I do not know even where to begin! I was so lucky to be recommended to The Event Loft upon getting engaged. My husband and I knew that we wanted to have a short engagement so when I reached out to Adina, she gave us beautiful options to choose from and made us feel very comfortable with leaving details in her hands. Words cannot even begin to to express our gratitude with Adina and her staff. Our wedding day was absolutely flawless!!! WOW. The below response from Adina is downright untrue. It's sad to see a business owner stoop so low. Not once did she try to work with us until we wrote a negative review following a lawsuit threat. She took down her response and since I did not want to associate with the company anymore and did not reply, she continues to drag this on. It's pathetic to see a business unable to apologize but threaten with a lawsuit & continue to respond in a horrible way as none of it is true. Who knows, The Event Loft might be a great place for event planning but I will never know as my main point of contact, Adina, has done nothing more than harass, responded in a very negative manner, falsify & fabricated stories & threaten to sue me for my review. That is enough for me to steer away. Usually updates are because a company has reached out to you to better your experience or you have given them another shot and things were better the second time around. In this case, this is anything but resolving issues. As I was driving today, I received a call from an "UNKNOWN" number. Being caught off guard, it was from Adina Verdult, President of The Event Loft. I soon remembered who she was and to my surprise..she asked me to take my yelp review down as it was ruining her business because of "defamation." I am not the type to exaggerate, lie or falsify any experiences as I fully support local businesses. I told Adina politely I was not going to remove the post as I had every right to document and express my opinion. It was then she got extremely upset, threatened to file a lawsuit against me for defamation. I told her she was not able to sue me as it was my opinion..her comeback.."there is a loophole you are not aware of." I thought it was the end of it but she continued to berate me, claiming she knew where I worked and was going to go there to give me a bad. When I told her I had quit she said, "It doesn't matter, I can easily find out where you work." She proceeded to tell me she hopes I remain unemployed for the next five years because of my attitude. Excuse me..YOU called me to berate me and threaten me all because of my opinion. Adina claimed that I never gave her the chance to meet me but everytime I scheduled to meet with her, she cancelled. She also took the time to look up our wedding asking us why we even bothered to seek her "PROFESSIONAL" (OR LACK THEREOF) assistance if we decided on a restaurant in the end. As she continued to threaten me and yell at me during our nearly 9 minute conversation, I realized there was not a point and hung up. 45 minutes later, I received a call from her "bartender" asking me to remove the post, saying I was ruining his life since he was unable to find another bartending job. Who knows who else she gave our information to. YOUR INFORMATION WILL NEVER BE PRIVATE, IT IS ILLEGAL AS WE SIGNED A CONFIDENTIALITY AGREEMENT, THEREFORE A LAWSUIT COULD POTENTIALLY BE PART OF THEIR FUTURE. It is appalling how unprofessional and rude this company is. NOTHING is their fault, they will twist EVERY situation to make it seem like its your fault. Now I completely understand why they filed bankruptcy from their previous company and opened a new event firm under a different name. I assume all these reviews are from employees and family members who are trying to help them stay afloat in such a competitive market. If anyone needs a great planner, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do your research. There are great planners out there who will make your day worth every penny. This is the first time using The Event Loft's services for planning a company holiday party - best decision! Adina had an entire list of things we could add on to our holiday package, the food menu was endless, she had many great ideas and her suggestions were exactly on point. We were able to stay within our budget and had an AMAZING party. The venue, Gray Matter Museum in Newport Beach, was the perfect spot for our group. Location was close to our office and the space was a great size for our group. We were welcomed by Santa and his sleigh as soon as we walked into the courtyard! Twinkling white lights were strung all around with cute modern furniture. Inside the main area was a live band (lead singer was a contender on American Idol! He was great!) with a bar tender doing tricks while making fun cocktails, wait staff passing around fancy finger foods, and a beautiful charcuterie display by the window! It was all set up with so much thought. We were all very impressed! All of the employees are still raving about how much fun they had and how wonderful the food & staff were. We also all enjoyed the Palm Reader, Ms Brittany, and the fun Puerta Rican dancers!!! For sure coming back to Event Loft whenever we have parties. My fiancé and I went into this with high hopes from the raving reviews about the Event Loft team, but were sadly disappointed. We tried to schedule an initial phone call and it took about 4 or 5 tries to actually speak with someone from their team as they kept rescheduling shortly before the appointment or forgetting that we had a call entirely. During our initial calls, we were very clear about dietary restrictions (due to allergies, not preference) as well as wanting outside vendors (florist, band, and baker). Their initial response assured us that we would be taken care of and it would not be an issue. A few weeks later, we finally received a quote and it was not what was originally discussed. We responded asking why they included all of their vendors and they informed us that we are not allowed to use ANY outside vendors for any reason. We were told "If you are concerned about cross contamination in the kitchen, this is not the venue for you". The venue looked promising, but for those with dietary restrictions or want specific vendors, apparently this is not the venue for you. read more

