My fiancé at the time and I toured the venue a month out before he actually propose. We knew that we were going to be getting married the following year so we wanted to start scoping out some venues. This was probably one of the first venues that we saw, and once we walked on site, we knew that it was the place. Misty is truly a godsend and her husband Victor was a true visionary. I was a little nervous because I am a control freak and, I'm working on that ,however, when it came to the actual day of the event, oh my goodness. All of the planning was well worth it. We had the opportunity to do a food tasting to choose what foods we would be offering on the day of the wedding. The food was just as good if not better on the wedding day as it was when we did the food tasting. We had the opportunity to choose our cake flavors, and the design of the cake exceeded our expectation. But for me, it was the ease of the day and seeing my vision board fully come to life. I provided pictures from a Pinterest board, and when I say it was as if the pictures came off the screen of the phone into reality. I was in tears at the rehearsal, the day of, throughout the whole process and not wanting it to end. The staff on site during the day of made sure the wedding went off without a hitch. I know people say weddings are stressful, but I can truly say there was no stress throughout the entire nine months of planning, there was no stress the day of the wedding, accommodating almost 200 of our family and friends, there was no stress at all. For the cost, I would say it was more than reasonable, considering other venues and vendors. I will say that we did look at other places we did meet with other vendors and for the value of what we got our wedding looked and felt like a million bucks! The payment plan helped us to make sure that we had cleared all balances prior to the wedding. I would suggest getting a plan ahead of time and making your payments prior to the due dates so that it does not feel so overwhelming with the cost. Nonetheless again the cost was very reasonable for what we received in the execution of the day and the overall wedding itself. I can continue to go on and on and about my wedding day. All of our guests walked away, feeling as if they were truly a part of a fairytale. I highly recommend this venue for anyone who is particularly busy and really cares about details. Having someone at the venue who equally cares about detail and has the time that you don't have to put into your wedding day being what it needs to be. This is definitely the place for you. If I could do it all over again I would.

It's in a little strip mall with other business so parking is kind of tight. The event center is a nice size. Seems like the space is big enough for you to host baby showers, bridal showers, and birthdays. It was big enough that they had a small bouncy house in there for the kids to play in. So if your near the Alabaster area and need a place to host an event. Check this place out!

The shower had very very low water pressure partly due part of the shower head was clogged with paint. There was moldy ice cream left in the refrigerator. When I went to make my complain't at the front desk window, she told me there wasn't anything she could do but asked to take pictures of the pictures I took to shower her house keeper, but then tried to make it out like I was lying because of the time it said I took my picture on my phone?? Totally rude and made me uncomfortable knowing that she was trying to turn it around on me to make me out to be a liar! I MOST DEFINITELY DO NOT recommend The Jackson's Trace motel in Sylacauga Al! Not to mention the locks on multiple rooms didn't even lock according to another lady, who had a toddler, who paid for a room as well! She literally went to her bathroom for a split second and her toddler ran out to the parking lot because their door didnt have a lock on it! It's most DEFINITELY over priced to stay there no doubt! so here I am out of $75 because the folks running the motel obviously doesn't know how to run the motel. Im not posting this out of spite or hate because of how I was treated. Im posting this because this is a true event i had to experience and deal with and I hope nobody else has to experience that awful nasty stay. They also tell you that you cannot have any company there either, which yes, i can understand to an extent on some levels, but they literally watch your room from their cameras to see if anyone has any company coming by or not. if they were worried about THEIR JOB and CLEANING duties rather than who you have coming to your room then they might not have as many bad reviews or complaints. Only good thing I can say is their pet fee is only $5, but the $5 pet fee has got to be in cash...? Anyway, I didn't want to post such a negative review but I felt like I had to speak on it. They always gave me clean towels and tissues they took my trash out a lot of me which was a huge help for me so I didn't have to keep walking out side with 4 small kids in the cold everything in the room worked good The water was hot to take a bathe and shower. My family enjoyed it. Customer service was superb from start to finish! Reservation process was a piece of cake. We will definitely become a repeat customer! We paid $235 for 6 hours. We sat out there for a little while. It was wonderful! She brought out wine and cheese for us. I had some cheese and my husband had some wine. Although I didn't drink the wine, the cheese was good! She kept a mini fridge upstairs stocked with water and soft drinks. That was great! We LOVED our room! We stayed in the Smitherman room. The bed was big and comfy. The TV was nice, too. There wasn't a DVD player, so we brought our portable one and watched it in bed. Breakfast was great! She even gave me a coke when I asked for one. It was very kind! We'll be going back for sure!

Still kept us awake. Reported it in morning and they didn't care. Said we should have switched rooms at 2 in the morning. Then found out car wouldn't be fixed until 4pm. Asked if I could stay that long in room. Sure, as long as I paid for another night. No compassion to our situation. Also, tried to use an electronic coupon and they refused saying they only accept paper coupons. Hello it's 2015! Why advertise electronically if you won't accept.
