We could hear every foot step above us as the floors are creaky. They offer coffee in the lobby so I went to get some. Unfortunately the doors were still locked at 7:01am, not sure what time they open. Went back again around 7:20, one door was unlocked but the coffee wasn't finished brewing. We just left to find a place to buy coffee.

The owner was very nice and accommodating, when we checked in. Once in the room, we discovered his housekeeping staff needs to pay more attention to detail. So one of the queen beds was missing a fitted sheet, leaving the cover to sleep on (no thank you). Luckily we used the other one. There was a very dirty bath towel, complete with a ball of hair, hanging from the bathroom door. The floors were dirty with small chunks and splinters of wood, so it had not been vacuumed. Lastly, the window with no screen was left open, so it took a while to warm up. The bed and pillows were comfortable enough and it served its purpose for tired travelers, but some attention to basic details would definitely up the star rating for the Copper Stay.

This motel was recommended by a sweet woman by the name of Lisa. Lisa is a known person in tombstone and so everyone knows her. I went on one of her tours, and my father and i wanted to stay the night since the gift shops and stuff were all closed when we arrived. (5:58pm) Her tour talks about the history of tombstone, I definitely recommend taking her tours ! $20 for a person each, $10 for children. Anywho, We had asked Lisa any recommendations to stay the night here, and the first thing she said was The Larian. Like I said, I do NOT go to motels whatsoever. A lot of them are not clean, there's bed bugs, and it's just chaos. Not here. When i check for bed bugs or even just bugs in general- I look. There was nothing. Not one single bug (Except for the little stinkers from outside that found their way in.) behind the bed, there's a bug trap. I don't know if that's normal, but When I saw that, I Knew I was good. There's working ac, and even though i didn't get a good pic of the room, it was colorful and had character. even the shower was neat! In conclusion, this place is awesome ! Its location is superb, within walking distance of good restaurants and major tourist attractions. The bed was extremely comfortable, better than at a high-priced hotel we visited later in our trip. I liked our room's high ceilings. The motel's decor is very 1980's but very clean and comfortable. Our room had a refrigerator and a microwave; my sister-in-law had a fridge but no microwave. We had a wall-mounted clothes rack, my sister-in-law may have had a closet. Our room was farther from the road and very quiet; my sister-in-law was closer to the road and had some noise. Each room has two wood rocking chairs outside the door, under a large overhang offering sun and rain protection. The people sitting outside are friendly. Our room had a comfortable sofa with a movable floor lamp. We had a nightstand with a good reading light on one side of the bed. I don't know whether we could have moved the floor lamp over to the other side of the bed. The motel is close to downtown Tombstone and these major attractions to which we walked: the Courthouse Museum, the Bird Cage Theatre (museum), the Rose Tree Museum, the Crystal Palace bar, Big Nose Kate's Saloon, the Longhorn restaurant, Undertaker's Coffee, Cowboy Coffee Bar, gunfights on Allen St, carriage rides on Allen St., various shops, etc. Here are some places farther away that we would probably have needed to drive to. Boothill Cemetery is one of them.

This room has far exceeded our expectations. We are enjoying our little getaway and can't wait to sit on our big private balcony tonight to enjoy a few drinks.
