I have been to a few chiropractors in the past when I have received a coupon for a free exam/adjustment. All of those past chiropractors basically got me in their door and then would start telling me all the work I needed without taking xrays or explaining anything. It was obvious to me that they just wanted my money and, because of this, I just haven't trusted any chiropractor since then. That is, until I was referred to Dr. Joe Botkin. On my first visit, he spent an hour with me examining my back and asking me what areas needed attention. He then sent me to get an X-ray. The X-ray technician even said "I like your doctor. Of all the patients that he has sent my way, I have never seen one that has a perfect spine and doesn't need any work at all". This means that Dr. Joe is HONEST! He's only going to work on you if you need the work, and his ultimate goal is to get you to the point where you no longer need to see him. He isn't in it for your money, he's in it for your well-being. Besides being trustworthy and professional, Dr. Joe is extremely nice and friendly and is willing to answer your questions or concerns about his methods or why he is doing what he is doing. I started seeing Dr. Joe Botkin when I was 37 weeks pregnant. As you can imagine, I was experiencing all of the aches and pains. It got to be so painful one day, I was in tears as I called The Edge Chiro 10 minutes before they closed. Lexie was able to get me in the next day. I had my orientation with Joe first then my adjustment. Long story short, I waddled into his office with upper back pain, pelvic and hip pain, and I walked out of his office with none of the above. I remember feeling such relief that I felt 'normal' again. He has two special tables that drop down in the belly area and a pregnancy pillow, making it completely painless to lay on my stomach. He always pays such great attention to what I am feeling and what he is feeling during the adjustments. He explains everything to me, which I appreciate so much. Lexie, Office Manager/Receptionist, is so lovely too and very helpful with scheduling, insurance questions, etc. Parking is extremely easy to find, and the office is located in a beautiful, clean building. My experience with The Edge Chiropractic Center has been amazing. Dr. Joe is very professional, yet relatable. He explains the entire process with great detail. I feel like he truly cares about MY issues whether big or small. Dr. Joe takes a lot of time discussing my history and goals. He knows that I am an avid runner and my biggest concern is my lower back pain. The x-rays and test results are explained to me in great depth. My comfort is always a top priority for Dr.Joe. He never tries something new without consulting me first, which makes me feel very involved in my own healing. Additionally, his office is great with scheduling and very flexible if I need to change/cancel an appointment. They don't charge any fees for cancelling. This is a great establishment! I have been going to the New Wave Chiropractor Center for 2 years now. I started going here because I have chronic back pain. Ever since, I feel much better and healthier. I have been able to go play tennis with my kids and I am starting to get my running routine back as well. Dr. Joe and Dr. Paul have helped me a lot. Their positive attidude and kindness really helped me get through this. I am also very grateful for them because they have been helping out my daughter. She has been having shoulder pain these past few months especially playing tennis and after going to the appointments with Dr. Joe a couple times, she has been doing much better and can play tennis without any issues. I started coming to see Dr Joe during the pandemic as he was offering 6 free visits for health care workers - which, honestly, is enough to earn him 5 stars. But I *continued* coming to The Edge because of the small, close-knit feel, super friendly staff, safe way they're handling covid, and excellent care I receive. He uses technology I've not seen before in my many years going to other chiropractors. Pricing is beyond fair and I highly recommend checking it out yourself. He begins with a full consultation where he finds out what kinds of injuries you've had, what ailments are currently bothering you and where you would like to see improvements. From there he builds a wellness plan customized to you, both for your time in his office and things that you can do at home as well.
