Too expensive. Everyone has to have a ticket whether you go on the slides or not. The 'kids' running the slides don't move people through the lines efficiently-- so you you just wait in line for far too long. Just disorganized and overpriced. The perfect price for this should be about $12.00-- NOT $16.00. read more

I went there with my cousins. One of them is severely autistic, where she can't talk. They kept yelling at her and were not at all patient or understanding. My youngest cousin is 4 and has mild autism. They also yelled at him and blocked him from the slide. The employees are not at all patient or understanding with special children. Do not recommend if you have special needs kids read more

Stay away if you don't want to spoil your day - any staff member could randomly disallow you in slides saying you don't have swimwear. Myself and my family had correct swimming costume - any standard one you get in Amazon, Costco. I even shown them the swimwear fabric description online and what we had. But the clueless, ignorant, arrogant staff got their own interpretation of swimwear - they have to "visually" feel you got the fabric of their liking. Its so random that one member of my family had done slides couple of time, another staff member came up and he blocked for the next round. We argued for long time and finally ended up retuning back without using the park. What a waste of time and weekend mood spoiler. I wish I had time to take them to court. In bw this is my first online review - had to write it. read more

The wave is way cool! I had a blast here, enjoying the water, and the sun. The facility is very clean, and well maintained. It's a little pricey, but if you arrive after 3pm, they have half day admission. read more

Nice water park but I had an issue with admission policy. I brought my parents (in their late 70's) to see their granddaughter play in water...they charged full admission just to watch. They are older adults, no way they could go in the water. They should make exceptions for people that obviously won't use facility. read more

We had our first visit to the Wave yesterday and I was very unpleasantly surprised. I was shocked that they would cut the fence lines so small and leave so much open grass on the other side that could be used for more lawn chairs and cabanas, that open space could have added at least 10 more cabanas and tons of lounge chairs, or even allowed families to sit on blankets with their own umbrellas. Only 3 cabanas available to rent, and only a extremely small amount of double chairs with shade. The cabanas and shaded lounge chairs when rented are an ALL day rent so the people renting can leave the park and come back throughout the entire day. There were a few empty and we went to ask to rent and was told that very thing. We were also told that we could sit there if we wanted and if they came back then we'd have to move. We were more than happy to pay and ended up sitting in hopes no one came back and scored a double shaded lounger for our 6 people and with the last hour scoring a cabana. We were literally only there from 3-6. Other than that ALL tables are reserve only (which are minimal themselves) so your stuck sitting in direct hot sun on very little amounts of grass or directly on the hot concrete. Your not allowed to bring your own chairs nor shades (they don't rent individual shades nor chairs) or food and only 1 bottle water per person and they do a mild bag check for food. The snack bar line took 30 minutes to get to the front to order and they were out of everything including bottle water. The food that was available was horrible. This water park could definitely use two snack bars AND appropriate stocked materials. The lifeguards were all extremely young and seemed to have 0 adults over seeing anything. I watched as the lifeguards continued to yell "no diving" yet one of their very own lifeguards took off all his gear, dove into the pool to cool off and jumped out put on his gear to take his post. HUGE double standard, way to set that example for the kids next to you that your yelling at to not dive. I also watched and listened as another lifeguard working the toddler slide area tell a child not more than 3 years old "bruh it's not your turn" bruh? Really? I think more training needs to be done with way more supervisors. The entry to all pools were blocked with parents sitting with their children that wouldn't move even when saying excuse me, so you couldn't use the hand rails to enter pool or exit. Lifeguards said nothing to them. So extremely over packed and not fun. The water was extremely murky and looked so cloudy as if everyone had used the restroom in it or they don't know how to work the chemicals. The water was salty (had some on my lips licked them and almost threw up because of it) it also smelt like a bucket of bleach yet so so murky. The inside pool was the exact same way and was extremely humid. It's a shame because this facility took so much funding and with a few tweaks could have been so much better. I'm hoping they see the flaws and fix it or it's just gonna end up going down hill with money wasted. That space and funding could have went to a much needed second high school for Dublin if that's all the Wave can offer. I've read a lot of their reviews and it seems this has been an ongoing issue without change. read more

