts places like Subway to shame. Toppings come a la carte, so you can build the flavor profile to your liking. Even came with utensils, which you don't always get for other places. Making you have to walk back in to get them. The box also included: Carrot slices - Fresh and sweet, a nice surprise. Ranch dip - A bit green in color (maybe herbs?), but didn't taste off. Chocolate chip cookie - Soft, not dry, and packed with big chunks of chocolate. Very good. For $11.99, I felt the value was decent, especially with the sides and thoughtful packaging (heavy-duty box and thick plastic bags for the carrots and pickle so they don't spill). Just be aware that extras will cost extra--those add-ons can creep up if you're not paying attention. Ordering online was easy, and they offer a rewards program for repeat customers. The shop itself has a nice atmosphere--clean, welcoming, and good for a quick lunch. Just remember to bring your own drink, as beverages aren't included. Bottom line: A great place for a well-packaged, satisfying lunch. With a few tweaks to ingredient prep, it could easily be a 5-star spot. read more

My department ordered lunch from here a couple weeks ago. I called to order for delivery and had great communication with Valentine(sp?), while placing our order. Matt is who delivered, and called as requested upon arrival so we could meet him to get our meal. There were five of us total, everyone seemed to enjoy their meals and the couple of people who got the sandwich and half salad combo said it was more food than they could manage in a single meal. I ordered the mandarin chicken salad. It had plenty of toppings on it and great flavor. The dressing complimented the flavors perfectly. I love their cinnamon honey butter!! We have been using Apple Spice Junction to cater a monthly meeting for years. The order has been for as few as 8 to as much as 70, and it varies greatly by month/year. We always order about 3 different Executive Box Lunch combinations. The most popular items are usually the classic trio or the chipotle chicken. Common feedback on our post meeting evaluations is that the food is delicious. We've been getting more requests for gluten free items and I am happy to say that you can barely notice the difference in their gluten free cookies. If you are a bread lover, the bread is always the highlight of the sandwich. It tastes what it is: fresh and homemade. I love their potato salad, even though it has the evil that is celery in it. They also have a frogs eye salad, which I never heard of, and still quite determine what it is (tapioca and pineapple and cream?), and I love it anyway. It is my favorite of their side salads. In fact, when our meetings were on pause during the height of the pandemic, I tried looking up how to make it and gave up. I digress. Their other treasure? That cheesecake. Creamy, soft, decadent - the perfect cheesecake. It's what cheesecake dreams are made of. And just enough of a serving where you felt good about what you ate, especially considering how much they pack into the lunch boxes (everyone leaves full and some save the chips for later bc they get so full). Today, they get a special shout-out though. They are so punctual that when I realized they were 15min out of their window, I knew something was wrong. I ordered the food for the wrong day and they STILL came to my rescue. They kindly delivered 20 lunches within an hour with no complaints. Apple Spice catered an appreciation and awards luncheon I attended. Their staff kept the warming dished full, even with a croud of over 300 people. The food was all appropriate temperatures. Salad was fresh. Two dressing options were available. Salad was mostly lettuce. Chicken breast was lightly seasoned. I think this was because BBQ sauce was supplied on the side. Green beans and mashed potatoes with gravy (also on the side,) were also available. Rolls were soft, and seemed fresh baked. Apple butter and regular butter were available. The best part was the cookies. Firm around the edges, and soft in the middle. My favorite was the apple caramel cookies. They load them with bits of apple, caramels and cinnamon. It was like a bite of Fall. They also supplied large chocolate chip cookies, and white chocolate chip cookies. This may seem like a silly thing to mention, but I liked their napkins. Many catered events supply small cocktail napkins. Apple Spice provides large dinner napkins. Company logos are printed on the the napkins. As an attendee, this let me know who catered, and who was responsible for the delicious cookies. Apple Spice has a full catering menu. THIS WAS AN AWESOME FOOD DISCOVERY One word: LOVE. This place has my heart. [Tl;DR]: If you want good quality and portion sized sandwiches for a value this is your place! You should take the time to drop by this place for lunch or reach out to them to cater your next event. They get 5 stars for their food, cleanliness and service! Typically, my work group tends to order Panera almost for every meeting. After a while even something that's good will become a bore and you'll want to try something new. There was one day I passed a room which contained a table with a nice assortment of salads, boxed lunches and fruit salad and I noticed it said Apple Junction (I swear I am not a stalker, I just get distracted by food haha). Since it was my lunch break time, I decided to go to this place and was pleasantly surprised to find that not only do they cater, but that they also have tables for you as well as a group to sit and enjoy your lunch at the restaurant. I cannot say as an introvert how ECSTATIC I was that this place was not overcrowded and filled with fellow co-workers that would want to strike up a conversation with me. In addition to the