Passed the driving test first try and this was all due to my instructor Daniel Tran. He was always on time and was really nice and helpful throughout my lessons. He always gave good feedback on what I need to improve. On the day of my exam (also my last lesson) Robert Logan was my instructor. He was also really good as well; he gave last minute feedback which definetly helped me pass my test and he helped boost my confidence as well. read more

Originally I couldn't get ahold of anyone when calling, I've tried multiple time at different times and days, NOTHING. Maybe I'm "old" lol but I just like to speak with someone about a services. I was able to get ahold of someone via email that was helpful and was able to Schedule appointment. The options Pay per appointment for the program you select or in full. They provide name and the vechile my student would drive. Did a confirmation text the day before my direct payment link, Eric was informative on pick up and comforting. Paid in full and Failed to perform training. I wish I could give zero stars. I paid in full for behind-the-wheel training for my son and received only one lesson. Despite numerous follow-up emails, the owner has gone completely silent and refuses to issue a refund for the services not provided. Multiple people I know had recommended Referral Driving School and praised their high success rate, so I reached out in early March 2026 for training. On March 12, owner Brian emailed me the pricing: a single session for $109 or a discounted 5-class package for a one-time payment of $495. The email clearly stated that choosing the package option would confirm the appointments. I went with the 5-class package and paid the full $495. Brian scheduled our first lesson for March 18 at 5:30pm. He showed up 30 minutes late but delivered a solid training session and said my son was already progressing well. The next day I emailed to schedule the second lesson. On March 20, Brian replied that he also works in Las Vegas and would get back to me soon to reschedule. On March 23 he said he was still out of town but would schedule the next session shortly. That was the last I ever heard from him. I followed up repeatedly on April 1, April 17, April 29, and again today (May 5) requesting a refund for the four unused sessions. No replies, no calls returned, no refund. Nothing. This is unacceptable. I paid for a service in good faith based on their own pricing and confirmation, and they have essentially taken the money and disappeared. If you're considering this driving school, do yourself a favor and only pay for one lesson at a time. Do not prepay for a package. I'm posting this review in hopes that Referral Driving School will finally do the right thing and refund the $396 I'm owed for services not rendered. Prospective customers deserve better. read more

If you're looking for a driving instructor for your teen, I highly recommend Eric Lopez with Referral Driving School. Eric did an excellent job teaching my son MJ. Eric is patient, kind, knowledgeable, and thorough in his instruction. After each session, he provided helpful homework and practice assignments to reinforce the skills MJ learned behind the wheel. One thing I especially appreciated was the encouragement and care he showed throughout the process. He even took a moment to pray with MJ before each lesson and again after his final session. Eric is also very responsive to texts, and always updated me via text regarding his arrival times for lessons. His professionalism, dedication, and genuine investment in his students made the experience a positive one for our family. We are very grateful for his guidance and highly recommend him to other parents and teen drivers. read more

Would NOT recommend. Company would not refund my money after one appointment. Very shady company to deal with, you won't be able to reach anyone by phone, you'll just get their voice mail and no-name emails. Their business plan seems to stretch out your 5 appointments over 5-6 months, hoping you'll cancel early. There are much better schools out there to deal with as I found out the hard way. Horrible experience! read more

I highly recommend hiring Stephan! We had originally hired a different behind-the-wheel instructor and were disappointed with the lack of experience and support he provided. Then we found Stephan -- and what a difference! I hired him to go over the DMV route and train my daughter as if she were actually taking the test. I booked an additional appointment with Referral Driving School. Stephan not only provides excellent behind-the-wheel instruction, but also offers a wide range of support and guidance that goes far beyond basic training. If you haven't found the right person to help your child learn to drive, hire Stephan -- you won't regret it! read more

I was able to easily schedule an appointment for my daughter through email. however, on the day that she was supposed to be picked up for her first driving lesson, the instructor didn't show up. We weren't notified at all, so I called the office a few times that day. Nobody answered. I left a voicemail and also followed up with an email asking them to call me on Monday. They responded to my email saying they didn't know what happened and that they would give me a call. No one has called. No one has emailed. I've gotten no response and have been completely unable to reach anyone. This company has been disrespectful of our time and very unprofessional. Save your time and money. read more

My son just passed his driver's test on his first try, and a huge reason for that success was the excellent training he received through Referral Driving School. From start to finish, the experience was smooth, professional, and confidence-building. Special shoutout to Eric Lopez, who was an incredible instructor--patient, knowledgeable, and encouraging. He helped my son feel comfortable behind the wheel while building strong driving habits that clearly paid off on test day. I highly recommend Referral Driving School to any parent looking for quality instruction and supportive teachers. Thank you for helping my son reach this milestone! read more

My daughter just passed her driving test! Referral was so easy to work with. Responsive and super communicative. I was always kept in the loop and I never had to worry about anything. Our instructor, Omar, was amazing to work with. He corrected my daughter on some of her bad habits and was able to pin point some of her issues. Highly recommend Omar if you want your teen to pass their driving test! I love his breakdown after each instruction to ensure his students know what to work on. read more

Initially, my daughter started with a different instructor and felt incredibly uncomfortable with her. We ended up switching to Omar, and complete 180. My daughter gained more confidence and improved faster than she had with the previous instructor. Omar was incredibly patient, and so helpful especially on the day my daughter took her test, as the instructors last lesson is to the exam. He had breathing exercises for her, and took her on the route one more time. He sent me a video and updates up to the point of telling me she passed on the first try! I want to give a huge thanks to Omar, and give my 100% recommendation. read more

Omar was very patient and encouraging. Our son had a great experience and passed his test on the first attempt.