I was looking at hosting a birthday party here but at $25 pp for admission, pizza and drinks is ridiculous. So if you're planning on having 15 kids plus at least 1 parent, you're looking at $750 for a kid birthday party. Who is this park catering to? read more

I loved it!!! Me and my kids had so much fun!!! My daughter loved how friendly everyone was to her and how they remembered her every time she went on the slides over and over again. The food was ok, but not too over priced. read more

Besides the lack of shade and food options (agree with other low star reviews), we demanded our money back in the first 30 minutes. There was a large bus of unchaperoned teenagers who showed up right as we did and in those 30 minutes and in full view of my children... strike one) I saw one of the teenage girls showing off her boobs to another girl strike two) I saw a teenage boy with his pants open offering to show his "d**k" to 4 other girls hanging out with him strike three) A group of these teenagers came running through our towels yelling "N***R", "B***CH" and a number of other words that my 3rd grader now knows strike four) These teenagers ACTIVELY prevented my children from riding the slides and when I confronted the lifeguards, they were too afraid of the group and couldn't do anything. AND when I demanded my money back, the person working the front desk apologized and admitted that THIS IS A DAILY OCCURRENCE. This water park does not serve or represent Dublin. read more

Great water park with fun slides and good pools, and the pools facilities are very clean. The downside is that you cannot bring in any food or drinks, and there are not many food options available at the pool. In summer 2017 we booked a two hour birthday party for our daughter. For $ 25 per person this included a table, a party host, water, juice boxes, pizza, and plates and forks for the cake. We had a very pleasant experience. The host was very friendly and helpful, pizza came in a box and was more than sufficient. We had a great party and were very pleased. Based on last year we booked again the birthday party for our daughter in summer 2018. The rate had increased to $ 27 per person. This year our experience was very disappointing. There were two party hosts, who were not very engaged and enthusiastic. They did only minimum and never checked in with us in between how things were going. We did not get any water. Seemed like the Wave had changed their party policies, and we only got small juice boxes, two small slices of pizza each, and some cheap sunglasses. With a price increase of $ 2 and hot summers, they should at least include water! We had to buy bottled water at the food trucks and some additional food, since the pizza was not enough. When we checked in at the entrance there was another birthday party checking in and they brought in a large cool box! We like the Wave, but will not book a birthday party there again. read more

This place is so close to my house and i very much wanted to come to this place since its construction. I went there the first time today and was kinda disappointed. First of all, the women's changing room was really messy, you can see scattered trash from other people on the bathroom floors. I understood that the place was for recreation purpose and didn't expect much from the lap swimming pool, however, there were constant people going over the lap lanes. I feel like that the management of this place is poor and will not come back again. read more

First time to the wave and the facility is nice and clean. We only did lap swimming and $6 per person is not bad. The only complain I have is the locker fee. You have to pay $5 for a tiny locker or $10 for a slightly bigger one. It's supposed to be an all day fee but for us doing lap swimming we only stayed for an hour. For a public facility I think the locker fee is just way too expensive. They should have the old style locker where it's free and you bring your own lock. Or at least charge a minimal fee like a dollar or two at the most. read more

The line to buy tickets is long but the website to buy them online is the worst! It is made so badly, it takes so long to figure out how to use it. Please fix this. read more

I went today with my one and a half year old. While he loved the pool, I would NOT recommend taking a kid this young. They claim their splash pad is "great for toddlers". It is not. It's great for kids 4/5+ who can go on the structure, reach the turn wheels for the water, and ride the slides. It was $20 for us both to get in and we swam in the pool the entire time as there was absolutely nothing else for him to do. While I completely understand their reasoning for not allowing kids on the slides (safety), I am very disappointed that they would charge us $20 to go swimming in a pool that was "eh". So for those of you with kids under 4/5, I highly suggest finding other pools and splash pads to go to where you can actually participate. read more

They don't know how to teach kids. I don't think the teachers are even qualified or know what they are doing. My son has been going there for almost 6 months and all they do is throw toys in the water. read more

