My dryer was taking forever to dry a load of clothes and I couldn't remember when I had last had the vent cleaned. A friend mentioned The Dryer Vent Tech, and sent me a photo of their business card. Their website made scheduling incredibly easy. I was able to,pick a time that worked for me and got a confirmation back that the appointment was accepted very quickly. Keith called when he was on his way, arriving at the promised time. He did a great job and cleaned out a bird nest and about a half pillow case of lint from the vent. He also found that the duct had been crushed in some previous work I had done...which was in 2007...so I then knew it had been over 16 years since I had had the vent cleaned! Yikes. He un-crunched the duct and that combined with the cleaning has my dryer working so much better! The $189 price for the second floor vent was a great deal. I will definitely have Keith come out again at the recommended 2-3 year intervals going forward rather than over 16 years! read more

I initially had a dryer vent cleaning scheduled by another company, but was told I had a bird's nest in there. I was told to contact animal control for removal. Well, after googling and Yelping companies I contacted a few that remove bird's nests. I left voicemail messages at a few different businesses including this company and never received a response. After a few days, I went back on this website and saw that I could just schedule an appointment, so I did. VERY CONVENIENT. Everything was fine from there! Received numerous appointment reminders and confirmations leading up to my scheduled day. Keith arrived as scheduled and immediately determined my dryer vent was nest free, and the birds were actually in a bathroom vent. He quickly cleaned the dryer vent, removed the nest from the bathroom vent, and put on a new cap. He offered a couple of tips for optimal dryer usage as well. I needed my dryer vent clean and discovered this was not a service available from just anyone. Through a Google search, I found The Dryer Vent Tech at www.thedryerventtech.com and knew immediately, by the beautifully candid business name, that I'd found what I needed. Scheduling the appointment was simple and seamless through online booking. Multiple text confirmations in the days that followed reminded me of the appointment and reassured me that my appointment would happen as scheduled. Keith, THE Dryer Vent Tech, called about 90 minutes before the appointment to say he was running ahead of schedule and could be to my condo early if ok with me. He arrived in a clearly marked vehicle, seemingly custom-designed to integrate the hosing, generator, and other equipment necessary for mobile dryer vent cleaning. Keith was friendly, personable, knowledgeable, and efficient. The full service took maybe an hour, if that. The cost of the service was the same as what I had agreed to upon making the appointment - there were no unexpected fees and no pressuring me to have costly services I didn't need. I had a subsequent dryer issue and was unsure whether it was related to the vent. Because the "Check Vent" light was coming on, I reached out to Keith after my service to see if he thought there might be something wrong in the vent. Standing behind his work, he returned to my condo a second time to confirm there were no problems. It turned out to be a dryer positioning and space issue - NOT related to the vent - and evenso, Keith was gracious enough to help me with it. I am very grateful for the outstanding and good-natured service that went above and beyond. I did not expect to be wowed by elegance in getting my dryer vent cleaned, but I have to say Keith's business is, in fact, elegantly straightforward and accessible. By all past reviews & service performed today...Keith is your one stop shop Vent Tech. Found out that my gas dryer vent was disconnected in our crawl space for who knows how long. It's been spewing carbon monoxide fumes & lint into that space for sometime. He cleaned our existing vent which is a run of about 20ft from a replaced vent elbow that was replaced. He also added a new metal vent cap to the outside. He was extremely helpful with so many other questions & situations in this area. He also took his shoes off when he came in the house each time. Terrible experience. Didn't seem interested at all in scheduling an appointment. Then directed me to his website that was non-existent. Seemed extremely shady. Then when I returned to Yelp to share my experience, the glowing review that caused me to contact him in the first place had been taken down by Yelp. Glad it never got far enough for him to know my address. read more
