We went here for my son's birthday party and thought the customer service had much to be desired. After paying almost $30 for 3 tubs of popcorn, I was refused 1 refill of popcorn and asked 'if I had my receipt?' In my forty years on this planet, going to movie theaters, I have never saved my receipts from my popcorn purchases, nor have I been asked to present them when requesting a refill. The young man, with zero customer service skills, informed me that my 'large popcorn tub was not the jumbo tub, which comes with 1 refill.' To which I responded that 'we had ordered the jumbo tub, because we wanted a refill.' His response was to go find his manager. I used the facilities and was ignored when they both walked by me on my way back to the concession counter. I proceeded to throw my popcorn tub away, disgusted with the ignorance of the staff. I know popcorn is the least expensive product they sell, especially when the customer is providing a container. Do you think their cost would be more than 1 cent? What happened to making the customer happy? Had I been in this position as an employee of the cinema, I would have filled the container with a smile. Perhaps general training on proper responses to customers should be considered, since common sense is most certainly lacking. The next birthday party will be at an establishment that cares about making customers happy. This was absurd and extremely disappointing. If you decide to spend your hard-earned money here, save your receipts for refills. I'll be home, or elsewhere. read more

When buying tickets we were asked if we were locals. Apparently, if you are local you get a better price on so called "local day". I would think that tourists are a major source of revenue for a town such as Dillon... but what do I know. I do know we are spending a lot of our hard earned money while on vacation here. My home theater! It has transferred ownership many times over the last 15 years. I know many of the people who work there because they are high school students who go to school with my youngest. They do keep it clean and they change the signs outside frequently. I think they change it too much. I wish some of the movies would have stayed longer such as Assassin's Creed and the new Underworld: Blood Wards. Movies seem to be a bit behind and only Star Wars lasted 2-3 weeks here, actually I believe it is still here! They do not check the theater during the movie enough too! I'm going to vent, but it really pisses me off when people go to the theater and talk, or are on their cell phones, or bring their babies who are crying, or are drunk, when they go! It is expensive to go see a movie, over $10 per person! They have locals discount (must show ID) on Wednesday and Thursday I believe (double check!) and they do have matinee times before 6pm. However, when I go with my son's or girlfriends or even by myself and I want to watch a movie and then I have all this talking around me....I just want to throw my popcorn and the bucket at them!!! I suggest that they check it often. I have seen many people sneak alcohol (they do not sell or allow it) in the theater. I remember seeing Twilight: Eclipse with my fiance (at the time) and there were a bunch of teeny-bopper girls giggling and laughing, I had a hard time hearing the movie. I was really ticked off. The seats are comfortable, they do their best to keep it clean. The concession food is quite expensive though, so eat BEFORE going! They don't have any real food. They offer nachos, hot dog, pretzels, popcorn and soda, even bottle water. They only offer popcorn and drinks as a 'package', which I hate. I do like getting the nachos with extra cheese. They offer jalapeno's with the nachos. I don't know if they are an extra fee or not. I never get jalapeno's because I think they are gross! Overall a good theater, but I have been to better and worse. The pricing plays a bigger role so I give it a C+ read more

I bought a ticket on line when I got there and showed the ticket the boy in the entrance told me "I can not do anything with this go to the entrance to change that" no more explanation, no more information , when I went to the entrance I finally figured out that was 2 "self check in machine " and one was broken the machine was for online ticket and by yourself credit card ticket So was a line on it it was some kids trying to by tickets on the machine and having trouble doing so , so it took forever, when was my turn to get my online ticket the machine forced me to swipe my credit card again with no other option to scan my bar code from the movie I bought online or punch in my confirmation, so if I didn't had bring the credit card I couldn't had to be able to get in or had to go back to the end of the cashier line (that was really big at the time) so when I went to swipe they put the machine in a tight boot that took me 7 swipes to be able to make the machine work and get my tickets and beside the paper was almost out all that took a extra 30 mim when I got inside the theater was already full and we had to seat on the first line , also my wife bought a small popcorn and soda and was really expensive and the kids working there r very rude. read more

Theater screen and sound were very good. Seats are a bit uncomfortable for short people such as myself. Concession area was a bit messy and dirty. I was told the men's room was horrible. Concession prices are outrageous. $23.75 for 2 medium popcorns and 1 lg soda & 1 small. read more

I like my movie theaters with quiet crowds, comfortable seats, and up to date audio. I don't need jumbo IMAX, 400 ft screens, or 3D. This theater seems pretty new in the audio category and the seats are clean and comfortable. This is your typical modern "new school" theater. It's totally good. My only beef was that the M&M's I bought tasted 5 years old and were all crushed. The staff are snowboarding bros - but who cares. read more

This was just what we needed! Came up for a last minute trip before the kids went off to school, and the weather was crap. Not the best thing ever, but we were so thankful for the friendliness of the staff here at the movie theatre. We may not have been able to get out on the lake as we had hoped, but it was nice to be able to do something to soak of the time. read more

