No student discount here . They only have a local rate discount for Tuesdays and Wednesdays so if you are a local but don't have a Colorado ID because you just moved you are SOL. Smaller theater in Silverthorne. Limited showtimes but several movie offerings. Location had plenty of parking available. There is a sign that says not to leave belongings in your car in the parking lot. Not sure if they have issues with parking lot breakins?? But something to be aware of before you go. Location was clean and easy to find. Was easy to get in. We pre-purchased our tickets and was easy to get in. We opted to not get any snack bar food as both of us have some various dietary restrictions. Seats were comfy though not the super fancy seats available in many theaters these days. This cinema is discussing. There is trash and sticky all over. Once in the theatre there was glass under my seat so we moved to another spot. Whole theater was sticky and gross. Smelt horrible. The concession attendees were very clueless. I ordered and paid and then had to continue to remind him what I still needed. New to Keystone and this was the second time we went to this theater, in a 2 week timeframe. Tried to stand in line for popcorn until I saw this young worker place the popcorn scoop on top of the popcorn bin and started using his bare hand. This place is so gross as you can see in the picture I posted. Came here on vacation with my daughter. Literally the filthiest movie theater I've ever been in. The theater didn't appear to have been cleaned in MONTHS, and that's not an exaggeration. Full trash cans from previous showings, old popcorn on the floor, spills, stains, and stickiness everywhere you step. The management should be ashamed of themselves. I suppose they get away with it because there seem to be no other theaters in the area, but I honestly don't understand how no one has reported them to the health department. Oh well, when you don't have many other options, I suppose you just have to appreciate what you can get. Thankfully, I live in LA where we take pride on a clean and positive movie going experience. I will never return to this theater, and you're probably better off logging into your streaming account in your hotel room. read more

The theater and seating are fine but the popcorn is terrible. I bought a $9.50 tub and ask for freshly popped corn. They ignore me and fill it up from the front bin. We all eat a few bites. It is stale and cold and so I take it back 15 mins later and again ask for fresh popcorn and they fill it up from the same bin. Cold stale and little pieces. I thought movies and hot popcorn went together especially when it is $9.50. A 4:10 movie so maybe they sint want to pop fresh. read more

This is just straight up not a good theater. Unfortunately it's your only option up here. It's 2018, time to be able to buy tickets and reserve seats online. Most theaters have liquor licenses by now as well. Tourists here want a better experience, and the ticket prices are high enough that it's time to do some remodels and increase the experience. Also here is my other problem: they advertised a huge bag of Reese's in the candy box, then sold us one for 4.50$, and the bag they gave was a completely different bag WAY smaller. Smaller cinema that holds nostalgic charm (for me). It reminds me of my hometown theater in the 90s as it doesn't look like it's been updated much since, with the concessions counter as one prime example. Otherwise, it's very clean, well-maintained, the picture and sound are clear (and do seem much more modern), seats are comfortable and definitely newer, and the folks working here are nice. It's not a fancy theater with triple-wide recliners and dinner service, but it is a great classic theater. They have also taken COVID precautions seriously with clearly marked distancing spots, one-way aisles, large plastic barriers, all staff and guests in face masks, and reduced theater capacity. read more

Movies should be fun.....this dated, dirty theater with poor service and a curmudgeon for a manager is anything but fun. We bought tickets on the app. Don't bother, you still have to wait in long line to scan to paper ticket then wait in another line to enter. Packed theater with poor ventilation and unmasked tourist from all over make this a Super Spreader event instead of an entertainment venue. Cap things off with a stoned staff and overpriced concessions and you wonder how even Spider Man could save this disaster. This dump will make you appreciate NETFLIX. read more

This is the absolute worst movie theater I have ever been too. To start off, it was run by teenagers who were not what so ever accompanied by adults. Everything was overpriced there. You would probably be better off going to an AMC in Denver. Then, me and my husband saw 2 dead mice under the counter. The staff was not helpful in anyway at all. It is old, run down, and doesn't get taken care of. The popcorn butter was canola oil coming out of a dispenser. The theater had multiple problems, to start the seats were old and ripped up. Second, no one cleaned up between showings. The floor beneath my seat was covered in popcorn, vodka shooters, and slushie. When I got to the theater, I was was happy to avoid the 70-80 person line only to find out that the ticket taker would not honor my electronic or my paper record of purchases . I found out that I had not bought tickets; I bought a license to stand in a new, different line that could print tickets, if it had paper. I have NEVER left a negative review like this in a public forum. I prefer to speak with management to resolve issues-- however my experience at this theater begs reporting. We purchased online tickets and paid the convenience fee. Upon entering the theater the ticket booth was closed and patrons were directed to buy tickets at concession stand (not unusual for matinees). I proceeded to ticket taker to have my phone scanned and was told I needed to get in line. I asked Mgr to please scan our tickets so we could avoid the line and he told me no- go to end of line!! I asked if he would refund my convenience fee since I was not getting anything for that value and he told me, "you are getting a ticket". I said that was nonsense - every theater I had ever been to allows pre purchasers to skip ling lines and scan in. He told me this theater was not that sophisticated and walked away. DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS THEATER-- if you must DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY buying online. BTW- we waited 20 minutes in concession line to get into theater and barely found three seats together as a result. read more

