It was calming, healing, and uplifting all at once...the kind of experience that stays with you. I still think about this spa ALL the time. If you need some quiet time to yourself, go. If life has been feeling stressful, go. If you're looking for support with respiratory issues or skin concerns, go. It's such a peaceful place to relax, reset, and take care of yourself. There's something special about salt therapy. Salt is essential to the body, and many people find it incredibly soothing and restorative. The salt room gave me the chance to slow down, breathe deeply, and just be present. The owner was so kind and welcoming. At one point, I needed to step out of the salt room for a bottle of water, and they were incredibly thoughtful and accommodating. I felt comfortable and cared for the entire time. The salt was definitely doing its job--I must have had something that needed clearing out because I felt so much better afterward. Maybe it was my throat chakra. The spa is located in a charming old home that adds so much character to the experience. In the front, they offer natural soaps, room sprays, cleaning products, jewelry, and other lovely items that make great gifts or little treats for yourself. I've since moved away from the area, but I still think about this place often. I can't wait to come back and visit again. It's truly a special little gem.

I love that in the children's room we can all benefit without having to pay a fortune (one adult per child). The children's room was nice for the fact that it had lots of interactive toys. My 1-year-old didn't like the salt at first, but thankfully they provided mats so he was able to enjoy himself more and eventually got use to the salt and started walking around. It was nice that us, parents, had two chairs that reclined slightly with foot rests. The ONLY reason why I knocked down a star is due to the fact of how powdery it is. I wasn't prepared for that at all, and I wasn't warned about it. I think as a first timer with kids it would have been nice to have a heads up -- I would have brought a change of clothes to avoid having salty car seats. I'm not sure if all salt rooms have that type of powdery salt in their establishment, so I cannot compare. Overall, it was nice! I think my 1-year-old definitely had a change since our session. We will definitely be coming back.

This place is beautiful. When I walked into the second floor and saw the built-in pool ahead of me, my mind was blown. I don't think I've experienced a two-story building with a built-in pool on the second floor like this one. I'm definitely going back for an event that involves this beautiful pool. There are many different rooms each with its own them. Crystals, buddha, salt room, meditation, yoga, massage, and so much more. As soon as I entered this establishment I felt relaxed...instantly. I came here for a workshop on cultivating feminine friendships which was amazing. I was honored to be able to sell my books and have a book signing as well after this workshop was over. So blessed. Namaste I will definitely be back here for the simple fact that I was surrounded by peacefulness, gratitude, light, love and so many amazing women. You must check this place of zen out.

While I discovered what it did for asthma I also learned of a slew of other benefits it provided for anyone else wanting to improve their health. After my very first visit I was sold and therefore brought my entire family along. Recently, I came across a Groupon deal that offered one salt room session for a very reasonable price. I bought it so that I could get a feel for the place. Making the appointment was super easy. I made it for 2 pm in the afternoon. I arrived early to fill out paperwork. I spent 45 minutes in the salt room, just me alone. It was great. It's 45 minutes of peace while inhaling salt that is penetrating your nostrils, throat, lungs, and entire body. The concept of the Salt box is dry salt therapy. They have an adult salt therapy room(this is where the the kindermusik class is), a kid's salt therapy room, and a private salt bed. The adult salt room is like no other. It has Himalayan pink salt tiles, pink salt on the walls and I do believe salt is infused into the room during the class as I can see salt collecting on the floor. Dry salt therapy is not known at this time to be harmful to children or adults and there are a multitude of benefits. Dry salt therapy is said to improve lung function ( breathing, alleviate colds etc), has anti-inflammatory properties ( a fellow nurse swears by it for his psoriasis) and even improve sleep patterns. I'm not sure of the validity of these claims but saline is used for a lot of things in the hospital! The kids salt room is set up very inviting for children. The entire floor is Himalayan pink salt! There are large lounge chairs for the parents to relax and watch their children play with the dozens of toys, kitchens and books they have. Kids get to play and benefit from salt therapy! Prices for regular sessions are not cheap but if you can benefit from the therapy it is well worth it! I will be back for more music and salt therapy for sure!

The employee at the front desk was very friendly and efficient. She gave me a tour of the facility and described the experience I would have. She gave me a locker key so I could store my purse. She also gave me booties to cover up my shoes and a Ziploc baggie to put my phone in. They recommend you wear light clothes, I think this is because you get a slight coating of salt. The salt room had six recliners but I was the only one there during my appointment time. There is another room that accommodates children. The 45 minutes was very relaxing, and when I exited I could taste salt on my lips. I do feel some of my congestion was relieved. The salt is a natural expectorant and can kill some bacteria.
