Had my sister in law call the lady that manages the place to see if there was a home (cottage) available for rent and she said there was even showed them the cottage that was available...she did ask that they come back because it was still being worked on. After giving her some time, my brother in law went up there to meet and greet her and talk a little more about the place that was available. The manager said once they had money they would be able to move in. Waited a few weeks and went back up to the cottage on a Friday and right away she came out of her home in her robe and frantically said it was a bad time, that it was her birthday and she was going out. She had no interest in talking about anything other than it was her day and to come back next week. We waited over the weekend and went back on a Monday where she was working on cleaning one of vacation rentals. She sent us away saying that her cleaning the vacation home was more important than talking with a potential renter and that she wouldn't be pushed into anything and to come back. With frustration at this point from everyone, my sister in law wanted her to be up front and said if you don't want to rent to us say so, that way we may look some where else. The manager replied in a very snotty tone said maybe you should look else where but then she calmed down and said come back tomorrow. We Went back on Tuesday (the very next day) as she asked and instead of worrying about renting out the place and listening to what anyone had to say, she was more worried about how many cars would be parked in the area (at the time of wanting to rent there was NO car and only one person possesses a driver's license) she was to concerned about the travling my sister in law does when she goes to work in Phoneix and also to concerned about her husband who works in Tombstone how he would get to work. She kept mentioning, since he didn't have a car how would he get to work. He replied to her that he could walk, that he loves walking that when he lived in Phoenix that all he did was walk and that his place of employment wasn't that far. But that wasn't enough to ease her nosey concerns. She was also concerned about their children wanting cars and having friends over when their children don't know anyone in the area since they were new to Tombstone nor do any of them possess a driver's license to go anywhere and that it would probably be a long while before they got all these material things. They are very young adults but they are very quiet and do not cause problems. It was explained that their older one would get a job and get her own place, that the middle child would move to another state after they got settled in after some time and that the younger one would probably stay with them for a while. I feel this so called manager was very unprofessional, she showed age discrimination towards the young adults making her assumptions without meeting them and without listening to what anyone had to say. She continued repeating herself but wasn't very good at listening. As a manager she shouldn't be such a busy body and worring about how someone is gonna get to work and worry so much about things that are irrelevant to renting a place. She should learn to be a better manager with better customer service skills and social interaction skills. She shouldn't give potential tenants the run around and high hope on getting a place to rent if she had no intentions on doing so. This manager also had a lot to say about the other tentents who live at the cottages. She mentioned how she was fighting about certain issues with the tenants and how one tenant should have passed away a year ago but hadnt and seemed irritated by the fact he was still alive. She used those people as another reason why she wouldn't rent the cottage out. Again saying things that are irrelevant to renting to them.....If anyone knows who to call to make a complaint on the manager at these cottages please comment below or message me privately. I was told the people live in California but that's all the information I have. Would I recommend this place. Absolutely not! read more
