Since my initial review, Teresa and team have really stepped up to make things right. They helped get our downstairs neighbor to stop harassing us and eventually moved him out. It took about six months in total from the first incident to resolve, which is longer than we would've liked, but we're happy with the end result. More recently, when our shower handle broke, we were really impressed by the speed of service. Once I escalated my ticket in the evening, Teresa and Jose had plumbers at our apartment by the next morning. This kind of responsiveness and attention is really appreciated. Things still aren't perfect, but we have a lot of wonderful neighbors here that provided us support during the ongoing harassment. Our next door neighbors said we could knock on the wall if he ever came to our door and they'd deal with it, another neighbor walked my girlfriend to the mailbox when she didn't feel safe going alone, and another came to the front office and plead for help on our behalf. We'd hate to move away from the friends that we've made over the last seven years here. read more

Lousy management. The apartment I lived in is extremely old. The floor and roof creeks all the time. The windows shake every time we open or close a door. The maintenance is extremely slow, if something is clogged, it takes more than a week for them to start work on it. They say 24/7 maintenance which is a lie. We moved into Enclave apartments on October of 2023. On day one, my little dog was attacked, as we came out of our front door, by a large unleashed dog walking around the hallway. Ended up with a $2.5K vet bill thanks to this negligence. The community did nothing to help or facilitate - although it states in their agreement that dogs must be leashed at all times. Within the first week, we submitted at least 12 work orders for a multitude of reasons including: toilets not sealed and leaking/like I mean flooding the bathrooms, broken light fixtures, roach infestation in the kitchen, broken window shades and sliders, broken sliding door to the balcony and broken lock to the balcony door - which by the way, the fact that our door to the balcony did not lock was not considered an emergency so they never came to fix it - Anyway I could go on with inside the apartment issues. As far as outside the apartment goes: The one elevator in our building was broken for weeks on end and at least once a month for the duration of our stay. We lived on the top floor so as you can imagine this was a blast. The stairwells to get to our apartment were inconveniently located, rarely cleaned and dimly lit or simply dark as the lights were often also broken. Within the first month one of our car's license plates was stolen right from our RSVPd parking spot. Anyone can come in and out of the community gates, this place is so extra unsafe. Sent an email to the office about this as well and they were not responsive. Also, on top of my dog getting attacked on day one, walking him around the community was also scary and dangerous, there was trash all over, there was unpicked up dog poop all over and on top of all of that the lighting was absolutely terrible. We had to carry a flashlight anytime going out for my pup's walk after sundown. My little man ended up passing away at 9 years old while living in this apartment, he was perfectly healthy before moving in here and I can't help but blame this place for making me lose him - I lost him on July 31. If you are a pet owner, for your pet's sake stay away for this place. I emailed the community to inform them of my pet's passing for the purpose of stopping pet rent and they never replied to acknowledge. It took us going to the office and putting his death certificate in their faces to get their attention. There are so many more issues that I can list but I don't think it is healthy for me to re-live that place too much detail. My regret is not moving out after that first week. I've lived happily in a few apartment communities across California and I never have issues. This place is just an absolute NO - Stay Away! read more

I recently moved into the Enclave Apartments in October. While the complex has some nice amenities, I have unfortunately experienced a number of issues over the past two months that have negatively impacted my living experience: Safety & Security: There was an incident where my small dog was attacked by a larger, unleashed dog. This raised concerns over pet policies not being enforced. Additionally, my license plate was stolen off my vehicle in the parking area. Improved security measures would provide more peace of mind. Maintenance: I have had to submit 15 work orders since moving in, several of which were completed without fully resolving the original issue. There have also been ongoing problems with elevators breaking down. Quicker response times and permanent fixes to repair issues would be appreciated. Neighbor Disputes: There were a couple disputes with neighbors over things like them looking at our Amazon packages While this is unavoidable from time to time, having better management support in resolving neighbor conflicts would be helpful. The only positive note, Ashley in the office has been kind and supportive in assisting me. Think twice about moving to enclave and ask a lot of questions. Be careful pet owners. read more

