The gentleman quoted me $1,695 in labor, as all the parts would be reused just refitted. I left work early, drove down there, disassembled, cleaned, and refitted them myself in 45 minutes. Duke came out inspected and turned the gas on. $1,695 for 45 minutes of work is disgraceful. You are taking advantage of people. I will be watching and reporting if you try to take my review down.

Customer service was absolutely fantastic and Tyler W. was accommodating and gave us clear explanations as to what was wrong. We received a text message with a picture of the employees so we knew who to expect and what they looked like. Arlinghaus has to send another worker out to discuss prices on a new furnace. Tyler was able to get our furnace working temporarily as we look into buying a new furnace. It cost $89 for him to come out and diagnose the problem. They will remove this from any extra work they may need to do. Unfortunately, in the end we could not afford even the lowest option they had for a furnace. They use a top furnace line brand and are more expensive then the national average. This was the only draw back for me that it was to expensive and I did not want to enter into a loan for a $7,000 furnace when the average homeowners pay is $3100. Regardless, they were transparent and did not pressure me into anything we didn't want to do. I highly recommend Arlinghaus for their professionalism and honesty with their customers.

I was charge $1400 to have my sump pump replaced (a 20 min job). When the technician was at my…read morehouse he mentioned the total charge as I had not received a quote from the company. I commented that $1400 seemed pretty high. He pulled up the cost of the sump pump on his device. The sump pump the technician installed was $350. He said that if I provided my own pump I would be charged $600 to have them come out and install it. So, my question was, what are the additional $450 for? I am ok paying it, if I know what I'm paying for, but the information from the technician just wasn't adding up to the full charge. I reached out to Five Star to ask for an invoice. It came with a one line summary of the total cost of the work. I asked if they could please send an itemized invoice and explained the reasons I just mentioned above. After a bit of insisting, they forwarded my request to the manager. This was his response: ---- Hi Veronica My name is Garrett and I am reaching out to you regarding a sump pump we did for you on Sunday. I understand there was some confusion about the charges, I am here to help! So as far as a full breakdown goes, We pay around $350 -$400 for the sump pumps, and labor comes in right around $600. The remainder of the charge goes towards our 1 year workmanship warranty, administrative tasks such as tracking, scheduling and being a support system here for you if anything were to happen with it. We stand behind our work 100%. All of our pricing is flat rate, so breaking it down can be challenging in the sense of the charge does not change if we ended up taking longer to install the pump for you. We do it this way for the customer experience, as some plumbing companies do charge per half hour or hour, and can exploit the consumer by 'taking their time' so to speak to run up the bill. We always try to be transparent with our pricing, and just know that we are here to stand behind the workmanship and product we installed for you. I had an upstairs shower leaking water that was dripping into the family room. I was expecting the…read moreworst. I reached out to 3 plumbing companies referred to me by friends, but they could not get to me until the afternoon. I wanted someone sooner. I went to Yelp and found Bruce. I've been burned in the past, so I really wanted someone referred. After reading all the 5 star reviews and not one bad, I thought I would take a chance. Bruce answered. He was on a morning job but said he would finish by 11:45am and could be at my home by 12:30pm. My expectations were high after reading the reviews, which usually means I would likely be a little disappointed at best. Was I ever wrong! Bruce arrived early at 12:15pm. He introduced himself and said he would do some discovery work . I showed him the bathroom, and he went to work. I was thinking he would have to cut into the opposite wall, but after a little while, he found the problem. It was a bad valve that turned the water on. He did not have that specific valve in his truck, so he ran to the plumbers supply and got one. He got it installed, cleaned up, and wrote me an invoice for a very fair price. He checked the boxes mentioned in the reviews and exceeded my expectations. I have added Bruce to my contacts, and he is now my go-to plumber. He should be your also. He is the real deal. Fair, honest, and a great family man with a great heart and sense of humor. Like me, you will be glad you called him.
