    Stage from lawn

Nice Venue. Smaller than expected sound was good at different spots. Staff friendly but definitely watching you tip on the overpriced venue beers. Clean restrooms

You just have to find a band you like because the environment is stunning. This outdoor venue has great sound. I chose to sit way in the back and I could hear just fine. If you prefer a shady spot, get there earlier and sit at the pit closest to the stage. The shadow from the stage will engulf you. Adjacent is a family friendly Marina Park with picnic tables if you want the truly cheap seats. No view of the stage but you will hear the music just fine.

We queued up for the concert line at about noon, just in case. There is a park nearby with picnic tables and a small playground. But the best part is the bathroom that is located outside of the gates to the left of the box office. This came in handy while we waited for doors. They did put up blinders so no one could watch sound check. Which was weird because you can't even see the stage from where we are. The event staff was nice enough. Slightly stand offish. When you get in you do have to go down the stairs to get to GA standing and lawn. I was with someone disabled and it was difficult to hurry to the front once gates opened. I wish they would let disabled in a little earlier. The venue is on a beautiful lake. None of it is covered which we noticed as we came in and it started raining. The sound was great. The stage security was SO NICE. And one even let my friend sit occasionally when she needed.

Headed up to Dillon for a vacation getaway? I would 100% recommend you look for a concert at the Dillon Amphitheater. I saw the Colorado Symphony on Independence day and was wowed. Parking is quite limited so the earlier you arrive, the better. They do have security, but they only check purses and bags. And as always if you're not sure if you can bring something in, always refer to their website and policies. The amphitheater itself is gorgeous. You can't beat the view. It's right by Lake Dillon, hence the name, and the sunset was spectacular. There were no chairs except in the ADA sections, but you can bring in a folding camp chair and sit on the cement or in the back of the grass. We brought a blanket and sat in the grass, which I thought was comfortable and had a nice view of the stage. Concessions were far, few and in-between. I believe they have different companies and food trucks come in for every show. There was a hot dog stand and a ice cream and popcorn stand when I was there. The ice cream was expensive at $7, but that's expected at any venue. The sound was great, however, a couple times the conductors microphone would but out when he was speaking. Probably a tech issue and not the amphitheaters fault, but it did put a damper on some of the more important notes he was making. Looking forward to attending a show here again!

Every outdoor concert feels special post-Covid, but when the show's in a setting like this, you've got to count your blessings. This was my Dillon Amphitheater (DA) debut and the place more than lives up to expectations. What did I like? With a lawn and a capacity of a only few thousand, DA offers a more intimate and comfortable experience (and a lot fewer stairs!) than larger venues. Acoustics: With the stage up close, music fills the space from top to bottom--no need to pack in down low unless that's your thing. Stretch out on the lawn. It sounds great there, too. Stage view: See acoustics. Obstructed only by tall people anywhere you go. Vibe: Security and cops were friendly, wound less tight than most, letting folks get their groove on. Vendors made lines move fast--and they smiled. It feels local here, not corporate. To wit, Dillon beers are offered for a few bucks less than a Coors Light in Denver. Setting: Gore Range 12er Buffalo Mountain and 13er Red Peak form one of the most striking backdrops I've seen anywhere, especially with a bold sunset. What didn't I like? Nothing. I'm looking to make space on my calendar to come back for another show as soon as I can.

This was a park we stopped by on our way to the airport. We were looking for a place to get some drone footage and this park didn't disappoint! I also brought my dslr so I was able to grab some great shots. My only regret is not having more time here. It was so impressionable and magical.

Atmosphere: The atmosphere felt like a true winter snow…read moresculpture competition. Cold, snowy, and almost magical, especially at night. The sculptures were lit up with colorful lights, which made walking through them feel like a winter art exhibit. Even though some sculptures had started to melt due to warmer temperatures this year, it was still really cool to see the level of detail and creativity. Knowing that each piece started as a massive block of snow made the experience even more impressive. Transportation: We drove our own car and parked in downtown Breckenridge. Parking is paid, but we arrived at a time where we only had to pay $0.50, since parking is free after 8 PM on weekends in downtown Breckenridge. Price: Admission is completely free, which makes this experience even better. Crowd: A small crowd of people were there spread out. It was one of the last nights to view the sculptures. Experience: It was amazing to see what the artists were able to create from huge blocks of snow. Walking through the sculptures at night made it feel more immersive and fun, and it was a unique winter activity to experience before leaving Colorado. Everything was easy to walk through, and the setup made it enjoyable to take your time and really look at each sculpture. Overall: I would highly recommend checking out the Breckenridge International Snow Sculpture Competition at least once, or even twice, since the sculptures are different every year. It's a free, unique winter experience and definitely worth seeing while you're in Colorado.
