The Evergreen is a beautiful space with an iconic feel and versatility to serve just about any event you need to plan. The staff are friendly, knowledgable and extremely helpful in the planning process. Whether you're planning a summertime wedding or a winter corporate retreat, The Evergreen should be the first venue you check out.

This is my first time working a show here but I like it so far. They've modernized the space so it doesn't look old and dingy, but it's not so upscale it requires dressing up. The second floor is where the action is, with a mezzanine (great for a VIP area) that has a perfect view of the stage. It's a good size room with a horseshoe bar at one end and the stage at the other. There's also a satellite bar up on the mezzanine so you don't have to go up and down all night. I think it holds around 500 people total (maybe a little more), we had about 450 and it looked packed, but not uncomfortably so. Just what you want for a good show. I'm looking forward to working more events here. It's in a great location, it's a great space, I would even go see a show here myself. *gasp* Edit to add: I believe they are allowed to do all ages shows here, though the one I worked was 21+

    Cheers VIP style!

Hello Kim! There are tons of amazing hotesl in the area. We suggest KEX Portland as it is very close and has lots of different room types. In addition, Jupiter NEXT is also a very close option. The Evergreen is located centrally, so if you… Read more

We loved, and took advantage, of the option to host a happy hour at the Loyal Legion during our wedding.

One caution fir visitors. Our car in the Pittock parking lot was broken into. Nothing to take but expensive to repair the window. There are plenty of warning signs about leaving no valuables. Lots of photos of the family and context to the photos! This was great. Outside was clean and there were ton of labels for all the plants. Flowers and plants full bloom! We did the WildWood Trail to the Witches Castle! It's a nice hike. Wear appropriate shoes and clothes! 2.3-5 miles round trip. It's a big enough path for multiple people but some areas narrow. The climb down is good but man back up lol you will feel the burn. They have restrooms onsite indoor and then they have a bathroom in the mansion basement. Toilets flush loud don't be alarmed. At the bottom of the trail when you cross the street, there was a porta potty. Map as well. Parking is expensive: weekend Saturday it was roughly $24 for all day! There are benches and picnic tables towards the view! Staff are very nice! Gift shop as well with snacks, plants, jewelry, postcards, and all sorts of items.

"Dam Good Whiskey!" -- A Beaver's Review of Westward Distillery…read more Well chew my bark and call me industrious--Westward Distillery has crafted a whiskey so fine it made my tail thump like a drum on spring thaw! I waddled in skeptical. After all, we beavers know a thing or two about craftsmanship: sharp teeth, strong wood, steady paws. But the moment those folks poured me a sample of their American Single Malt, I realized I was in the presence of fellow artisans--humans who build with barley the way I build with birch. The aroma? Like sniffing a warm cedar log at sunset, with a hint of orchard fruit drifting downstream. The taste? Smooth as a freshly planed maple branch, with a delicious grain character that made me contemplate abandoning dam construction to pursue professional sipping full-time. The finish? Long, warm, and rich--lingering like the satisfaction of placing the final stick on a perfectly engineered lodge roof. And don't get me started on the place itself. The distillery is polished, welcoming, and smells pleasantly of oak instead of predators. The staff? Delightful! Not one of them tried to trap me, and they spoke about their whiskey with the passion of creatures who truly love their craft. Westward, my whiskered friends, you have built something remarkable. If I had opposable thumbs, I'd raise a glass. Instead, I'll slap my tail in tribute: THWAP THWAP THWAP! That's beaver for "EXQUISITE WORK, KEEP IT UP."