We were on a family vacation in Breckenridge, CO with my boyfriend and his family. In search of something to do we came across the closest movie theatre which was in Dillon. My boyfriends father is deaf and I gave the theatre a call to ask about closed captioning. I figured in a small town it was unlikely, but it couldn't hurt to ask. Mike answered the phone and it turned out Mike was the actual projectionist. He was a saint! He offered to take a look at the digital files he had for the movie we were interested in and call me back. Sure enough Mike called me back and let me know he was able to download the captioned version and would play it just for us! He was such a great guy and let me know that he would test it out and give me a call if there were any problems. Coming from Los Angeles this sort of kindness is pretty rare and certainly unexpected. Unfortunately we got stuck in major traffic on the way to the theatre and I called back to let them know. John, the theatre manager, answered and assured me the captioning wouldn't be a problem and that they would hold the movie as long as they could for us. UNBELIEVABLE! The experience was really one of a kind for us and the kindness Mike and John showed really made the entire trip for me. We even got s chance to meet them and thank them in person after. 5 stars!!!! This is a fine place to go watch a movie. All the employee's are HS kids who seem to be half asleeep. This does not take away from the experience because....a half a-sleep high school kid can take your money and give you a ticket. They can also fill your pop and popcorn order with out a problem. This is the only theatre in the area so if you want to watch a movie then this is your only option. Ticket prices aren't too bad, $8.25 for matinee and $10.25 for all movies with after 6:00 PM. They also offer a military discount of one dollar on all tickets. Concession prices are incredibly steep, probably one of the worst ones I've ever seen. A small popcorn cost me $6.00 and I didn't really think it was worth it especially since the quality was very poor. There was a lot of kernels and a lot of broken pieces, it made me very unhappy. As for the theatre itself, it was below average. The seats were comfy enough but the biggest issue for me was that there was absolutely no leg room. I'm a very petite person, standing at just 5'2", but oh my gosh it got very uncomfortable for me and the movie I watched didn't even last two hours. It seems that no one up here in the mountains yelps, which is a shame. Oh well, I'm getting lots of firsts this week. This movie theater is getting one more star than it deserves because it is one of only a few places in the area to catch a flick. I've been here twice in the past couple of weeks, both on weekdays but still very crowded - granted it is the holidays and like I said before - only movie theater in the area. The crowds don't bother me so much, but the seats do. I guess I'm tall for a woman (5'7"), but I'm no giant. Still I can't seem to find a way to sit comfortably in one of these theaters without kicking the seat in front of me. The rows of seats are so close together that my knees are always rubbing against the chair in the next row. And especially in one of the longer movies (aka, Avatar), that's just uncomfortable. Other than that I really have no complaints. This place is just a regular, run-of-the-mill movie theater. Nothing spectacular but nothing you wouldn't expect in a typical movie theater. We read the reviews and were somewhat concerned. The reviews sounded like you run of the mill, Mom who expects more out of her teenaged ticket taker.... to be taken with the understanding and the language used that this is someone with an axe to grind. We booked our tickets online, showed up and they printed them out and we went right in. We got popcorn and drinks and they were good. We went right in and found great seats. The theater was clean and the temp was great (it was 2 degrees outside). This place is cheap compared to Denver and way easier to get in and out. This theater is perfectly fine and we will go back again despite all the bad feelings from overserved locals and tourists that have unreal expectations. If I could give this place a zero, I would. Do NOT take your family to this theatre. Upon sitting in our movie, a pissed off customer came into the theatre mouthing and being completely inappropriate with a room full of children. My husband was the ONLY man who got up to confront him and get him out of there. Once in the lobby, the man continued to try & fight my husband. The story ended up being he was mad because this movie theatre sold him tickets to a sold-out movie... he was there with his family and acted a fool. They had already called the cops prior to him walking Into our movie and again after my husband was out in the lobby with him. The cops never showed up to our knowledge and this went on for 30 minutes before the man finally left with his family. He had also been drinking and drove away with his kids in the car. Not once did any of the employees come into the theatre when the man came in there after they had already told him not to walk back to our movie. He had also already cussed out the manager... no employee ever tried to intervene as this drunken man provoked my husband. NOT ONCE was there any protection for anyone in this movie theatre. If you do decide to go after reading this review, I hope you have your CHL. No security is present and as my husband was told by an employee, "the cops are up here all the time". But, it's also my only option. Here we go: Who the hell picks your movies?? Seriously? It's holiday movie season, the second highest grossing season for theaters next to summer. It's also the only theatre in a tourist area. It's almost 2012 and you think "Courageous" over "The Sitter" will make more cash?? This is a flick about 4 mega-Christian dads, courageous enough to be mega-Christian dads. I'm for real. This is the type of garbage Lifetime plays after 10pm. Denver, the closest major metropolis, has 2 theaters showing this hunk of crap. Why the hell is this a good idea? If there was another theatre in Summit County, you would be crushed based on decisions like this. Also, fix your sound. You pay all this money to go 3-D, but zip to put in a system that can handle modern movies with modern sound. I almost walked out of "Cowboys Vs. Aliens" because if the crackling, popping, blown three years ago explosions. They're ruined, your subs are trashed. I complained about this after "X-men: First Class" and the manager said your working on it. Fix it. It's embarrassing. Finally, if you're going to charge like you're a big dog theatre in a big city where people have an opportunity to actually choose you then act like it. Clean, especially in your bathrooms. Christ. I know movie theaters are know for expensive food, but this place takes it to a whole new level. $6.25 for the small popcorn that is the size of a large drink cup! $8.75 for the jumbo, that is actually the smallest jumbo size I have seen. Also, when I went to popcorn machines were off and all the popcorn was stored in a glass container, (no fresh popcorn for me). The movies are also pretty expense, ($10.25) when they don't even do assigned seats and such a small town. read more

