The historic Eclectic Warehouse speaks to authentic elegance, beauty and grace through its extraordinary starry lights, massive heart-pine timbers, high ceilings, hand-made red brick walls and comfortable grassy lawns. Natural light through antique glass makes it a photographer’s dream. With over 500 weddings to date, this 10,000 square foot venue has won the heart of the entire river region. Amenities include tables, chairs, drapes, lighting, a stage, bride’s room, staging furniture, lighted outdoor deck, kitchen, three bathrooms and a courtyard. The 8,000 sq foot main room easily accommodates both ceremony and reception. In addition, we have 2 additional smaller indoor venues, The Eclectic Banquet Hall and the Eclectic Ballroom all located in downtown Eclectic. Our two outdoor venues, The Eclectic Woodlands and The Music Barn, are only about a quarter mile from the indoor venues and sit on beautiful Alabama Treasure Forest land. Plus, we have 3 overnight accommodations.
History
Established in 1996.
For over 90 years, The Eclectic Warehouse has been at the center of Eclectic life. Built in 1928 for Lee Hornsby, the property had been in the family since the 1880s. It has held commercial activity for cotton merchandising, lumber and a hardware business for 3 generations. The children of the town played in the cotton bales and their parents bought and sold the goods that made the town a vital trading center. In 1996, inspired by Mayor Corum, Aubrey Hornsby repurposed it as a town social and cultural center. Its massive timbers, red brick walls, old-south aesthetic charm, natural architectural comfort and grassy lawns inspire down-home livability. In 2016, The Eclectic Warehouse started hosting weddings and receptions.
