So they finally built an escape game here in Seattle! For our friends engagement party, a bunch of us decided to go and try it out! The entrance to this place is outside of a mall. The building itself is inside the mall but the door is on the outside. We had a start time of 9:30 and the mall closed so we had to walk all the way around to the other side. Obviously people will hopefully park closer to the entrance or drive around. When we walked in, we were asked to check in at the front podium. You can't miss it as there is a big wheel on the wall! Just a note, make sure you have signed the waiver before hand. We were then escorted into a room where we were greeted by the host! We got to play several different games, some of which resembled games you already know like Jeopardy, wheel of fortune and others. The host was great, he definitely has done this before and all the while, he is filming everyone for their short recap video which they send out to all players. Overall, it was super fun! There are no drinks/beverages or any type of food so make sure you have eaten it, drank it or pooped it before arriving! You will have fun!

They were very accommodating, and their games were really great. Highly recommend. My wife and I had a blast.

Dimension XR is always a very fun experience. I've been there a few times now and it never…read moredisappoints! The environment: Dim lighting, but lots of fun cooler-toned lights. There are lots of spacious rooms to do the virtual reality in, however you can run into the wall or fall The staff: The employees are always so nice, helpful, and informative. They always help you with the virtual reality gear (two hand things (apparently I'm not cool or trendy enough to actually figure out what the hand controls are called ) and the virtual reality headset). Also, we finished our escape room early and the employee there let us try five minutes of another virtual reality simulation because we hadn't used up our full hour with the other one. I was very impressed by their integrity with that, especially since we just had five minutes left and certainly wouldn't have noticed. Extra details: Half hour activities are $25 per person. One hour activities are $40 per person. They have options like laser tag, active shooter simulations (like shooting zombies and stuff), a few random simulations like cooking, and lots of virtual reality escape rooms. They have a lot of options, and the virtual reality gear is always clean. I've only done the escape rooms and they're actually pretty challenging. You can get hints within the simulation if you need them, and there's a constant timer as to how much time you have left. Final thoughts: It's a little spendy and virtual reality itself is always a little disorienting, but it's a very fun activity and team building exercise to do with friends or family!

They have many games to choose from so I suggest going to their website prior to visiting to check out which games you are interested in, so you can make the most of your gaming time. $25 for 30 min and $40 for 1 hour, if possible go for the full hour. It is your choice which games you want to play. Escape room type games take much longer and will eat up your time sometimes can take the full hour They have team games, versus shooting games, escape room games etc. Our favorites: Cook'd Up (work as a team, hilarious and lots of laughs, similar to the game overcooked) Plush Rush (work as a team, set up is like you are in the movie Toy Story and it's like a defend your base type of thing) Arrow song (similar type of shooting game but with arrows and a fantasy setting) *They have a hunting animals game and experiences where you can shoot each other too. We can't wait to go back and try the other games. Maybe next time without younger kids so we can try the zombie and "scarier" themed lol! *Wonderful customer service! *I easily get motion sickness but I was good throughout *Ideal for 8 years old and older *Lots of parking space available *They take walk-in's but highly suggest you call incase they are booked for a private event *Sandbox VR in Seattle & Kirkland charged $50-60 for only half the game play time(30 min) Dimension XR it's $40 for a full hour. Much more reasonable price and the reason we will be back.

Our friends visiting from Las Vegas wanted to do one last fun get together for his birthday and…read moredecided to take our friend group to try out Sure Lock Escapes! We went to their demo from the Kent Nerd Block party and we've been hooked every since! The best part about this escape room spot is that they are dressed and act in character which I think one of the coolest things as not a lot of escape rooms do this. The inside of the location is absolutely gorgeous and truly whisks you away into a medieval fantasy world. I learned that all the escape rooms are story driven and there is an order of how you should do the escape rooms, which also very unique and gives you more reason to try them all! The bathrooms here were also themed with dragons, fun pictures, and knights while looking pristine. Our gamemaster (GM), Ben was an absolute delight. He was making fantastic jokes that we all enjoyed, caught our references, and enjoyed some of the wild things we have said while trying to figure out the puzzles. We definitely agreed that he added to the fun. And it turns out you can request for a specific GM if you want to, which again is very cool! We got to do a quick sneak previews of the room and we were offered a 15% discount if we wanted to do another escape room after, which is super awesome as we would have been down if we didn't have work early in the morning. But I do think that is such a fun and fair idea to get people to do another escape room but at a discount. We loved how detailed each of the different escape rooms were, you can tell a lot of love and attention went into make these rooms. I know my friends talked about how they enjoyed that the puzzles here didn't solely rely on lock combinations, which can just tiresome at times. The puzzles here get really creative! We did their Dungeon of Doom as it is the recommended one to start with first and we were able to beat it with a few minutes to spare! This was my friends' first time completing through an escape room and it was just so great to see how happy and accomplished they looked after completing it. Ben got a photo of us at the end and he took an extra photo for my friend's photo and they came out great! We look forward to tackling more of their other escape rooms and I know more friends who would really enjoy this experience as well. I also know their other locations have different escape rooms with their own lore too, so definitely check them out!