The chairs are comfortable, ticket prices are average. But we saw Frozen last night at the 7:05 showing and the theater was disgusting. Four seats in a row had sticky soda and popcorn spilled all over them. This tells me they didn't take five minutes to keep them clean and wipe them down between showings. As it happened, our group had to split up because at 6:45 there were not five clean seats anywhere near each other. The selection of candy was limited (knockoff candies and fake Dip n Dots? Really?) and there was a group of teens in the arcade smoking puffs of electronic cigarettes. BOTTOM LINE: Outdated and dirty, will never return. read more

I was literally standing in line at the concession while one off duty employee was speaking (flirting) with a cashier who could've been taking my order! She literally made eye contact with me and continued her conversation. I had to rudely interrupt their teen love sesh and asked "are you open"? The long, curly, blonde haired male that was not on the clock turned around to tell me "no, she's not"! WTF???? I don't care how bad you want to see a movie, I highly recommend not coming here. The place is a zoo and highly unsanitary. It's heavily over staffed with employees eating and messing around behind the counter. On a slow day the concessions had 7 employees working with trash in the front lobby and all over the counter, but all the employees seemed unconcerned and would rather mess around and throw food at each other than actually do their job. The scooper for the popcorn was consistently placed on the dirty counter in front of guests in which the employees seemed to lack all respect. I watched employees steal popcorn, food, and drinks for themselves while constantly slobbing over their food on the job. It consistently took 4+ employees to run a simple transaction. I love all the tourists bitching about the theatre and the "locals discount" The cost of living here in the mtns. is exorbitantly high, but we deal to live in such a beautiful place. Gas, rent and pretty much everything are WAY higher than Anytown, USA, and locals won't pay the full price to see a movie unless it's a great one. So it's smart to take care of us. Same with restaurants. And you're on vacation, in the mtns., so the theatre may not be up to the caliber in your local mega-malls, but it's not bad. And they have a lot of crappy, sappy, and kid's movies to satisfy the white-bread tourists, not challenge them That's my gripe. There's nothing special about this theater. The tickets are expensive, $10.25/adult, and $7 for kids, no student discounts. The food is extremely expensive but it's always expensive at movie theaters. One thing I found very weird is that they do not clean up the theater after every movie. When I walked into the theater there was popcorn all over the floor and seats. It was pretty gross to have to wipe off food from my chair before sitting. Also, they do not play many previews. My movie started at 7:30, and the screen was blank till then. Once it turned 7:30, there was two movie previews then our movie started. I wasn't a big fan of this because I enjoy watching movie trailers. The seats were basic, nothing too comfy, doesn't lean back at all, so you sit pretty stiff. The arm rests do move up or down, so if you like the get cozy with the person next to you, that's able to happen. The sound and picture was good to me, nothing to complain about in that category. read more