I recently attended a family friend's wedding put on by The Event Loft and I must say I was completely blown away. I've attended what feels like hundreds of weddings before and this particular wedding stood out in several ways. This wasn't your standard, mundane wedding. The decorations and flowers were so different and eye catching. Every staff member was so courteous and cordial, from the valet driver to the servers and even the bartenders. I felt like a VIP and I was only a guest. I've been to so many weddings and events where I felt ignored or where the staff was rude to my family and I but that was not the case at all at this event. I've never heard of this venue before but it was right on the water. When we pulled up for the ceremony, complimentary valet was waiting for us. There were several hosts that greeted us and directed us to the ceremony location at the top of the stairs. When the ceremony was over we were directed to another spot a few yards away for cocktail hour. There were plenty of servers tray passing food and there were enough bartenders were there weren't any lines for the bar. After cocktail hour we went to the reception site and everything was immaculately set. The floral and tables were all set perfectly we all couldn't believe this was the ceremony spot an hour ago. Everything went very smoothly. The food was hot and came out in a timely fashion and the dj had everyone up on their feet dancing the whole night. I met the team 1 year ago for an event and I was asked to do the hair and makeup for their models. The event turned out amazing! The Ice freezer with a bar inside, and the sushi models were a hit! This post is long overdue - but certainly well deserved. I used Event Loft to help with an important Google party for a major conference at the St. Regis that was produced by MKTG. We stumbled across Event Loft because we loved one of the properties she represented. Initially, we just expected to book the venue through them and source our own team. However, once we met with Adina and realized how amazing she was and how fluently she understood the space, we knew we had to work with her. We are so glad we made that decision. Everything was ABOVE and beyond. In fact, at a certain point, I begged Adina to start telling me "no" - but she always figured out a way to make it work within budget and on schedule. I think it was all the little touches that made it so special ... from the extra candles around the walkways in the gardens and around the pool to the beautiful linens and serving wares and especially the amazing collection of vintage, rustic furniture. Plus, absolutely amazing cheese and fruit displays and the ridiculous candy bar. We had grown men in business suits excitedly waiting to line up to dig into the candy bar - and all taking home their own mason jar filled with treats for their "children" as they claimed ;) I remember going to our first tasting and having my client worry "What if the food isn't as good as the St. Regis?" Well, it was. In fact, it blew their food out of the water truth be told. I still dream about these goat cheese grape pistachio concoctions... And everyone still raves about the party at the Google offices - it felt unpretentious, authentic, and warm - which was exactly what we wanted. Not to mention - Adina's on-site staff was awesome and dealt with all my stressed out demands with kindness and professionalism.I just honestly can't speak highly enough of The Event Loft, and Adina in particular. I worked with The Event Loft on a fundraiser for Kids Konnected, a local non-profit that helps youth with parents affected by cancer. It was a great success and guests loved the space! It was held at the Gray Matter Museum in Costa Mesa. We started with a rooftop reception and then moved downstairs for a seated dinner. Adina and her staff we're friendly and helpful. They gave us an amazing package deal which made the event so much easier to plan only dealing with the one vendor. The space was a little tight for 115 but cozy and festive. All I have to say is a big THANK YOU! to The Event Loft and one of their spaces, The Gray Matter Museum of Art. My husband and I had a quick engagement and The Event Loft was one of the first companies I met with to host the big event. After one meeting I was sold. Adina was out of this world in terms of availability, flexibility in meeting times, and communication. On top of all that, she has one of THEE most important qualities in an event planner...she listens! My wedding was absolutely everything that I asked for, down to the table decor, floral (thanks Meri Wagner!!), and specific alcohol requests. (My husband had to have Sculpin Beer, and Adina made it happen) From the space, to the vibe, to the food, and timing of the event, the night went beautifully. Everyone in attendance, including myself, had a blast without any complaints. The space was fantastic for that unique, not-every-wedding-I've-ever-been-to-before feel, and the mix and mingle atmosphere was precisely what I was going for. If you want to have a modern, non-traditional and just downright cool event, Adina and her team are the people to go to. With their experience and ability, I am sure they tackle traditional events with the same taste, organization, and attention as well, haha. I am an art teacher and artist on the side, so Adina allowed me to hang some of my original pieces in the museum for the event, which was super fun for my guests. Choosing the appetizers for the night was tough as there were too many delicious options, and everything we picked was superb. I can't tell you how many of my guests were in awe of the fancy bar with it's champagne bubbly bar cut directly out of a huge chunk of ice... this was something I