They have a beautiful campus complete with a swimming pool that you can walk around and the conference room areas are modern and spacious. The rooms are what you'd expect from a conference center- some are dorm style, some hotel style but they're all quaint and country-like. Think outdated decor & dim lights BUT I've never had an issue with it being clean or having hot running water & amenities like a working iron, TV, or hairdryer. Things that were supposed to be done for our wedding was not done, such as the pool cover was supposed to be off , we were told that due to the freezing temperatures the cover had to stay on ( the cover isn't heated so not sure how this makes sense). We asked were they going to blow off the cover or should we bring a leaf blower and we were told to bring our own leaf blower. Pool chairs and a grill was "hidden " behind some bushes but visible from the pool deck area where the receptions was being held. The people who run this place for weekend events are the worst, Elizabeth and Hansel. Hansel kicked my caterer off the premises because she moved a cone to unload her vehicle. He needs to learn communication skills and not call a 14 year old girl a bitch and tell 2 people that if that were his daughter he would whip her ass (major threat). Also when he came up to the porch after our event he deliberately ignored my husband, not a good way to treat people who paid you over $7000! After many failed attempts to get a response from Elizabeth i feel this is the best way to let people know who actually runs this place. I will not recommend this place and everyone who knows about how we were treated will not be recommending Oak Island either.

It's in a little strip mall with other business so parking is kind of tight. The event center is a nice size. Seems like the space is big enough for you to host baby showers, bridal showers, and birthdays. It was big enough that they had a small bouncy house in there for the kids to play in. The space consists of a large, open building which I believe was at one point years ago an old grist mill and it sits just near a creek set well back from the highway providing a quaint, private space for weddings, etc with picturesque scenery all around. I was legitimately surprised to see that there were no reviews of this place. If you need to book a venue for an event I would definitely give them a look.

There are shots for all types of golfers. The only quirk at Timberline is that 9 is furtherest away from the clubhouse and there is no halfway house.
