Everything went well! We had a bad experience with the Days Inn in Cullman and decided to find something south of Birmingham. You can never go wrong with a Holiday Inn Express. We called ahead and the reservation was made with no problem. Staff was friendly, room was nice as well as clean. All bath products were provided so we didn't have to unpack our own. Continental breakfast included fresh ground coffee ( thank you!) Indoor pool available as well. We will always book an HIE while we travel from now on. Well worth it! read more

A great experience every time we stay here. We call ahead and let them know it'll be a late check in as we're traveling and stuck in traffic. "No problem, we look forward to seeing you, safe travels." Arrive usually after 9-10pm with a smile. The place is always clean, the staff is friendly and room's comfy. A well nights rested and ready for more travel. The breakfast is hot and delicious, staff quickly cleaned up the area. Check out is smooth and with a smile. Definitely staying here again. read more

Nice clean hotel. The front desk staff can be excellent - friendly and helpful. The room I'm in has a clean deep bathtub with shower. The bed is comfortable. I like how the pillowcases are marked soft or firm - no guessing. The cleaning staff will start rapping on the door at 8:30 am, regardless of late checkout requests. The in room coffee maker is a Keurig. The pods supplied are green mountain Columbian and decaf. Don't bring a truck, trailer, or large vehicle onto the parking lot - park on the access road. Low slung vehicles will scrape on the driveway (eg: Corvettes and sports cars, etc.) Regular passenger cars and pickups will be fine. Overall, I am pleasantly surprised by this Holiday Inn Express. It's one of the nicest ones I've been to. read more

We had to stay here during a trip down to our Florida home and my brother was tired. The Holiday inn I normally stay at was booked solid. I had never stayed before and did not know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised that this was a great stop. I asked the staff about places to eat and she suggested Peach Park, about 1/2 mile from hotel. The room was amazing and clean, as they should always be, but the staffing here set the stage, for a great evening. The place we ate at was reviewed by me already, but try the peach cobbler with fresh peach ice cream, it was that good. read more

The blonde-haired lady made people wait for over 15 minutes. I waited 10 minutes with nobody at the desk and two other people in front of me waiting longer than I have. She later came back for her "smoke break." She was also taking crap about another employee in front of customers. The place has a really weird smell to it, and the rooms are hot as soon as you get in them. But overall, it's clean. read more

This was the worst experience I have ever had in the 15 years of staying at IHG hotels. We arrived after a long drive only to have Tiffany the manager have me write my license plate down on a piece of paper because she was busy. went to my room where a dark liquid was dripping down the wall from the toilet paper holder. Normalot I would have complained right then and there but we were exhauste. Woke up the next morning with bug bites all over! Went to front desk at 7 in the morning to check out and let them know. There was no one at the desk. Because we're on a time restraint we had to leave. I put my key in the drop box and left. I called as soon as I got home and told them about the incident. They made a case number and Tiffany called back 2 days later. I explained what happened and she basically said I was lying that they don't have bugs. I insisted yes they in fact did. She HUNG up on me. I called the head office and said I needed to send pictures which I did. They then said they needed medical documentation. I sent pictures to my dr and he confirmed that was what it was. Sent this thru and email and Tiffany is still denying it. DO NOT STAY here. They have BUGS read more

We were trying to drive straight through from Florida to Tennessee but got too tired. Stopped here in Clanton, AL. and chose this Holiday Inn Express to stay the night. Room was very nice and clean. The breakfast was great - hot cinnamon rolls, omelet, ham biscuits, oatmeal, cereal, bagels, muffins, bananas. Service was great. Spent $160 total on a room with 2 queen beds. Checkout is not until noon. Indoor pool, fitness room. Definitely recommend. read more

Great location with all the amenities, fastest check-in ever. Big clean room plenty of towels and a Kureg so bring your favourite joe to go. Several nearby restaurants to choose from fast and sit and serve. We've stayed at serveral Holiday Inn Express hotels and the are very consistant and reasonably price, if we can't find a Drury Inn (a bit more pricey) we always look for a a HIE. read more

So looking at other reviews I expected it to not be good, but I was relieved that it is nice. Ir was very clean. Bed and pillows were more comfy than mine at home! Quiet and room was able to get temperature of room cozy and cool. The breakfast bar was clean, well stocked and free. It had Greek yogurt, which is all I really need! But I also had a small vegetable omelet, juice, coffee and cinnamon roll. Free WiFi and hot water for showers are always a welcome plus in my book. And a nice little pool and fitness center. The only bad thing I can say was the elevator was amazingly slow..... read more

Clean hotel. Bed linens nice & clean upgraded bathroom. If you have children who want to swim the pool closes at 9:30. My major complaint was the room was extremely hot. High 90's today & no air was on in the room the whole day. I called & they said management doesn't allow them to keep ac on in rooms that aren't rented. Then they proceeded to tell me it will take about 45 minutes for the room to cool up. Also, the cable was out so nothing to do during the 45 minutes we are waiting for the room to cool up. Not too happy since we paid $153 for this. It went from $109 to $153 because one of our daughters is 18. read more

Breakfast was terrible! Things were cold and STILL FROZEN! Went back to rm and maid had went in and took sheets and towels from room. Still had 2 1/2 hrs before ck out. No shower. Left and not offered any comp. for being made to leave early! read more

I gave this hotel five stars because it was probably the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. It smelled nice and was spotless. The bedding was clean and comfortable. Stopped here on our way to Orange Beach. Will definitely stay here again next time we make this trip. The breakfast was the usual hotel breakfast. My only suggestion would be to offer more fresh fruit options. read more

This is a Patel family Property. For the unseasoned business traveler that does not know what that entails, read on. I had a particularly unpleasant experience with staff at the front desk and asked that a manager contact me so I could share my experience with them. They refused to even return a call. I called twice the next day and left messages for a manager to contact me and they still refused to return my calls. I sent a letter asking for a member of the management team to contact me, and you guessed it, no reply. They do not care enough about guests to even hear them out, so why would they care enough about guests to clean a Hotel or provide a comfortable experience beyond running a credit card. read more
