The EndUP is traditionally an after hours dance club. It's the place to go after the bars close at 2am. The cover charge can be steep. The crowd is a mix of gay and strait. It features 2 bars. One in the front and one in the side. The bathrooms are small and trashy. The back patio is the oasis. Great place to cool off from dancing or mingle. At times they will have food for sale on the patio. The EndUP also has a coat check area and table service. Bartenders are average. At times they have drink specials. The staff were confusing as to where we needed to wait in line for the entry. They told us to wait on one side and then told us we were not waiting in the right area. The music was good and the dance floor was nice as well, definitely could use some fans in there. They do not offer free water which was shocked to me because they then charged $5 for one water bottle? I understand inflation has caused things to go up in price, but I have never been to a club that charges for water instead of providing free water for their customers. She made sure everything was ready, communication was smooth, and coordinated with the DJ and other services I had. I stood in line for an hour with a paid ticket for an event. My friends were inside already so I waited. Almost got to the front and then security watched as 12 people pushed in front of me and cut. I went to talk to security and explain the situation and he shrugged and told me "you should stop letting people play with you." Not sure how I'm supposed to stop 12 people as a woman alone but he told me he was "just doing his job." Which I'm not sure what it was cause he didn't stop anyone from doing that. The service was a little slow due to all the people so you really have to know how to get the bartenders attention. I visited this venue tonight and had a truly disappointing experience. Upon entering, I observed the bouncer engaging in questionable practices, such as taking money from underage individuals and others without reason. Later, while simply trying to wish someone a happy birthday, I encountered a bouncer who seemed entirely disinterested in listening to any conversation. To my shock, he forcefully pushed me out and even resorted to physically assaulting me without any provocation. This level of aggression was unwarranted and completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, I noticed people engaging in drug-related activities and using the same bathroom for such purposes. The atmosphere was chaotic, to say the least. What made this experience even more troubling was the apparent racism I encountered from the bouncer. No one should ever have to face discrimination in any establishment. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and addresses these issues promptly. My safety and the well-being of others should always be a top priority in any establishment because #us-embassy and #indianembassy will be added to twitter to review and this situation on twitter and there's going to be strict action on it . TWO BAR AREAS & OUTDOOR LOUNGES! The End Up is one of the oldest clubs in San Francisco so I was told. Man - this is the hangout after last call for alcohol and they usually have a LONG line outside after 2AM! Different venues during the weekend here rents their space and so you have to check what nights are what. I think for the most part on Saturdays it has always been a mix crowd. I grew up in San Francisco so if you're open to that and you're cool with the great diversity the city offers - you'll fit right in. Plus - you get to meet really cool people too! One aspect I like about The End Up is their outdoor lounges. They have spent I think a few dollars to rev it up and make it more comfortable. They even added a heater so on cold days you can still enjoy conversations with friends or sipping your martinis! They also have two bars for you to order your drinks. It's nice because during the wekened - it gets pretty packed and that really helps cuts time in half! There are plenty of street parking but watch the signs for street cleaning as San Francisco is notorious for giving tickets! read more

This review is long over due. Old stomping grounds and I was reunited recently to see Nio Garcia. I really like what they have done with the place and all the renovations/ art work they put up. I always hear about the Poppin Sundaze they have and how I should come back. After this night seeing Nio definitely want to come back. The weather is getting nicer and what better place to be but in the city hanging with friends at a great location with good music and drinks. Only thing I would change is adding more bathrooms. I have been to the Endup a million times. So much to say about it. Wanna party hard and party all weekend? Hello Endup! Only bad thing about this club is it tends to attract crystal meth abusers. The club is a bit beat up also, like some of the patrons, lol. Also, watch out for the girls there...a lot of them used to be boys. Trust me on this one. Unless you like that, then go for it. I have seen a few straight boys go there and later find out the girl they are dating. etc., is transsexual. I actually saw a few fights there before, but not too many, It's usually pretty safe. Once or twice there was a dead body behind the club (no joke), but that's not the club's fault. Just say no to injecting meth people. The lights and the sound system at the Endup are amazing. The bass from the sound system hits just the right notes. The club is amazing on a Sunday morning, afternoon, or night. Check it out. Even with the flaws, i still give the club 5 stars. The drinks are overpriced and the cover is usually higher than it should be, but what can you do. That just leaves the people there who really love the club. Everyone can use some Endup in their lives in moderation. Just don't get sucked into substance abuse and be careful of the people you meet, and you will be fine. Also the staff and security here are really friendly and nice. I love that. Good vibes. read more