I lost my iPhone last night at the theater - it must have slipped out of my purse, which was sitting on the seat next to me. I called this morning and left a message about it and a guy named Adam called back within the hour to tell me they had found my phone. Yay! Drove over from Breckenridge to watch a movie. It was obvious the staff didn't want out of town people there. 1. They were rude once they found out we weren't locals. 2. They charge out of towners 10.25 and locals 7.25. As a business owner I would be trying everything possible to get tourist to come visit my venue. At this movie theater they don't want anything but locals. We went to the 7pm movie. When it was over all lights were off and staff couldn't be found. I have to admit we didn't actually go to the theater - we were on our way, but then remembered what they had done to my niece and her son. He's 4 and is a diabetic so she had a juice box and some emergency snacks for him. She also had purchased tickets for 3, popcorn, sodas and candy from the theater. Upon entering they asked to search her bags including her 4 years old's diabetes bag and then refused to let her in w/his juice box and snacks. She explained they were a medical necessity per dr. Instructions. They said they have diabetes tabs for such emergencies. She explained that if it was truly an emergency situation she wouldn't have time to track down an employee and have him get them out of the locked office. No logic here. She ended up leaving, they refunded tickets but not $40+ in concessions. They won't get a dime from me - hope others believe in speaking with their dollars as well. read more

I went to two movies this week. They showed at least 7 tv commercials for cars and other stuff. The reason I go to the movie is to avoid tv ads. The skyline cinema is above average for a small town! Decent selection with 8 theatres going. The food is nothing special but the staff is always friendly and helpful. The restrooms are clean and theatres are 9 times out of 10. The screens all appear to be digital projection and at least some have 3d. I have noticed a couple of focus issues with the lenses and speaker distortion. The isolation between screens has been a little weak at times with bass carrying into a quiet scene. Overall it is almost always a positive experience! some suggestions for the future include mobile ticketing, some second or third run films and more special or theme nights. I believe they have a large market they are missing out on with not keeping up on current ticketing technology and SEO. Thousands of cars are backed up each weekend on i70 that could turn into more tickets and food being sold to space out traffic, especially skier traffic. Dolby cinema would be a great partner for an optimal on screen experience along with more varied food options, even if they are high margin items. There is nothing like being able to enjoy a film on a massive screen and I hope to be able to experience this far into the future! read more

Tuesday (and another night, I think) are locals night so you get cheap tickets, you usually just need to mention it, they never check our IDs.. Snacks are way to expensive! The theater is outdated! the tickets are over priced. It isnt fair because it is the only theater in summit. In Denver they have couch seats the lounge back and they serve food and the tickets are only $8. While here they are $10.25 For the person who complained about not being a local and paying more that is how it should be. DONT COME TO SUMMIT IF YOU CANT AFFORD $10.25 FOR A MOVIE. This place is terrible. Don't go here. In the first October storm I came in with a half gone cup of hot tea. I mean, it was the middle of a blizzard, very few people, and you'd think the incredibly rude manager would like the business. The place was filthy too, so the 'no food' policy obviously made little impact. The obnoxious manager and incredibly rude teens said 'No outside food or drink, can't you see?' Then proceeded to root through my purse. I see movies in large urban centers, and never have I been subject to an obnoxious search. I told the manager - "Look, it's freezing, if you sold hot tea at your snack bar, I would buy it." He didn't, and refused to admit me. I got my money back. Upon research, I found that this is a multi-state corporation located in Kansas. With such disgusting service to locals, and to people over all, let's throw these bums out of Silverthorne. Go to the Speakeasy in Breckenridge. Much nicer, better service. Look at the several years of other reviews, and let's continue this downward trend. This corporation doesn't belong here. read more

I am so disappointed in this theater. Yesterday (11/9/15) my mom and I went to the 4:15 showing of Bridge of Spies and the projectionist was SO LOUD!!! He was talking throughout the whole film and you could hear him out in the theater. It was completely distracting and took away from the experience. Given the location and the crowds, this theater could definitely do much better. To begin, they make you line up (and there are often lines) for tickets outside, in what can be very cold and blustery conditions (I know, this could be alleviated by purchasing tickets online). Secondly, the theater has HORRIBLE sound. The sound barely rivals a home TV that does not have surround sound. Third, the parking lot design creates horrible safety and traffic issues. This theater NEEDS an upgrade. It is so under par (mostly due to sound issues) that I have questioned seeing movies here due to fear that my experience might ruin the movie for me. read more

I live in gypsum Colorado and the two theaters near me didint have the movie we wanted to watch so I decided to make the 1 hour trip to dilion to watch it, I went online and got the showtime and got there just in time, when I went to purchased the tickets the teenager behind the counter said that the movie was not showing because something was wrong with the screen. REALLY!!! I told her I just drove from gypsum and she just said I could talk to a manager but she doubted they will sympathize with me, the least they could've done is offer a discount or post that the movie was cancelled on their website, we ended up watching a movie that they had at capital theater 15 minutes away from my house, you need better customer service, and upgrades to everything its looks outdated and old, I don't know if I would go back to this theater ever again. read more

Only place in the county with more than one screen, and it shows. Sound and picture are pretty good.
