One guy there does do some scary af designs that even I would say you can find the the beauty in (if your in the market for that). For months I wanted to get a tattoo done by Felix after seeing her work online. When I finally did a few months ago she not only meant my expectations but exceeded them. I have been tattooed before and often find shops and artist to be intimidating. From the moment I entered Tattoo You I felt comfortable right away. The shop was clean, organized and the aesthetic is dope. Felix was so kind and talked through the design with me to ensure I got the EXACTLY what I wanted. Well for starters their website doesn't mention that theyll only go for an hour, website says an hour and a half- not to mention the address is wrong and it was playing hell getting ahold of ANYONE! We still decided to go tho, even tho it was all chaos so far, we still decided to go. My person gets there, Lee or whatever his name is, is having a yelling match with on the phone. Great first impression. Continues to have this heated conversation as he goes into the store and just kinda lets my person wait. When he finally decides his conversation was over he acknowledges my person. Long story short he doubles the price of her and says he won't even start the tattoo cause it wasn't in his price range. See when we texted and literally ASKED before hand if there were any limitations cause we wanted to start a cover up piece. we got told there wasn't any limitations and that they'd work with us. No. Nothing. The price went from $100 to $250. Which granted is a good price for a cover up I'm ngl. BUT that doesn't take away from the fact that Lee was rude, unprofessional and a horrible communicator. I get yall are new, but that doesn't excuse how you treat your customers? I do live in Boston and had been told by someone here and they wouldn't do the piercing because due to the structure of the naval, it would be more of a surface piercing than the regular naval piercing and thereby would not heal correctly, like ever. The girl I spoke to at Hollywood Rebels .. nope. She was mad eager, told me to sign the form, shoot her an ID, and we were off. Piercer looked young but found out she had been doing this for over a decade. She was super friendly, very thorough and informative, and totally vibed with the fact that despite my eclectic piercings and tat, I get nervous about ten seconds before the needle thing happens. Great piercer, gentle as hell, and the place was extremely hygienic, all things super important for those seeking body modification. The girl told me to come back sometime because she likes seeing picture of her final products and I definitely will the next time I'm in the area. Final cost: $50. Super impressed. Edit: Come to think of it, I'm having a huge deja-vu moment and think I might have been at this joint a few years back to fix a piercing that had partially closed. All positive from that experience, too.