I hope you read this before going so you will be prepared. There are both positive and negative points for this place. Negative points: very very poor management. There is one ticket window open on a busy hot Saturday which means a long line before you can get in. In a hot day this is painful. We couldn't get a locker because no one had bothered to start the vending machine for them that are outside. I asked 5 different people and was sent back and forth and no one had a clue about what to do, even a supervisor. After an hour asking everyone and not getting anywhere, I gave up on using a locker. They don't allow you to take food inside. There is a place that you can buy food but again only one window open for everyone in the park. I waited 45 minutes in line. 10 people in front of me and after 45 minutes, there were still 8 people ahead of me. Gave up on food too. If you are not allowing food inside, then provide food services where people can buy food easily. Positive points: it is not that big and overwhelming for both the kids and the parents. The splash zone is really fun. Our kids range from 2-10 and they had a great time in this area. The slides range from easy to very fast and sudden drop. I hope the management reads this and improve the quality of service because the activities are lots of fun. read more

1st time here on Aug 5th. Got $2 off for the after-3pm admission, $15 each for non-resident. Thanks to all the Yelpers, it preps me what to expect. The facility is nice and clean. Staffs are friendly. Have both outdoor & indoor pools, nice. Spent most of the time in the splash zone for my 4 yr old. So much fun! Only has 9 shower stalls available in women area, the wait can be long. $4 for a locker that fits one med size bag w/ a pair of shoe. Pack light so you don't need the $8 larger locker. If they can keep this place nice, clean, and safe, $15 per person is reasonable. read more

Great place to take your family if you aren't looking for a full Park of water slides. It's relatively cheap ($17 per person) and has about five slides, a huge recreational pool (outdoor and indoor), and a nice sized kiddie area with plenty of lifeguards on duty. The place is very clean. We took our young children to have some fun in the sun and we enjoyed it. read more

Sorry but this is why you won't see me there again - very very expensive $17/per entrance fees (which having 2 slides closed on the day we went, made even harder to swallow) - having my bag searched to make sure I wasn't sneaking in any food (first thought it was for security but instead was told that food can't be brought in and had to be eaten in the entrance hall before I can go in or trash it) - very limited food choices and all very un-healthy with only 2 food trucks (one offering 4 asian meals and the other only snow-cone) I have read lots of reviews below recommending how to improve the overall customer experience. Let's hope the Wave will take them into account. read more

DO NOT take adult swim lessons here. They do not properly train the instructors. I don't think it's the instructor's fault, but that of The Wave's. For the amount I paid, I didn't get anything out of it ($124 for four 45 min classes for a nonresident). Fortunately, I can swim a little bit. So I used the time in the class to just practice. The other person in my class could not swim, and she too was very frustrated that she wasn't learning anything. I am now taking swim lessons elsewhere and have learned SO much in just the first three lessons! Go elsewhere for your adult swim lessons. I should have checked the reviews before signing up. I never write reviews, but I felt I had to for this. read more

We had a group of 26 people. 21 youth and 5 adults from 4-H. The kids had an absolute blast. They did water dancing, slides, water games. The food was wonderful and they overall had a relaxing time. The facility was clean and well organized. Making the reservation was easy and entering the park was easy. It was a good break from the vigorous schedule we sometimes make our kids follow. read more

Great place for ages 6-12. Much older kids might get bored easily. There's plenty of seating with limited shade. Not many healthy food options. But I'm pretty much used to theme parks not offering healthy alternatives to fried chicken and fries. And you can't bring food in . Bathrooms were clean and well attended too. There are about 5 smaller slides, a kids play area, and two really big pools. Overall, kids enjoyed the day. read more

An amazing waterpark. Was here yesterday and had a great time. Although I had to pay a pricey $15, I had an amazing experience. The park was so much fun and not only that, the staff were so helpful, especially the teens up in the fromt desk. They welcomed me with so much enthusiasm. Great for the kids. I recommend bringing family here. read more