The location is nice, but there several things wrong that we identified on day 1 that are still not resolved to this day. Aside from that management has been particularly poor compared to every other apartment I've lived in before this. Expect to get ghosted and never hear back unless you are sharing positive feedback with them. There seems to be no accountability or professionalism. They are more focused on booking food trucks than responding or actually helping tenants. Management of this property is extremely laid back and non responsive. Maintenance is absolutely bad and again slow. People living in apartment above ours have a dog which runs and bark almost all day. Have complained to management multiple times but they absolutely don't care. The dog barks during quiet hours, when I tried calling on premise security service no one answers. This has been going on since almost 6 months now. I wonder what is the use of having security service who doesn't answer the calls. I feel totally unsafe in this community and regret my decision of moving here. read more

I lived here several years. The only good thing here is the maintenance staff, they're very nice and helpful. Everything else is terrible. The amount of pot smoke at night that permeates through windows, vents, out on your balcony, is oppressive. It's unacceptable and management or security won't do anything about it. Break-ins are also frequent and they won't do anything about it. Many buildings have serious infestation issues, and while you're charged an incredible amount of money in pest control fees, they never seem to go away. Next: don't live near the pools. There are frequent parties that go late, loud music (even during the day), and a lot of alcohol and pot that permeate the air. Don't keep anything on balconies, even three floors up, a lot of things are stolen. Next, when I moved out because I bought a house, they (twice!) tried to tell me I didn't pay my move-out fees (last month + lease term fee). The first time was a few months after I left, I sent screenshots confirming the payments (and dates) and they acknowledged they messed up and went away. Six months later, I get a letter from a collection agency saying the Enclave was going after me for those same fees. I sent the agency proof of the payments AND the email exchange with the "our bad" response and I just got confirmation that they closed the Enclave account for me, because it turns out I did pay. I lived at the Enclave for 6 years. When I first moved in, everything was great however as time went on things started going down hill. I lived in building 1 on the 3rd floor. Elevators went out often, there was always strangers stealing packages off door ways and a lot of car break ins. I personally experienced my own apartment getting broke in and having my safe stolen. Security is almost non existent and the gates into the apartments where broke and stuck open 60% of the time. I would not recommend this place to any of my friends. Just my 2 cents. read more

I have been a long time resident here at The enclave for years I first moved in building 5 when Cindy latu and Sarah and the original staff was here. We use to have a cleaners, carwash and BBQ area in the back also not just the front. The apartments is horrible now constant mold bugs plumbing issues and they seem to not really care. I tired of making work orders you can't paint over my mold and think that going to fix the problem. I have reported this issue over and over again I have a sick child and someone has even tried to broke in our unit. I have asked to be moved nothing has been done. but when I reported to the fair housing let see if anything gets done. read more

Overall, I have enjoyed my time at Enclave. One of the most HELPFUL staff is Nathan! If you have a question, send him an email or visit him in the office. He is very resident-centered and always goes above and beyond! This man deserves a raise! The overall complex is nice! I had a friend that lived on the left side of the complex while I lived on the right. The one on the right has much more parking! I would recommend selecting an apartment on that side. If you have an issue (e.g. clocked toilet, broken blinds, etc.) they are pretty quick! If you don't have someone respond to you within a day or two, make sure to call in to check if your request has gone through. read more

We have a very nice swimming pool and tennis court, but there is no security and the gates are merely for decoration. Every morning, people who do not live in the Enclave show up for tennis lessons and take over the court and swimming pool area. In general, outsiders take over the pool everyday. There are advertisements online where tennis coaches advertise lessons at our tennis court. Management does not care about residents-- despite us being the ones who pay for the maintance of these services. Aside from this, security overall is extremely lax-- we've had cars broken into and packages stolen. Smoking is out of control here, the entire apartment complex smells. Not a nice place to live-- unfortunate we've lived here for over a decade and it feels like management gets worse and new problems arise every year. read more