fabulous food, this place provided much needed quiet time for me (this was around 11:30 AM, take note introverts ) The food is enjoyable and they transform simple sandwiches into an amazing tasty desirable meal. I have tried the Thai curry chicken sandwich, Turkey Avocado, Chicken Caesar Wrap, Cashew Chicken Sandwich and Strawberry Grilled Chicken. The sides I've tried were the vegetables, potato chips and fruit salad. Each sandwich contained fresh ingredients, an abundant amount of flavor and were packed full of ingredients (chicken chucks in the chicken salad were pouring out of the sandwich). The size of the sandwich is a good value for the price and the bread was delicious. I recommend trying any of the sandwiches I mentioned above. To top off your experience, they either will provide you with a cookie or cheesecake (Deluxe and Executive, respectively) depending what type of box lunch you order and give you an Andes Mint. What a hidden gem! My colleague had their menu sitting out and I was intrigued. So many options and combinations. I wanted in. I was shocked this place is in an office complex but I'm so glad we found it. I ordered the potato soup and a chicken sandwich which also came with a really good cookie and a drink. We had a variety of the boxed lunches delivered from Apple Spice Junction for our office team. They were wonderful and delivered on time! Each (very sturdy) box was packed with a delicious sandwich on a variety of breads, all the condiments you could possibly want including a "special" sauce made just for your sandwich type, a wonderful pickle in a plastic bag, kettle chips, and a side of potato salad, pasta salad, fruit, etc. They were topped of with a delicious cookie and Andes Mint. This is hands down my FAVORITES place to cater from. We've eaten food from here for various events at work and the food is delicious. They make simple sandwiches taste amazing and fill the catered boxes with everything you'd want and more. From veggies with an amazing Signature dip, to chips and potato salad, and a cookie, to finishing off with an Andes mint, this box has a ton of food and flavor. You can even get a dessert like cheesecake in your box. Just depends on what you want to include. The green ASJ sauce is my favorite and I end up putting it on everything, not just my veggies, like my sandwich and chips. Let me tell you - deli sandwiches and chips get really old real quick.... Last week, however, my work lunches were forever changed. Enter: Apple Spice. Delicious and flavorful wraps and salads awaited us in our conference room. Packed neatly in a cute cardboard box, I discovered my new favorite lunch item. The Southwestern Chicken wrap- flled with grilled chicken, tomatoes, lettuce, tortilla chips, corn and black beans with an avocado ranch (I think?). I'm not exaggerated either. I've had Apple Spice Junction a few times over the past few years. I ate in once and had it catered all other times. Their catering is great. I think their box lunches and salads are the best. Delicious homemade bread. We had hot food catered one time, and it was pretty good but not great, although they did a great job getting it all set up and provided everything you would need. I can only speak to the lunch I ate today, but it was terrible. It was supposed to be a taco salad, but it was basically: -A small amount of somewhat rancid lettuce -two baby carrots and two slices of cucumber -sour cream and salsa -green-colored sour cream thing that was nothing like guacamole -two olives -some VERY stale corn chips -a cup of chili Most of it was basically inedible. While I have never experienced their catering, my wife and I have dined here several times. Their chicken tortilla soup is amazing and they have a turkey and cranberry sandwich, which is hard to find. The food is excellent and the staff very helpful. Only downside is that it's a bit pricey. We had an experience today that I want all Yelpers to know about. Customer service at its best! After receiving our boxed lunches, one of our group was concerned that the ASJ Ranch Dip might contain sesame ingredients, to which she is highly allergic. We called them and they answered the question with sincere effort, including examining ingredient lists and even making off-site calls to suppliers to ensure sesame was not included in the mix of spices in the dip. I've ordered Apple Spice Junction for the LAST time. Though the food is delicious, in the years that I've ordered from this restaurant the service has declined. It's truly disappointing. The website errors, the delivery time discrepancies and the way the staff speaks to you when you call or they call you is just ridiculous. I like eating good food but as a customer I should never be made to feel like a victim just for the food. I attended an event today at UC's College of Medicine. Apple Spice Junction provided box lunches for attendees. Mine was so good I came home to look up the business. A variety of box lunches provided. I had an egg salad sandwich prepared on very fresh white bread, and the sandwich included some avocado slices and a piece of cheese. The amount of egg salad was generous and VERY tasty. Also in the box: a dill pickle spear, kettle chips, and cookie. We had lunch delivered to work yesterday - I echo the previous reviewers - the lunch was not that good - and they forgot one of our orders, so we had one person without lunch. I will say the little baggie of vegetables and the green dip that comes with them were good, but the lunch itself wasn't. I had the BLT Supreme and the bacon was soggy, and the sandwich as a whole had an strange flavor. The potato salad was ok, seemed like some cooked red potato slices with salad dressing on them and a very strong dill flavor.