did not expect but one of the special surprises the Event Loft provided for my big night. The Event Loft is simply amazing and I would recommend them time and time again! I stumbled upon them when I was searching for a venue for our wedding reception and am so thankful. From the very first email with Adina, I was immediately at ease and felt like she 100% understood my ideas for the big day. This is my first Yelp review. In a business that is as fluid and complicated as wedding planning, I believe it is close to impossible to exceed all that is promised and expected but The Event Loft did just for my niece's wedding. They accomplished that by listening, communicating and being accessible. Our coordinator, Adina, made it happen and was physically on site and actively engaged through the entire evening. The service was smooth, the food the right temperature and good, florals were abundant, DJ was not standard "wedding formula" issue, videographer did a fabulous job. The Event Loft came through for us! Everyone should know this company was up against HUGE odds. Their Principal Planner (our planner) was diagnosed with cancer, and when that happened, one of the venue owners they had 20 (YES TWENTY!) weddings booked there! The venue had broken their exclusive agreement with The Event Loft thinking they wouldn't be able to bring them more business (because of a series of events some of which I described above). The venue started double and triple booking on people's wedding dates - including my wedding date to get more money! Total greed and morally incorrect! The Event Loft had to help move 20 weddings to other venues during the peek of wedding season.....my wedding was in Orange County and trying to find a Saturday in June is near impossible a few weeks from the date. We were able to book at another venue that Adina found for us. We were very worried, and she eased all our stresses (only learning later that she was battling cancer). Not sure how starting from scratch with venues and moving 20 wedding clients all while handling mine would happen. I was more than apprehensive. Yet, they proved to me that not only did they do everything in their power to give us an unforgettable experience, but they were communicative through and through!! We couldn't be more happy, appreciative and thankful for all they did for us and our BIG day! This review is for the team but especially to Adina who was my first contact when trying to find a place for our baby shower. From the beginning, she was one of the sweetest and most patient person to work with! Her patience was honestly what I appreciated the most. That's a lot to say coming from a pregnant, hormonal woman! Due to Covid, we had to reschedule the date twice and then unfortunately the venue cancelled our shower. Adina helped me find an alternate but it just didn't work out so she offered her home for the event! I was skeptical because I had a vision in mind, but it turned out beautiful!!! The decor was amazing and she was able to accommodate my requests to create the vision we had. The shower was full of butterflies and gorgeous peonies which I could not get enough of! There was a hiccup in the food as I had special dietary needs and never received the correct food but other than that, I could not be happier with how everything turned out!! She even gifted us a baby shower present which I thought was so sweet!! Kelly was also so attentive and an amazing asset to the team. My daughter hired Adina (The Event Loft) to plan her wedding, which was at the end of April. Adina's planning process was very collaborative - she was able to be flexible with our budget while being able to include all the elements my daughter envisioned. She also happens to have some of the finest venues in Southern California available to her - the venue we used for the wedding was spectacular, and is exclusively booked through the Event Loft. The day of the wedding, Adina and her staff were on-site preparing for the event tirelessly, all day. They worked seamlessly with the other vendors (flowers, photographers, etc.) to create a wedding that was a dream come true! The food was excellent, the setting was amazing, and the most impressive thing was all the little touches that Adina provides. Adina's staff did a fabulous job - especially the staff that waited on the head table - they went above and beyond! The guests were all amazed at how beautiful the wedding was and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. My daughter is getting married and we were referred by two different friends that each had separate weddings coordinated by the event loft. Both friends raved and raved (and i mean raved) about Adina and TEL. Each of theses families that had Adina coordinate their weddings (to date they have not posted their experiences on this site) could not have given her and her staff a higher review. 10 stars would not be enough. They both had weddings at estate venues in Newport Beach with well over a hundred guests. I had other friends attend those events and they as well were blown away by the attention to detail, the quality and presentation of food and how over the top delicious it was. The beautiful florals and impeccable service and the gracious and capable staff made their weddings beyond beautiful and memorable in every way. Both families that i know that hired Adina (one a neighbor in Irvine terrace, cdm) said that they were treated like kings and queens from start to finish. Truly, when i spoke with my friend about their experience with TEL i could not wait to work with Adina and be in such capable hands. To have two separate people that had events 5 years apart give such a high recommendation gave me great confidence in Adina and her staffs abilities. From the moment my daughter, husband and i met Adina we could see everything and more as to why she came so highly recommended. She astounded me with her creativity. I have lived in my home for 35 years and i thought i would know best how to have a wedding here. I was so wrong!
