This is a really nice rock climbing place that is great for all levels. It is always really clean. This is a fun place for new climbers as well as advanced climbers. There really is something here for every level. If you are new and concerned about not having the correct shoes or equipment, fear not. They have rental shoes and harnesses. I took my kids here and we were all beginners but quickly started climbing after a brief intro from the staff. For new climbers: There are climbs that you need someone to belay you, but they also have auto-belay climbs that can be used without assistance from someone. This is especially useful if you are alone, or with someone who couldn't belay for you (say, your children). There is also a huge boulder covered in various problems/routes. (This is climbing without ropes). They also have an outdoor ropes course and summer camps for kids. You can host bday parties there as well. We have gone multiple times and are really enjoying it here.

As you can see, bigger and taller than most gyms. And this is only about a third of the whole thing.

Great spot for climbing, one of the staff members was extremely rude with a pretentious attitude and made my group uncomfortable

I can tell the tunnels (caves) are all hand made with care as some parts were tricky, but I never got stuck and I am 6'2". The fans give a nice feeling of relief when getting too sweaty, and it's great going with a friend. The price was amazing as well. I will definitely be going back, this is an epic discovery on my end!

We were here for a birthday party and instead of being fully staffed having enough staff there to teach and help all the kids climb they make each parent be with 1 kid...oops well I have two kids meaning that 1 of them couldn't participate. Absolutely absurd. 2. If you are FAT or TALL or your kid is FAT you will not fit in the small triangle that you must humiliating squeeze though to be able to do the "caving" I saw a grown woman crying because guess what ...if you don't fit your kids can't participate. You need to go with them. and for gooood reason....the caves are pure terror... 3. CAVE trauma ...Children including my own daughter got stuck and lost in the "caves" my 11yr old was banging on the wall for over 20mins until a random person found her, you can't hear her because it's loud in there. I saw another two kids terrified and hysterical looking though a small plastic window in the wall..they were stuck and NO staff helped a parent had to try to go in and find them but got lost. 4. The rock climbing itself was not fun at all the treks up are *VERY* short and most are super easy even for kids...ropes dangling all over, just awful. I've been to several climbing gyms and was a novice climber for fun in my younger years. I've never been to such a poorly organized kids party where adults and children alike were crying. If you are thin go alone and plan to avoid the caves you might like it there. Otherwise avoid. See the triangle that all adults and all children must fit though for your kids to even go to the birthday party if that alone is not awful enough if you don't fit or happen to be claustrophobic there is no staff there that can go on with the kids. Dirty and it's clear that the mats, walls and definitely the "caves" do not get cleaned. Avoid at all costs.

Both ways is totally fine, having one climb with you also has its advantages as well cuz they can help you with the obstacles with personal instructions and new this year they even take some pictures for us in the trees which was awesome especially if you don't have a GoPro or something yourself to take pictures with. I'm heading back with friends in August for some more fun!! Just wanted to shout out & spread some positivity. I will definitely come back the next time I go to

We had an incredible guide, she gave us so many tips and tricks along the way. We ended up doing 5 trails in total- the were so challenging and fun at the same time! The equipment was very secure and strong. This was the highlight of my day!

The path was peaceful and quiet, especially on a cold, out-of-season snowy day. The falls themselves are stunning. Definitely a must-see, even if you're just stopping by the platform for a quick visit like we did.

Parking: most people park at the Laurel-House Road parking area, because it is the closest. Or you can park at Mountain Top Historical Society, the old train station, which an extra mile. Starting from the old railroad station is nice, you can still see some old tracks on the ground. Walk to the overlook is fairly easy, once you get to the start point of Lower falls junction, it is where you need to be prepared. I recommend hiking shoe, especially in colder months where the ground is wet and iced. When you reach to the stone steps, they can get slippery. I am surprised no one fell in late March. Half of the steps were cover in ice and people were wearing regular sneakers. Once you reach the base of the two tier falls, the view is tremendous. If water levels are high, you can feel the energy of the water. There is a lot of spray from the falls when you get close. There is short trail to the middle tier pool. It was iced up during winter, spikes will definitely be useful. The end was amazing too. So close to the lead of the waterfall. You can keep going and follow Escarpment trail and follow the edge of the valley. There is monument for fireman Frank Layman who died during firefighting in 1900, at his monument, you can see route 23A bend around mountain. And if you keep going, there are a couple viewpoint to overlook the valley. Nice break points to enjoy the view and rest your legs.

The town mask mandate requires businesses to respect medical exemptions. I was belaying my partner at Central Rock Hadley in August 2021 when they told me to put my mask on after I'm done belaying him. I said "OK!", and they left. A couple of minutes later, when I was holding my partner up in the air, both hands clearly occupied, the manager came and snapped at me in an extremely nasty tone to put a mask on immediately at that moment. I explained to her that I was holding my partner up in the air and it would be unsafe to do so. How more unsafe could you get than to demand someone to put a mask on while they're holding someone up in the air? She then said that I had to either lower him, or give her the rope so I could put a mask on. I wanted my partner to finally get that climb and to continue to communicate with him about it so I put my mask on while she held the rope. After I was done lowering my partner, I took it off, and she came back to harass me, which I explained that I had a medical exemption and there has been no issue from anyone with me wearing it when I could and taking it off when I couldn't, until now. She stated I had to put the mask on immediately at that moment, or leave now, and if I didn't chose one of the two options, she would call the police on me. I told her I would leave and later on she explained that I had to wear a face shield if I couldn't wear a mask, to which I explained that I couldn't wear a face shield either. Her rules were: everyone needed to wear either a face shield or a mask. My medical exemption was effectively ignored. They violated my rights through violating the ADA and the Massachusetts Public Accommodation Law. https://www.mass.gov/service-details/public-accommodation-civil-rights-protections The town of Hadley mask mandate states: "Nothing in this order shall be construed to require a mask to be worn by children under age five (5) or children who frequently compromise mask integrity with frequent manipulations or removals, anyone who has trouble breathing, or is unconscious, incapacitated, or otherwise unable to remove the mask without assistance or anyone who cannot wear a mask for other underlying health and safety reasons." The manager and employees were also delighted when my truck with signs advocating for medical freedom was vandalized. In fact, from how they acted, I wouldn't be surprised if they knew who did it, or were even involved with it themselves. The Hadley police reviewed the footage but the footage was too blurry to see who did it, so I wouldn't be surprised that these bullies tampered with it, either.

This keeps the gym feeling really safe and professional, which I enjoy. I also love the variety of yoga and fitness classes, plus the free weights in the gym. It's the perfect mix for me of climbing, yoga (which I used to HATE and now generally enjoy, thanks to CRG) and weightlifting. The training area upstairs is also great for climbing-specific training, with a variety of hangboards, a kilterboard, and more. I really like the vibes here, and the music is great 99% of the time. Honestly, my favorite reason for living in this area. Highly recommend visiting!
