Karlee's was a costume-themed event and we all dressed up. This house has a haunted yet rustic vibe to it, from the looks of the outside, to the furniture, to the rooms themselves. My only negative is that I wish there were more areas to sit down and take in the scenery.. I was happy to discover a shaded area with a table and some chairs near a chicken coop where I was able to enjoy Mother Nature. There also are stations to get food to feed the animals like the chicken, duck and fish. Also, when you enter the botanical garden, they give you a wristband that allows you to leave and re-enter for the day which is great especially because there are a couple of fun places with activities and restaurants right in the same area as the garden!!

The Teapot is highly recommended and they delivered exactly what was expected with no surprises. We had a wonderful time and will cherish the memories for a lifetime. It's a clean and spacious venue and Culinary Dropout catered the food here both times I have been here. And if you know Culinary Dropout, you know you're in for some truly tasty bites. Soft pretzels and provolone fondue? Need I say more? I came here for a really large work party and the best way to describe the ambiance was a nice wedding reception without a wedding. We had beautifully decorated tables with assigned seats, fun music, a bar, and photo ops. The drinks were good - in my opinion they were pretty standard event cocktails. Definitely tasty, but not craft cocktail level drinks. When it came time to eat and we all went through the buffet, I had pretty low expectations since it is a buffet to feed over 100 people. I have to say though, the food was really and truly wonderful. Best event food I've had hands down. Overall if you're looking for a fun place for your next large party this is a great option. I'd be happy to have a reason to go back!

He does a great job, but there is no true way to not have the meat a little rough when it's sitting on warmers for a couple of hours, a fact he warns of before hand. I'm giving 4 stars because they did follow everything in the contract. The mid: They follow everything to the letter of the contract, this is both good and bad as if you didn't talk about it before hand they will not deviate. I appreciate this but it can also be frustrating. The Photo Booth is two hours and only two hours. We thought we were getting it from 6-8 but we only got it from 8-10 a problem for us because our picture book was incomplete due to guests having to leave, which was something I was sad to see. Thankfully the wedding coordinator had it opened 30 min sooner. (The major reason this review is 4 and not 3 stars )When I asked for a partial refund on it I was told the contract stipulated 2 hours. I withdrew my request for a refund because that's true, that is what the contract said but it doesn't establish good will. The bad: The bakery they go with is disgusting. It's too darn sweet and lacks any measurable flavour... besides sweet. They also took away the food and were gonna throw it away. I just stumbled in the kitchen and saw it and asked them to pack it up. All in all a good place. Just make sure if you have any specifics to get everything in writing just in case. And if you want to keep the food tell them!!

It's hard to list out all the reasons I love Mini Social: the event space itself, the customization that's possible, the location in Old Town Scottsdale, the kitchen, the storage space in the back, the lighting, 2 bathrooms inside, and all the options with the furniture (tables, chairs, couch, coffee table, etc) are all 10/10. Beyond this though, the team behind Mini Social is what stands out at the top of my list - they are truly so unmatched. You won't meet people more committed to making your event magical. While many people use Mini Social for private parties, baby showers, bridal showers, birthdays, corporate events, etc, my experience has been with hosting craft socials for women's community events. I felt so supported by the team and got so much help from them in customizing the setup for my needs, plenty of time for setup and cleanup, and epic communication. They are absolute pros! Jessica is super talented when it comes to design elements, florals, balloons, etc. I feel like planning and hosting events can be so stressful and there are so many moving elements. It can be hard to let go of control or certain aspects in planning - but Luke & Jessica make it so easy and operate like your teammates. Cannnnnot wait to host another event here!