We hosted a 9 year old birthday party and it was fantastic- grab the early time 11-2 on a Sunday- way to go. Organized, clean, service was on point and the kids had a wonderful time. Area 3 is great because it is shaded, with visibility to the water slides, and right next to a large grassy area which has games ( cornhole, etc.) and also indirectly extends your party space with various Adirondack chairs for use. The new operations management hired really has the staff on their A game. Appreciate! read more

I was a little leery of coming here based on reviews, but I must say I was pleasantly surprised. Very clean and well maintained. I felt it was a safe environment for the smaller kids. Loved the splash zone! The grass area offered a variety of lawns games for the kids a nice touch. Loved that the bigger water slides didn't end in a deeper pool. So I felt it safer for the younger kids. It was a disappointment that two of the big slides were down for maintenance. If they plan any expansions, I would love to see a splash zone area for the older kids as they seemed to love it as much as the little ones! We couldn't keep them out of there:) Another suggestion would be to eliminate the ropes on the splash zone. Not sure of the purpose..but it just screams "come swing" to every kid there! The lifeguards spend entirely too much time telling the kids not to swing on them. Also, I would provide more chairs. If you don't arrive early, your out of luck. The food appears to have improved. Hamburgers and hotdogs were a hit with the kids, and reasonably priced. However stay away from the nachos...arrived cold and bland. However the concession stand was wonderful about rectifying the problem. They need to switch to Que Bueno! I found all staff members were very friendly and helpful. The prices were reasonable and overall we had a wonderful day. We will definitely be back again! read more

I don't understand all the negative reviews, this place is a lot of fun! We brought our entire family here last week for the first time and I can't think of one negative about this place. Yes, it's not cheap but if you compare the pricing to other water parks, it is in fact very reasonable. C'mon folks you have to do apples to apples comparisons, the Wave is more than just a community pool! read more

Had a great time today. Kids loved it. It was a busy day, and people were at little put off that the sports pool was not open, but things happen. The indoor pool was a nice alternative, but my little one loved the splash zone. I would come back again, maybe a weekday when not everybody and their mother is there to get more of a community vibe. I saw staff trying to make all patrons as happy as they could and that says a lot. Some places brush you off and not take complaints or suggestions to heart. I saw the bathrooms tended to after some kids "dirtied" it up. It wasn't left for hours like some parks. All and all a good family day. read more

Came here on a Thursday, this is a great waterpark. I'm not sure what all the negative reviews are about. Maybe the bad reviews are authored by Dublin residents who don't want their local city waterpark being inundated with non-locals! It is clean, organized and lines are not long at all for slides. Plenty of seating and benches. I guess when it first opened and on a weekend it would be nuts here but there aren't an excessive amount of people here and it's perfect. No complaints... Food truck line took a long time though but that's to be expected. They let us bring in water bottles. Cool place during the week! People on Yelp are bitter, jaded and complain way too much about perfectly nice places. Entitled and spoiled 'first world' people with no tolerance for anything that isn't 100% perfect! read more

Horrible..! Food isn't allowed inside the facility but it takes almost an hour to order food inside. One of the guy working said the line is slow because the fries has to be dropped on the fryer first, no..! the cashier has to do everything..! She takes the order from customers then has to grab drinks, or ice creams for them. Then they ran out of most food items, one lady said the truck delivery broke down.... what..? No backups..? Theres hundreds of people trying to eat...!!! read more

This place is very unorganized and frankly just plain slow. It is only friendly for toddlers.

Best park ever! Kids had a blast and it was a great day to spend summer break relaxing with the children. Staff are very friendly also.

