I really liked all the information we were given and the cost wasn't too bad, so we picked The Driving Professors. First, Jon in the office is amazing. He has been beyond helpful during this past year. We had tons of questions (including a rescheduled dmv test and an expiring permit due to COVID). After putting it off for so long, I finally studied and practiced for the written and driving tests, and I now have my license! And I have The Driving Professors--specifically, Professor Randy--to thank for instructing me and helping me get to where I am. I first heard of The Driving Professors from my dad, and after looking through their website and their Facebook (where they have so many positive reviews), I decided to trust them with teaching me to drive well and to drive safely. Each of the professors sound very capable, knowledgeable, and experienced in what they do, but I went with Professor Randy as my instructor. Reading all the positive reviews he received (on Facebook) and knowing that many of his students passed their driving tests (with high scores, too!), I was confident that I could do well on the test. After having lessons with him, though, I know that I will not only be able to drive with a license, but that I have the knowledge to drive safely, for myself and for others. Starting this whole license journey, I felt like it would be a long time before I could actually drive. I spent 5 hours on our first lesson with Randy from the Driving Professors with my 15 year old son. More on subsequent lessons. I just called to get on the schedule. The man that answered the phone answered with a "hello" not The Driving Professors, can I help you. Then I was told that he answered my call as a courtesy that he doesn't answer unidentified or blocked numbers and to call from an unblocked number in the future. First of all the is NOT the way to get anyone's business. It shouldn't matter where you call from and if you don't answer calls from unidentified numbers then you shouldn't have answered the phone. I told him that I was calling from work and that I had no control over what showed up on his phone. Then he proceeded to tell me they are 5 weeks out...no thank you. 4 years ago our oldest went through The Driving Professors with Randy and the experience couldn't have been any smoother. We used them again for our other son and again it went well. This time we had Walt and Linda as his driving instructor and they were both awesome. We had to reschedule one of his last lessons and they worked with our schedule to get it done just in time for his driving test. Jonathan always got back to me and answered all my questions. Could not be more pleased with Randy and The Driving Professors. After using a different company for my 2 older children, I went researching online to find a better instructor. Boy, did we hit the jackpot with Randy. He is willing to spend the time and really teach your kids all that they need to know to be safe drivers. The lesson went long, because "he wasn't done teaching yet" and did not charge us more. He wasn't going to stop until my son had learned what he needed to learn in that lesson. After searching the internet for all the driving schools nearby and comparing costs and what they offer, I've come to the conclusion that The Driving Professors is a hidden treasure! Their basic program includes what some other programs charge extra for (downtown, freeway driving, and defensive driving lesson). They are flexible and don't require a contract; you can pay for each lesson as you go, so there was no risk. We chose Randy and have been extremely satisfied so far! Two things very important in my decision were 1) that defensive driving is an integral part of every lesson (not just one lesson that you pay extra for like other schools), and 2) they strongly encourage a parent to go on the driving lesson for consistency and to help reinforce what is being taught. Randy feels like family; he cares about my two boys becoming safe drivers, not just about them passing the DMV tests. They both enjoy the lessons and can't wait for their next ones! read more

Tracy is the most kindhearted, gentle, person in the universe! I wasn't supposed to get my license before my permit expired, but Tracy made the impossible happen. On day one I was so nervous, but I trusted her in that she wouldn't let me screw up. With that, she guided me through every turn and every intersection. Trusting her was a huge part of my success as you cannot learn to drive on the road without driving on the road. Today I passed my driving test, 30 days after touching a wheel for the first time missing only 2 points! If you are an anxious person, Tracy is amazing. She doesn't get mad at you for screwing up--unless you really screw up haha-- but overall is so encouraging. Every second I spent in the car was so much fun. I am grateful she let me embark on roads no other instructor would've let me try conquering on my first lesson. This is a terrible school. They expect you to know everything before you start driving with them and when you make a mistake they blow up on you. They talk a lot of trash about their students especially to other students. They don't teach you or guide you through the rules of the road. All they do is sit their and grade you on your failures. Don't take this school because all you are going to get out of it is a shaken self esteem. read more