Overall, I've had plenty of great experiences living here throughout the years. Roberto, Lucia and Mason were some of the main maintenance people that I'm familiar with and they have always been great, helpful, nice and professional. The Enclave is an excellent property if you don't actually need them to follow state or federal law regarding the ADA or California and Federal fair housing statutes. It's an excellent property when new, but the management company refuses to update the licenses for their elevators within 6 months of expiration and prefers to send tenants nastygrams (including by unlocking your locked doors with no prior notice) if you happen to live in a building and actually have disabilities. I have been complaining electronically and in person in the leasing office about blatant violations of code for almost a year. Whenever I return from more than a couple weeks away from my apartment, rather than actually fixing issues, the office pleads ignorance of the law. They have even refused to use my legal name and gender/pronouns with me despite being a leaseholder. I will say that they have great salespeople. The front office is staffed with nice, polite people who will do everything possible to refuse to fix severe deficiencies in the buildings. But yeah, there's a nice fitness center too, just don't try using it when you're queer or overweight and the office wants to " show off " their facilities to potential new tenants. Classic North San Jose: in a rush to get a tenant but unwilling to maintain the property even if you've been leading for a long time. A true management company for the gentrification wave. Look somewhere else, there is a lot of thefts, ma car window got smashed and not only mine also other residents and when i ask management to do something they do not deal with that. Ask to put cameras en they say they will not. My neighbor got his motorcycle stolen twice, he was smarter than me as he moved out. I get charged for Gas to heat pool the pool and the pool is not heated on cold days so they are just taking my money. You get charged 25 to get your trash collected that after get out on the bin bellow the garage, this can be definitely done by anybody but they look a way to get your money. Your not allow to bring more than two person to the pool this is really silly you cannot even invite a friend with their family. Also there is people le at the pool that not even live here and management does nothing after 6. I moved here by myself and was specifically looking for a safe, gated community with underground parking to feel more secure. I thought I had found it in the Enclave, but when they continuously allow the pedestrian gate to be broken, what good is the gated community? I had my car broken into in my underground designated parking spot, right next to the broken gate. And when I tried to speak to management about video surveillance, it does not exist. On top that, they blamed me for having anything in my car that might look tempting. I also had to call 9 hours later to ask then why the glass was still not cleaned up when I reported it that morning. I have dodged vomit more than once on the sidewalk and had to walk around a used condom for EIGHT WEEKS before anyone ever cleaned it up. Our elevator has been broken for almost two weeks now. Not a big deal except when you are in a wheelchair, there is only one elevator to get to your second floor apartment. This is cruel and NOT ADA compliant. I've had to resort to staying with family elsewhere because I physically cannot get to my apartment. Where to begin. Management changes here faster than any other complex I know. All management we've encountered here all have some serious communication issues. Vehicular gate is always broken so y Water gets shut off with no notice, we get less than a 72 hr notice for "annual cleanliness inspections" or sprinkler inspections, you send an email to the leasing office and they never respond or only respond to particular issues outlined. Gate codes have never been changed so if you've lived here or know the four digit pedestrian gate code, you can walk right in! Explains how there are so many people always at the pool, hosting massive parties of 30+ people (when the max guests per household are 2) with DJ style speakers blasting music all day long. Not a bad thing, except when you live in building 3 and are trying to put your child to sleep and music is still blasting as if it was in your apartment. Neighbors stomp all day long, slam doors that rattle the light fixtures. Insulation sucks, there are no windows in the living room that open except for one tiny one that opens to the patio. So if you like fresh air, this is not the apartment for you. Tenants let their dogs pee on everything, walls, columns and poop in the walkways. There are people who recurrently walk into the complex, and smoke marijuana in the stairwells. Management knows this and does absolutely nothing about it. There has been broken glass in the walkway for days and near stairs, no one will clean it up. Only good thing about this complex is the maintenance staff but they are completely overwhelmed, overworked an understaffed. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