Eric came highly recommended to us for my son's driving lessons! He was the instructor for three of my son's best friends who all loved Eric's teaching style - direct and patient! Eric provided written feedback for every lesson - what Aydden did well and what he needed to work on! His car was cool too - mini cooper! My son today passed his DMV test! We appreciated Eric's business and highly recommend him! read more

My daughter had her first lesson with Eric and really enjoyed his energy. She said he made her feel at ease and that the car they drove was clean and easy to maneuver. I researched a few schools and my older two children have taken lessons before. I appreciate the different price options and it was easy to book our first lesson. Waiting to book our next ones and hope to write a follow up! read more

My twins just completed the driving course through Referral Driving School. Omar helped them feel comfortable and confident behind the wheel. He patiently taught them all the skills necessary to stay safe on the road. Having the option of letting Omar take them to the dmv on test day was also great. From start to finish the experience with Referral Driving School was outstanding. Our first lesson got off to a rocky start due to an illness with the instructor, but the owner handled the situation very well. We were then assigned Stephen for the duration of our lessons. Omar for the win!!!! He was my son's instructor, who started the lessons as soon as he turned 15 1/2. Omar was very communicative with us on how our son was progressing. Every lesson finished with tips and advice from Omar. We got a detailed written plan each time, showing us what he needed to work on between lessons. Omar took my son to his driving test and a practice drive beforehand. Omar spent the time we were waiting quizzing my son on the things he had to know for his test. My son passed with flying colors! We are grateful for Referral Driving School and Omar! I highly Recommend them! read more

Our instructor was Stephen and he was really great! He knew the content well as he used to be a driving test examiner at the DMV. He was calm and even set up a lesson at night for us when we expressed concerns about our daughter's night time driving. On the day of the test he brought her on the driving route right before the test so she would be familiar with the roads and intersections. She passed and we are so grateful for his excellent instruction! read more

We had a great experience with RDS for my twins who just got their licenses. We did the package with the online course + behind the wheel instruction. Eric Lopez was an amazing driving instructor! They both felt confident going into their test (with just the appropriate amout of nerves haha). But they were well prepared and bith passed their first try! Eric was calm, cool and a great teacher. He took them to the DMV (part of the package we purchased) and knew exactly what to do there, which made my job easy - just to show up to take the after pictures :) Highly recommend! read more

Omar, the instructor was amazing! Professional, kind, caring, knowledgeable and skilled in teaching. We chose the option of having Omar schedule and take him to the DMV test in their car. So easy! We welcomed our new driver home. read more

Stephen helped me overcome my fears about driving and get my license- I cannot recommend him enough! I put off getting my license well into adulthood for a variety of reasons, but by the time I decided to learn how to drive this summer, I had quite a bit of anxiety about the whole prospect. Stephen was really calm and clear, giving me specific corrections and tips without overloading me, which really helped me develop skills behind the wheel and internalize the rules of the road. Even when I would make a mistake--say, swerve while head checking--he would chalk it up to the learning process and never made me feel bad about it (while also being on-guard in case he needed to take over the wheel, of course!). His instruction was really thorough and supportive. I had practiced driving with someone else but without the 3 2-hour lessons I took with Stephen there is no chance I would have passed because he drew my attention to mistakes I was making that I had been completely unaware of! I highly recommend booking him for driving lessons and am SO glad I did! You can reach out directly to Stephen for lessons, too, at 916-271-3986 read more

Our daughter had a great experience with Karam (Omar) Ghamian. He was calm, skillful, and confident throughout each lesson, which really helped our daughter feel at ease behind the wheel. I truly appreciated his supportive approach and would highly recommend him to anyone learning to drive. Our daughter passed her driving test on the first try. We have Omar to thank! read more

Our neighbor recommended Referral Driving School and specifically Daniel Tran. I can't say enough great things about Daniel. He was patient and kind and made the experience comfortable for all of us. Daniel was always on-time and I loved that the day before he would always call to confirm. You can choose to ride in the car or not for lessons. Daniel always gave us a debrief on what to work on after each lesson. I strongly recommend getting the five lesson package and use their car on the test. By the end our son passed on his first try. The only downside was that Daniel is a very popular trainer and my son had to wait a month after passing his written test to get him. This added an extra month past his 16th birthday before taking the driving test. For us it was well worth the wait, but you might want to check the timeframe of getting your child's license if you are trying to get it fast. read more
