The next time I came through to give them my ticket, they told me to empty my pockets which I did and then I was told to fully pull my pockets out so they could be sure they were empty. They also throughly checked my friend's hoodies that they were holding for any food or drink. If this movie theatre has a janitor they need to be fired. The bathroom was just about out of all the soap and had no paper towels. Overall, the Spider Man movie was really good and I'll be seeing it again Saturday in a different theatre.

It's one of a little over 300 drive-ins left in the U.S., and at 8,000 feet, it's the highest elevation drive-in theater in the country. The surrounding views are spectacular! We saw The Sheep Detectives, listening to it on 98.7 FM. The place was packed, and we had several wistful moments as we watched kids in pajamas snuggle into sleeping bags in the backs of SUVs. In full disclosure, I wore my jammies too. Even the food, while a tad pricey, was excellent in quality and taste. We sorta wish we could go back in time and bring our kids with us! They even offered radios to rent out if you don't want to drain your car battery. The movie was great to watch with clear picture and good sound. If go to last entrance, directly across from sidewalk to theater, the attendant lets you in for nothing if you tell him going to the movies. It was a "blast from the past" to be back there after all these years. It was clean and well maintained though not really updated. We went to the smaller of the two theaters. Seats not too comfortable and due to lack of incline felt like you were looking up the whole time. Found myself squirming around a lot so that wasn't great. Still, glad it's re-opened especially if will provide some much needed movie variety.

The food and drink pricing was another frustration. There were no prices displayed, so you have to stand in line and then ask how much everything costs once you reach the counter. In my opinion, that feels like a shady sales tactic rather than a good customer experience. We saw The Odyssey, which was awesome, but spending upwards of $100 for the overall experience made the condition of the theater even more disappointing. There were a ton of employees there but it was just very slow moving. My main complaint here is that the theater was VERY hot with no air flow, at least it felt that way. As the other reviewers have mentioned, this is a small theatre with 60 extremely comfortable seats, so comfy in fact one might easily doze off, so buy a caffeine drink (coffee a mere $1 here) if you're feeling even remotely sleepy going into the movie... This theatre offers $100 yearly memberships which include all sorts of viable benefits, so that's something to consider. More info about that on the Dairy Center website. It's nice to know that interesting art films can be seen here at a reasonable price, with an affordable array of refreshments available. Nice high ceilings everywhere too, so even in the small theatre, there is quite a sense of space. I do have an opinion about the movie I saw, and the gentleman who was there to answer audience questions and speak afterward. Quite an opinion. It would greatly impact the number of stars in my review. But this review is for the theatre and the theatre itself is delightful. I think it is best for me to have the restraint and maturity to share my input about the film and especially the speaker with the people who run the theatre rather than in this public website.