Our unit had lots of issues and the staff really could not care less. The worst thing about this place was a constant, high-pitched and very loud noise coming from the ac unit on top of my roof. It made the place unbearable and very negativity impacted my sleep and wellbeing. My guests could never stay in my apartment for longer than 30 minutes or so. After a few months of back and forth, the staff straight up told me that they are not going to fix it due to the high cost. They have added mandatory garbage services where they charge you whether you use it or not. I work very very early morning and every night my sleep is disturbed as the whole building shakes so the garbage bin comes through to pick up garbage. DON'T COME TO THIS PLACE!! The management is horrible!! THEY WILL SCAM YOU, IGNORE YOU, AND WON'T RETURN YOUR DEPOSIT BACK!! I have a very bad experience here. I applied for the BMR units and was helped by Omar. I messaged Omar about getting my deposit back and he lack to respond back to me and it went on for weeks. Then he finally tells me that I won't be getting my deposit back. Omar never mentioned that there was a deposit policy during the process nor did we signed anything like that until I asked for my deposit back. He also mentioned that there was 19 applicants for this program after we applied. If he would have told us that before we placed the deposit we wouldn't risk it and pay the deposit. Moreover, Omar wasted our time and scammed us. I then messaged the property and got a hold of the manager assistant name Cathleen Soares. She kept saying they are working on getting my deposit back and barely even answers my messages. I didn't even hear from her in weeks. I still haven't gotten my deposit back and it's been more than a month. They lied to me, and scammed me. Please don't waste your time here. This community and their staff are very unprofessional and horrible. Rent a better place than this apartment complex. read more

Whenever a maintenance request is put in or I need to contact the office they always handle the matter if not the same day the next day. We live in building 1 and it's quiet which is great because I have a newborn. I do see a lot of comments below referencing roaches but we haven't had those issues! The search of a grand apartment started a year and a half ago.... We found this place called The Enclave...beautfiul apartment community. Gated, tennis courts, two pools, one olympic sized, one regular sized, a kiddy pool, jacuzzi, fax and copy center, beautiful recreation area, and a gym....WHOO HOOOO.... Or so we thought.... after spending a wonderful 10 undisturbed months, we started running into problems... My car had been vandalized in our underground parking lot, as well as 7 other vehicles that night. Some dumb ass kids decided to jump on cars, YES I REPEAT JUMP ON CARS. Denting my roof pretty badly as well as denting other resident's cars and car roofs as well. Of course, I had to call resident services in regards to it and of course, "Unfortunately, crime happens anywhere, we can make sure our security patrol is more aware of things and if they see people hopping the fence they are sure to make them turn around." Mind you in this beautiful lovely hotel like community; the neighbors next to us in another "Stonegate"...hmmm an interesting "hyphy" crowd, they are always playing their ghetto music because well I can hear their cars from my third floor balcony. An incident that happened hours ago, pushed my last nerve. MY APARTMENT GETS BROKEN INTO. Yes I was stupid to leave my kitchen window closed, yet unlocked (as I have left it unlocked plenty of times, because I felt like my community was SAFE) as I was in a rush to drop off my daughter and go to work for my first client. Someone had decided to crawl through a window no larger than 2ft by 2ft and walk out the front door with my laptop. Our next door neighbor is also missing a screen and their door is ajar as well... LOVELY... So I find out by receiving phone calls from my fiance while I'm at work. His first question. "Where is your laptop?" I say "On the kitchen table." He answers "NO ITS NOT!!" I said "Call 311 make a police report." Now I can't sleep. The beautiful apartment community that we had been dying to get into a year and a half ago is not what I expected at all. read more
