At first everything was going well with Steven as my daughter's driving instructor. The instructor…read morewas abruptly changed to an older woman on my daughter last scheduled session.this was supposed to be the first lesson on the freeway and she was excited about completing her sessions. First thing that went wrong was the instructor contacted me the day of our appointment which was scheduled over a week in advance, and she requested that I leave work early so the session could take place a 2 instead of the original time of 3:30. I obliged just to be nice. I drove from Stockton to Sacramento at the meeting spot. She ended my daughters lesson 30 minutes early and never took her on the freeway, I immediately called her and asked why, she claimed that there was too much traffic but she insured me that my daughter drove safely and "beautifully" . I hung up and called the office to speak with the owner who was very unprofessional by suggesting I wasn't telling the full story and said he would offer another 30 minutes as a courtesy. After speaking with him then my daughter, I learned that not only did the instructor not take me daughter on the freeway but she also took a call and discussed rushing to meet her friend for plans that they had. My daughter was ripped off from what should have been a great ending to her training program all because the instructor wanted to rush back to her personal life and I'm upset because this isn't fair.no one has called me back even tho I was promised a follow up. I would not use this company or recommend it

I would NOT recommend NorCal Driving School to anyone. This has been one of the most frustrating…read moreand unprofessional experiences I've ever had with a business. I spent around $500 expecting decent customer service and a driving lesson experience that was actually worth my money, and instead, I was met with unhelpful staff, poor communication, and an absolute refusal to give me a refund. I was not properly reminded of or made aware of the meetup location for my lesson. Instead of receiving helpful communication or anyone making an effort to resolve the situation, I felt like I was being blamed for something that should have been communicated clearly in the first place. Apparently, customer service is optional when they already have your money. What makes this even more ridiculous is that my friend recommended this school to me, and she received HOME PICKUP for her lessons. We literally live FIVE MINUTES AWAY, yet somehow I wasn't offered the same service. When I brought this up, the woman had the audacity to tell me that she didn't do lessons that way. Excuse me? How are you going to tell me what my friend did or didn't receive? Were you there? Are you her? If another student received home pickup, then it is completely reasonable for me to ask why my experience was different. And the cherry on top? After being unhelpful during an already frustrating situation, this grown woman decided to email my MOM to complain about my supposedly "unacceptable behavior." Seriously? Instead of handling a frustrated customer professionally and trying to resolve the actual problem, you decided to turn it into a personal complaint to their parent? Maybe focus less on complaining about a customer's reaction and more on figuring out why your customer service is so disappointing. I understand that businesses have policies, but refusing to work with a customer, failing to communicate clearly, and then refusing to issue a refund is absolutely ridiculous. I paid around $500 and did not even receive the experience or service I expected. I was left feeling like my money was taken for nothing. Save your money and look elsewhere. I regret choosing this school, especially because I trusted a friend's recommendation. The lack of communication, inconsistent service, unhelpful staff, and the way this situation was handled have completely ruined my opinion of this business. If this is how they treat customers when something goes wrong, I cannot recommend them to anyone.
