Fine Fabrics

What an experience!…read more One of my goals in 2026 was to learn to sew. With that, I obviously need supplies, which includes fabrics. A few friends and I decided to make the trip and stock up on fabrics. When I say this place has everything, I mean it. So many patterns, designs, and types of fabrics. Truthfully it was a bit overwhelming for someone who isn't that into the sewing game. So what I tried to do is get a few things quickly and call it a day. Random note: this is in a large building that really isn't heated/ cooled. When it's hot. It's hot. When it's cold, like the day we were there please bundle up. I froze while I shopped. My favorite area is the discounted remnants. This is a perfect spot for someone like me who is likely to mess up. That way, I've spent less than normal on fabric I'm not as sad if i screwed up on. The fabric is a little pricier than say, Michael's but it seems a lot nicer too. As I get better with my new hobby, I will definitely be back buying up all of the materials.

Excellent service, amazing prices, and incredible selection…read more If you have ever wanted to browse an entire warehouse of fabrics... this is the place to go. My only complaint is that it can be hard to navigate the aisle due to all the merchandise, the building has an unpleasant smell, and figuring out the price can be hard. That said, once you hear what the price is, you will likely be thrilled. Also if you are interesting in making costumes? They are right down the street from Reynolds Advanced Materials making this place a winner for two stop shopping cosplayers.

The School Box, has always been the store that I purchase all of my teaching supplies and materials…read morefrom. I am purchasing new items for the new school year, and wanted to show here. I basically found everything that is needed for my class. The store has lesson plan and record books, class room decorations, in all subjects and themes. They also have a laminating machine, that the employee will laminate your posters and etc that you purchase from the store. I'm sure I'll be back soon.

The store hosts a free family event the first Saturday of every month, STEM Saturdays. We went in…read morefor the March event which was the skittles rainbow experiment. Each child was given a plate and a pack of skittles to make their own design. The woman running the experiment was clearly an experienced educator who is excellent with children. She talked to them about the reaction they would observe while walking them through the process. The plates were just small enough that each child left with an extra handful of skittles to eat. At the end, we were given an instruction sheet to use to recreate the process at home and understand the science behind it. The entire experiment probably took about 15 minutes to complete. While we waited for the set up, the children were able to play with items that the store has out to entertain children while parents shop. There's a train table and a table/chair set with activities on the table (coloring paper and crayons, and a toddler puzzle). My 3yo was almost too excited for the train table to pull away for the experiment and my 1yo was happy to take a seat and play while the older children did the experiment. About the store: I didn't get to fully explore but I saw several educational and learning games and tools that I want to go back to check out.
