I don't have access to social media, so I ended up finding Brooke through Yelp and I am SO happy I did! I reached out to her by text and she responded almost immediately. Before my appointment, I sent her a photo of my current hair along with a few inspiration pictures of what I was hoping to achieve. Right from the beginning, communication was easy and I felt like she understood what I was looking for. The salon itself is adorable clean, welcoming, and has a really cute modern feel. When I met Brooke, she took the time to actually look at my hair and talk with me about my goals. One of the most important things to me is keeping my hair healthy because I'm trying to grow it long which has taken some time. She was very upfront that getting exactly where I ultimately want to be would be a process, and I REALLY appreciated that instead of trying to do too much in one appointment. I was hoping for a positive experience at Salon MK with Giselle Q, but I left very disappointed…read more The photos clearly speak for themselves but here's what happened-- When I first reached out to Salon MK in June, I was connected with Giselle and specifically requested a light brown, neutral balayage. We booked a balayage ($280) and a haircut ($85). I sent photos of my hair and several reference photos. During the appointment, she explained that balayage is essentially highlights, which made me a bit nervous, as I understand it to be more of a blended, ombré-style look. Still, I trusted her professional judgment. Unfortunately, the final result looked nothing like my reference photos..... The highlights leaned much more yellow and brown rather than the neutral tones I had requested, and they were also uneven, with some highlight sections noticeably thicker than others. The haircut itself was uneven, and the top layers were longer than the bottom section. She offered to fix it, which I appreciated, but by that point I already felt uneasy. I decided to give her a second chance since she was willing to fix the uneven haircut, so I went back in October for an all-over color before an important work event. I was very clear and specific about what I wanted and provided several reference photos beforehand- a dark, natural brown with subtle purple/reddish undertones. I explicitly asked to avoid black, copper, blonde, vivid red or purple tones, and NO highlights. We discussed this thoroughly, and I even said that if there was any hesitation, I'd prefer to play it safe with a darker brown balayage instead. Giselle reassured me she could achieve the color....... Unfortunately, the result was again nothing close to what I requested. My hair turned out coppery brown/red and still showed highlights, which I had specifically asked to avoid. I felt embarrassed going to my event with it. When I reached out the next day with photos, I was told that the custom conditioner I purchased should temporarily fix the issue. This was frustrating, as a conditioner with very minimal pigmentation shouldn't be relied on to correct a $165 color service, especially after I left a 20+% tip out of kindness. Overall, the results did not align at all with what we discussed or the reference photos I provided. My concerns weren't resolved, and I ultimately had to attempt to fix my hair myself before the event. Everyone's experience is different, but I wanted to share mine so others can make the decision that feels right for them and choose a stylist they feel 1000% confident with.

D's Salon is excellent. Robin Scata in absolutely wonderful, and she does a great job every time! I highly recommend Robin. I have been going to her for eight years and she is the best. No matter what color, highlights, or cut you are looking for, Robin definitely takes care of you. She was also awesome when my daughter had a color disaster with another salon. Robin came in on her day off and spent hours correcting the problem. She looked beautiful when Robin was finished with her. Thanks to Robin I was able to send my daughter back to college happy and looking fantastic! Robin takes time with her clients and her rates are very affordable. I never trusted going to salons because I would think they would damage my hair more than it already was. I had gone 6 months with no haircut or color in my hair. Thanks to crystal, she had told me what products to use in my hair so that when she did the process of going lighter on my hair, it wouldn't mess my hair up more than it already is. I went into d's salon about a month ago. I didn't want to write a review till some time had passed and I was able to see the full outcome of my hair. A month later my hair is still easier to manage. The treatment is still lasting and helping the growth of my hair. I got my hair done by the owner I believe Wendi last minuet with no appointment. She was able to squeeze me in for the day. I happened to find crystal on Instagram when I looked up best hair stylist and found her saw her Instagram and looked up D's salon on Yelp and was convinced to come and try them out and I have to say crystal blew me away she did such an amazing job my hair was a mess and she was able to fix and and bring it back to life I just went yesterday for my toner up and still healthy hair she's amazing I definitely recommend her I live in corona and I drive to Temecula to get my hair done by her that's how awesome she is! read more

But I was very happy that I found Vicky for my first time. I had the impression that she was very professional and definitely knew what she was doing. I went to see her twice (one session plus a touch-up 6 weeks later) and am in love with her work. At first I was freaking out a little bit after my first session because my eyebrows looked so bold. But she told me to trust her and that it would eventually lighten up and look more natural. And it did! I am in love love love with my eyebrows! She really cares about her clients. She always kept in contact with me asking how I was healing and answered any questions that I had. Plus she's super friendly and fun to talk to while she was working on you. I would definitely go to her again in the future and recommend her to anyone who is interested in getting their eyebrows microbladed!

The atmosphere is not only warm and welcoming that instantly makes me feel at home. I've had braids, crochet, and wig coloring services done over the years and continue to go back. One time I had 5-6 wigs colored at once, they were completed on time and I STILL use all of the wigs. What sets this studio apart is not just the exceptional skills but also the genuine passion for their work and creating a positive experience for their clients. Plus, knowing that I'm supporting a Black-owned business in the heart of the Temecula/Murrieta area adds an extra layer of satisfaction. 10/10 would absolutely go back!

Unfortunately, I'd recommend doing your research before booking here…read more Six weeks before my wedding and a day before my bridal shower, I booked a blowout and added a trim while there (note: trim was at her suggestion and guarantee she would "slay it"). After washing and straightening my hair at home, I discovered the cut was noticeably choppy and uneven (photos attached). The appointment had started late and became rushed so I initially gave the stylist the benefit of the doubt and assumed it was simply an unfortunate one off. I reached out privately and was very cordial. I asked only for the haircut portion to be refunded, not the blowout or the two products I purchased. I even told her I loved the blowout and had planned to return for another. She apologized and acknowledged the haircut was concerning but repeatedly asked me to return so she could examine and correct it. Because I'm getting married in six weeks and will already need to lose additional length to fix the cut I politely declined and said I was more comfortable having my regular stylist correct it. Instead of refunding the haircut, I was offered three free blowouts. I don't regularly get blowouts, so I politely declined again and reiterated my request for a refund of ONLY the haircut. Unfortunately, what disappointed me most wasn't the mistake itself because mistakes happen. It was how a reasonable request was handled after the fact. I gave multiple opportunities to resolve this privately and fairly and have not been refunded. I'm sharing this because I wish I had done more research beforehand, and others deserve to make an informed decision based on my experience. Additionally, I discovered this kind of behavior is actually common for this specific salon and owner, Lauren. I didn't plan to share this but after learning this is common behavior and bully tactics had been leveraged towards others in the past for speaking up, I didn't feel right not sharing my experience. Update: I was never informed at the time of service my cut was not "finished" since I assume when the cape is removed and I pay, it's done. Please be sure to confirm with your stylist the cut is finished before you pay and leave. I've since considered my haircut charge a donation towards future learning opportunities for the Master stylist at this salon. I also added the text exchange for full transparency since the owner has decided to alter the narrative.
