My son is in the Army and when he gets to come home and visit, we put he and his wife at the Hampton Inn. We've had several issue with reservations and the lack of apparent training of the front desk staff; but I feel I need to bring up our experience this week: 1. Sunday, 1 June - I check my son and wife in, asking for a room from Sunday to check out Wednesday. It took the front desk person about 15 minutes to figure out how to do that and she eventually got help from what appears to be the housekeeping manager. 2. Monday 2 June - (I paid for the room), I get a call from the front desk asking why there is luggage still in the room. I replied that we got the room through Wednesday. Front desk person had no idea what to do and had to call me back about an hour later. 3. Meanwhile, they get locked out of their room and once again the front desk person can't get them another key. 4. I get the call back from the front desk person who tells me that they can stay tonight (Monday), but will have to check out and back into another room on Tuesday as the room they are in is reserved for Tuesday night. 5. Tuesday 3 June - I go to the front desk to recheck in for Tuesday night. A different front desk person can't handle this and has to call someone to help. After 10 minutes, she says we don't have a room for Tuesday night and there are no rooms available. So now I have no place in town to put my son and his wife. 6. This is either complete lack of training or incompetence by the front desk staff or each front desk person was not being truthful just to get me out of the way. Regardless this is really unacceptable and has really put us in a bind. I'm going to have to send my son 30 minutes away to get another hotel for tonight and I can assure you it won't be a Hilton brand. I worked as a front desk and a night auditor for hotels while I was in college and these tasks are not rocket science. Bottom line, this is extremely disappointing and inconvenient.

While attempting to relax by the pool, two housekeeping people communicated from opposite ends of the property by yelling back and forth. When I got in the pool I was told I had to leave because they needed to put "medicine" in the pool. I was the only guest there and the pool looked fine. I was traveling alone, and was put in a room farthest away from the office which made me feel unsafe. There was only one other guest anywhere near my room. The place looked abandoned. Not busy. The ice machine was broken. this place was dirty, made me feel unsafe and really needs to do better. I didn't complain to the manager because I was feeling uncomfortable and didn't want to make anyone mad.

We recently stayed 3 nights while attending a wedding at Lake Martin. First, the location is great…read morewith access to the lake, restaurants, and other places of interest. The Lodge itself was very clean, has a relaxed atmosphere, quaint décor, and comfortable beds! Coffee 24/7 in the lobby and a grab-and-go breakfast in the morning is complimentary with the stay. The staff (Sherry and Denise) were extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay. I want to share a brief story my wife and I had to illustrate the above and beyond service we experienced. We were checking out Sunday morning and I went to get the car to load up our luggage. When I parked under the entryway canopy I noticed oil pouring out from under the car. I immediately moved it to a parking space. Went inside to let the Manager know the mess made with the oil leak in the drive. Denise went above and beyond her duties by not only having staff clean up my mess in the drive, she called a friend of hers (an off-duty mechanic) and asked if he would be willing to come and see if he could diagnosis and repair my vehicle (on a Sunday morning). He did exactly that, jacked my car up in the parking lot (in 30 degree weather), diagnosed the problem, then drove me into Dadeville for parts, returned and got me on the road! Denise was also kind enough to give us a late check-out at no extra charge! All of these kind gestures saved us another nights hotel stay (and another night boarding our dogs), and kept us from having to tow the vehicle to Auburn to get it fixed on Monday. We are extremely blessed and grateful for the experience, and for staying at Creekside Lodge! We will definitely be staying there in the future and would highly recommend them to anyone planning a trip to the area! Thanks again Sherry and Denise!

Stood there a good 5 minutes, then I had to call her on the phone to come get me checked in. After checking in, got the only cart they had. DISGUSTING!!!! Put it back and decided to just make 2 trips back to my vehicle. The room was just OK. I felt the big icky factor when I seen someone's pubic hair on the floor and in the shower. Ugh. Thank goodness I always travel prepared. Lysol, shower shoes, house shoes, my own towels, pillow and quilt. I don't use anything of theirs. And I never put my feet on their floor. Slept pretty good with the help of my Unisom. Breakfast. Well don't expect anything. I understand COVID has impacted all hotels. But this place was way under performing in that department. All you get is coffee, juice and a muffin. No cereal, no milk, no fruit. If this wasn't the last hotel room I. The city, I wouldn't have stayed here. They could do better. Much better.