The park is very nice, and kid friendly, i'm gonna keep it 5 star but the food trucks are awful, even the burger truck suck. please allow some better food you do get hungry after a swim. The park outside of the water park is nice. way to go dublin...... but we really don't like wasting our money on poor quality food. How can a burger go bad. read more

Updating my previous review of 1 star for the lengthy 20+ minute wait for the family bathroom. After the wait, the park itself is enjoyable for the kids. The indoor 2ft pool was a definite highlight for the kids and family. The water slides are fun too, although it could be a good wait, even on an empty day. I would definitely avoid busy times like weekends. Overall, decent experience. Positives= Indoor Pool, water slids and the outdoor kids water park (1ft deep) Negatives= Wait time for slides, 2 family restrooms (lengthy wait) and pricing, read more

Took my kid to this place and we had fun. Place is clean but showering was limited. There are not enough chairs to sit. They did change rule to limit certain umbrella to bring in. Luckily we ate an hour before we came to the water park so we enjoy most of time in the water and not worry about eating. If you plan to eat at the park you are limited to the food trucks. There are plenty of lifeguards so we feel safe with kids in water. Overall we will come back. read more

It is a pretty good spot for a smaller water park. The kids splashing pool with little slides and water activates is where we spend most of the time. It's pretty clean for the most part but they need to send an employee around picking stuff up like people's used diapers that they leave laying on the ground. Also they need more help the snack bar like is completely ridiculous and since you cant being food of drinks in, they need to have more than 1 line to order. Couldn't even wait to order the line was so long standing there in the sun with my toddler. So overall it is ok. Livermore has one that I found way better for the money for younger kids at least. read more

Walking in I was already not impressed that I couldn't bring in my snacks for my daughter or water that's pretty silly. Then the price was way too much compared to other similar aquatics parks in the area. Which it should have been a sign that the rest of the park was empty on a weekend. The rules before even entering are just flat out too much. The staff was not very friendly after walking into the park seeing no seating or no where to even lay a blanket ...how is this accommodating or relaxing? On top of that having blaring loud music is not family friendly especially when you are trying to communicate with small kids over the noise of the water fun too. Even if there was seating ...the wooden patio chairs make no sense around a pool and looked uncomfortable. We decided to leave as soon as we saw there was no where to sit and the manager said there is a no refund policy! Which of course they don't care about customer satisfaction, you would seriously charge my family over $50 to walk in and out of your facility? Poor business guys. It wasn't until I said fine you will see me on Yelp that he finally gave us our money back. I feel sad that this is what Dublin decides to spend what I'm sure was millions to build something that will soon be out of business. I suggest new ownership and total makeover read more

Buying tickets online was complicated, the staff members didn't even know how to do it. The place is nice and clean, my two kids had a blast at the water park. Food truck i believe it's a good idea and the food was good. Bathrooms need more attention. Bathroom were a bit dirty and did not have toilet paper in any of the stalls. I know it's a new park and staff members will pay more attention to the problems they are occurring. I would still visit the park and hope they can improve the minor issues they are occurring in the future. I will update my review to a five star once they improve the bathrooms being clean and user friendly online purchase of tickets. read more

First time here today and it was super nice. The indoor pool is great- it only goes up to 4 ft so it's perfect for younger kids. The outdoor pool is huge &goes up to 7 ft 6in which is nice for the older kids or adults. There are a few water slides open (the two taller ones are shut down due to an accident that happened a month back). However, I'm not giving five stars due to high pricing (it costs $17 per person) and also for the showers in the bathrooms- they only stay on for about 5 seconds and you have to keep pressing the button. Which can be a hassle for someone with little kids or anyone in general who is just trying to shower. Overall, this park is cute & pleasant.. read more

It's silly that they do not allow chairs to be moved . Here I am sitting on a bench with no backrest for 3hours so that I can watch my kids enjoy the slides . I tried pulling up a chair to make my back more comfy but was told that it was not allowed. Weird!! After paying a fee and not getting into the water , the least I can expect is a chair to sit on !! read more

I will give them zero reviews if possible , they have very inexperienced staff. Every time you call them, the person answering has no knowledge and has to get someone else on phone for help. My daughter has been going there for a while year and has been struck at same level. I think they probably have inexperienced teachers too. The staff is always rude on phone. On top of that, they have no makeup classes at all, no loyalty program or anything. So if you child happens to be sick, they will charge you and not offer any makeup class , I picked this place coz it was closer to home. Once I am done with my paid sessions, I am taking my daughter out of this stupid unrealistic place. Kids get sick all the time and they should accommodate especially if someone is coming to the damn place for a year or ever since they opened. read more
