It's one of a little over 300 drive-ins left in the U.S., and at 8,000 feet, it's the highest elevation drive-in theater in the country. The surrounding views are spectacular! We saw The Sheep Detectives, listening to it on 98.7 FM. The place was packed, and we had several wistful moments as we watched kids in pajamas snuggle into sleeping bags in the backs of SUVs. In full disclosure, I wore my jammies too. Even the food, while a tad pricey, was excellent in quality and taste. We sorta wish we could go back in time and bring our kids with us! They even offered radios to rent out if you don't want to drain your car battery. The movie was great to watch with clear picture and good sound. But miserable people love to take their own time to pick at any and every experience that they might not consider to be 5 star. If go to last entrance, directly across from sidewalk to theater, the attendant lets you in for nothing if you tell him going to the movies. It was a "blast from the past" to be back there after all these years. It was clean and well maintained though not really updated. We went to the smaller of the two theaters. Seats not too comfortable and due to lack of incline felt like you were looking up the whole time. Found myself squirming around a lot so that wasn't great. Still, glad it's re-opened especially if will provide some much needed movie variety.