I went here this past weekend and got there right when the bar opened for an event. I went to the bathroom and there was no toilet covers or soap... and it JUST opened. There was barely anyone there and employees were just standing around. I let a bartender know (she had long curly black hair) about it and she said she'll let someone know. She obviously did not let someone know because maybe an hour or so later I had to use the bathroom again and they still didn't have soap!! There were a lot of people at the bar at that point so just imagine the disgusting germs that were everywhere.. so bottom line this place is gross and the employees need to be trained better read more

One time I was so fucked up at the End Up. Someone stole my Louis Vuitton back pack. The most fucked up thing was that it was the head security of the club who stole it. Severy people told me they saw what happened and I even got it confirmed. Yes, the people whose job was to protect their patrons stole from the guy who went there every weekend for years and treated them like friends. Guess what? Ynez the owner knows about it. Did nothing about it. The guy continued to work there for more than a year later without any repercussion. I never got my backpack back, not even an apology from the owner. That's why the End Up is not gonna stay around anytime soon. You're welcome to go to a place where security steals from you and the owner condoned that behavior. Decent day club if you love ratchet music, and even more ratchet people. Drinks are way overpriced. I put myself and my friends on the waitlist and once we got there we had to get in separate lines (guys and girls) come to find out my guy friend ended up paying $20 cover charge even though he was on my list and on time! And it was his birthday. The place can get pretty packed on Sundaze especially if there is a special guest. Parking is pretty tough if you are driving. read more

What. The eff. Was that. OK. Granted we showed up at 2:30am. But when we searched for bars still open and this was just a few blocks away, we figured why not give it a shot? I don't think I ever need to return to this creepy, creepy place but I'm happy that I got to see it with my own eyes. Let's be real: this place sure seems like some kind of drug den. The place was very sparsely populated with all sorts of folks. From drag queens to bikers, it was definitely a SF melting pot. I'd say I wished I had some of whatever the people on the dance floor had taken, but I'm actually kind of scared to learn what it was. Nobody really dancing with anybody else, just all in their own little worlds, shuffling around (kinda) to the beat. 5 star people watching, that's for sure. Plus everybody in the bathrooms had a serious case of the sniffles. If the dance floor's not your thing, there's a big patio out back. It's really strange (a theme for this place) with a super-chlorinated waterfall. Not sure why, but hey... not sure why not either so let's just run with it. "The place where everyone USED TO EndUp" In 2015, this was one of my favorite clubs. In 2017, this is now just a shadow of its former self. The EndUp has mainly suffered from increased competition in the after hours club market. Even just a few years ago, it was basically just this and a few illegal after hours clubs. And then after the illegal ones (surprisingly!) got shut down, it was basically just this. Nowadays a lot of the hottest clubs in SOMA have extended their hours (Temple till 4, 1015 till 3). So it's way easier for people to just stay there the whole night instead of coming here and paying two entrance fees. Historically The EndUp has always been a gay club and now that there are more options for everyone it's back to mainly being a gay club again. Other than that, expect a few tourists as well (with its 40 year history, I'm sure this is floating around in some ancient San Francisco guide books). The music is just as old as the club. Mainly techno. Think late 90s with a guy in black JNCO jeans and a glow stick (can't guarantee that guy will be there, but the music will be). Entry is about $25 and they serve Gatorade, Red Bull, and water. Some areas are closed off depending on how many people are there. Outdoor area is decent. Bathroom is a trough. Protip: Just stay at one of the clubs you're already at. read more

$30 entrance fee on a Saturday at 3AM. Wanted to extend my Friday night party session into the early hours Saturday morning and I heard there is one spot in the city that people go after hours. Stood in line with the rest of the drunk people, got to the front and was required to pay a $30 entrance fee! I know California stops selling liquor around 2AM so I wasn't expecting to get any drinks inside but I also wasn't expecting to pay that much to get in. At least give me a drink ticket for a bottle of water or something. This was one of my first times going out in SF and needless to say it was a TERRIBLE experience. The security staff is some of the worst I have ever dealt with in my entire life. First of all they advertise free before 3pm but that's far from the truth you will end up paying $30 if you're female. They are literally looking for ways to not let you in or kick you out once you are in. I am 5'3 and 120lbs. I was physically pushed and yelled at by the security staff. I could understand if I was causing a problem but I wasn't doing anything just trying to find my jacket that I had set down at my friends table that she paid $$ for. I don't like to assume but they were definitely letting some ppl in more than others. Even though my friend payed for a table we still had a hard time getting into an establishment that we were giving money to. Ps.