I was looking specifically for a Christmas themed escape room around the holidays. Sure Lock…read moreEscapes had one but only at their Kent location. I purchased the Christmas-themed escape room for Two Person Tuesdays to take advantage of the reduced rate when it's usually more per person (since the pricing is a sliding scale depending on number of players - more players = lower cost for each player) We arrived early to give ourselves time to find 2-hour free street parking. It was pretty busy considering it was the week in between Christmas and New Years. I didn't think the main lobby would be themed out but it was! Very medieval, fantasy, magical feel. It was WAY too dark though to properly see though - could use some more overall lighting. It was easy to check in for our booked time. Our game master, Kenzie was excellent! Kenzie was in character the entire time, giving us the escape room backstory and overview for how things would work in the game space. Once ready to begin, we were guided to the start of our adventure. The rooms themselves were all-out Christmas! The design and creativity of the space was outstanding. There were sound effects throughout our time and even animatronics. Our game master gave us the right amount of direction when needed (and of course, still in character!). This escape room stands out from others we've done in the past. Most places just lock you in the room and you're completely on your own unless you go press a button for help. This was very interactive - especially the Yeti coming to visit! The puzzles were unique and fit the story so well. Every element had to be (I think?) designed and made by hand - I was so impressed by everything. We were able to solve the escape room in time, and there was a little light show with "snow' afterward. We received selfies of us with the Yeti and post-game. The little bags of hot chocolate + treats were a nice touch. Our game master followed up with us afterwards to make sure everything went well. I would definitely do this experience again! Kent is a bit far for us (but I wanted to play through the Christmas one which is a limited time only escape room in Kent). Next time, we'd likely try the West Seattle location, purely for convenience. There are many other cool themes I'd love to try. Thank you!

Big props to the Puzzle Break team for allowing us to keep our time as they encountered a same day issue where one of their rooms was damaged. They handled it very professionally and we were still able to keep our time slot so we're thankful to the team. We had 8 people and surprisingly, most of us had something to do the whole time. Everyone had a part to play but some parts we partnered up to accomplish faster. Easily a room you can do with 4-8 people with moderate difficulty, with the more people making it easier. Puzzles were fun, a few challenging ones, but overall pretty linear progression without weird redundancies that can happen with some other escape rooms. This room is great to bring friends who are new to escape rooms as there are still a few surprises (not in the scary sense). Thanks to Puzzle Break for a great time! I didn't book the room so I didn't get the name of the person my friend spoke to but during our experience Neo did the introduction prior to the game and guided us on time when we asked (we only asked for one hint so there was minimal interaction on that part). If this review encouraged you to try it, I hope you enjoy it!

We knew we had to try We decided to do the hardest room at Puzzle Break - Escape from Seattle, The World's Fair Affair We had a group of 6 with varying levels of experience with escape rooms (it was one of our friends first room while two of us have done more than 50 rooms) and the room felt perfect for the size! There were a lot of moving parts and lots to do in to this room so nobody was really standing around. We thought the room had a great balance between technology and analog. Puzzles were logical and hard in ways, but solvable and doable! We all had a really great time and got out with 16 minutes to spare! Communication/organization is key for this room Mason our game master was great and helpful! There was also a giant lounge to wait in for our game to start with tons of couches, games, puzzles, and water. A great escape room at a great venue! Would absolutely come again and would love to do Puppeteer's Workshop in the future

This review is specifically for the Ice Walker room and in no way reflects the staff. They were nice. When our time started, I think we were able to complete one or two of the puzzles in the first room fairly easily. However there was one puzzle on the wall that when you solve it, a box should open. We completed that puzzle multiple times but the box did not open and we finally had to ask for a hint. The staff confirmed that we had completed the puzzle correctly and manually opened the box for us. They also added back a couple of minutes into our overall time. Where my issue lies is that I see that a month ago, there is a yelp review with the exact same complaint. Why hasn't the issue been fixed if that complaint was made a month ago? Other than the malfunctioning puzzle, our group had to use all three of our hints. Usually when you get a hint you understand where you might've gone wrong or you understand the reasoning behind the puzzle. However for this room in particular, we felt that there were a lot of things that just didn't make sense. The puzzles and the low quality equipment really took the fun out of the experience and we're not sure if we would return. A side note: a couple of people in my party have done two other escape rooms at Flee and they have had fine experiences with those. I believe both of those escape rooms were also five out of five difficulty. It seems that with our experience, combined with the other low reviews specifically for this room, that the Ice Walker room is to be avoided.
