There are multiple mausoleums, a main office and grounds office that typically have staff available 7 days a week to help you, and a full blown catholic church with a daily mass. The bathrooms are not that easy to find, typically tucked away in the middle of one of the mausoleum buildings with little signage, but once you find them, they are clean and the vintage fixtures are all working. I even saw one with one of those old toilet tanks up high on the wall like in The Godfather where they hide the gun. There are multiple sections, mostly by the date of burial, but the coolest part of this Cemetery are the really old, gothic graves with tall headstones, and sculptures. There are even freestanding private mausoleums for very rich families. It truly is a historic place. I am happy that the employees are so helpful and considerate. We had trouble getting the urn out of the ground because so much time had passed and the dirt had locked it in place. The guy from the office radio-ed a grounds keeper who came right over to the plot and pried it out with his shovel. Definitely saved our sore fingers. We had no chance of getting that one out by ourselves. Above and beyond! Thank you! *Please show respect to the dead and the family that gather here if you are just there to look around and not visit a grave. Speak quietly. Be discreet with photo taking and you know, just read the room and don't be a jerk.

When I was 8 year's old back in 1996 not yet 9 year's old. I wasn't as aware to the importance of…read moredying and honoring the death of one. At this age, I thought about my own past priorities never being late to school, being a friend protector, and other things that young mind's think of when they're young and their mind is still fresh. My grandmother use to walk me or drive me to school. She started driving me to school when her feet started swelling up really bad. In an unexpected panic myself worrying about being late to school didn't think of the thought of my grandmother's fall at the front screen door pulling the front screen door with her as she fell to the floor. She got up and walked to the bedroom where I sleep now. She laid in the bunk bed's that we had at the time when there was 7 of us living in a two bedroom house sharing one bathroom. I remember her trying to die at home. My grandfather was born in the 1800's when the western dirt road's and train track's existed. He spoke pure Spanish but actually understood English. He would mumble to me jokes in Spanish and he would laugh at me when I would try to understand and repeat what ever he said in Spanish. Although, I never caught on to learning his Spanish. My father came from a family of seven learning how to survive for himself while his father was a doctor. He went to school to learn Electronics, worked at several airplane companies, joined the military and made it a career for 22 year's, and worked at another aerospace company for 20 year's just before getting sick. His father had been a doctor during the Holocaust. His father had to use his doctoring knowledge to prevent himself from being taken to the gas chambers. He befriended the Germans and was lucky. He saw when the families were being separated and forced into the gas chambers. I would have to say that I'm half like my father more for thinking of the most important priorities to be done first. I learned what it's like to have to save money when money is tight and doesn't seem right. I think that I would be a good provider and a trustworthy person having experienced and seeing a lot while I was growing up. I started attending Resurrection Cemetery in Rosemead when I was in my early twenties traveling on the Montebello 40 bus that would leave me in front of the Montebello Mall, then I would take the Montebello 70 bus that would leave me off right by the cemetery. I didn't have the best equipment at the time, nor did I have the money to really buy the flower's. So, I would attend to the grave yard with what I had to clean around the graves of my grandma, grandfather, and now since for four year's now my father. I had to organize a routine that would help me finish a grave faster. After I would finish. I would just sit on the grass for a real long time in deep thought. I have developed my own set-up of decor to leave at each grave and never come back for it, some skill's, a routine that work's, and my own assortment of tool's through out the year's that I have been attending the cemetery for my three loved one's. I love going to the cemetery and having the feeling of peace with myself. But, what I don't appreciate is the desecration of my three loved one's head stone's that were never scratched until now . Please grave yard maintenance worker's. Please be more mindful to our dead loved one's grave head stones. You would not want the same for your loved one's. A second would be some of the security guard's that act more superior than their pay grade and power. Would it kill you to show us some courtesy and respect. Some of you will walk up to me because I look more masculine than anything though I'm 100% by birth female not by transformation and tell me that I need to leave. You will threaten me like ICE threatens immigrants. And, the third would be to the visiter's like myself that attend the cemetery caring these big lawn chairs, big ice chests, and have children that they can't control running around the grave yard like a park. I have a deep appreciation for all the loved one's buried any where and everywhere. Be mindful when laying your gear out to make camp at your loved one's grave. Try not to step on grave stones as well place unnecessarily item's on other loved ones grave stones to use as a table. I enjoyed my day on Saturday, 05/16/2026 when I came to the cemetery and the cemetery was fairly filled. The cool afternoon air felt exuberant. I was able to tend all three graves fast enough to still have time to take in the beauty and time to have a moment with each of my loved one's.

Forrest lawn gets a hand of applause for have this option available on-line including a map of their grounds. If it's such a bother please add this feature for people to use. I bet if we would've inquired about purchasing property their tune would've probably changed. So sad esp since this is a Catholic Cemetery. Do better Resurrection Cemetery & actually help those who walk into the office seeking assistance!!

Our family is deeply grateful for the compassion, professionalism, and support we received from Guerra & Gutierrez Mortuary during my mother's funeral services. From the very beginning, the staff was kind, patient, and attentive to our family's needs. Jessica was an exceptional communicator and handled the arrangements for my mother's services with care and clarity. She served as a wonderful liaison between the church and the cemetery and even went above and beyond by helping request a specific priest to officiate my mother's Mass, which meant so much to our family. On the evening of the services, a few unexpected challenges arose, including issues with our memorial video. Norbet, the funeral director assisting us that night, stepped in immediately with genuine compassion. He went as far as calling in IT support at the last minute to ensure everything was resolved. Because of his dedication, we were able to honor and celebrate my mother's life exactly as we had envisioned. During one of the hardest moments our family has ever faced, Guerra & Gutierrez provided us with grace, dignity, and unwavering support. We will always be thankful for the care they showed our family and for helping us create a beautiful, meaningful farewell for my mother. Highly recommended.

I was calling at 6 am on a sat but when I called Guerra & Gutierrez Mr.Carlos Guerra answered and told me not to worry he would help and I picked them so glad I did They picked up my mom took her away on Monday went in spoke with Jerry "PoohBear" he was amazing as well helped with everything and Mr.Guerra introduced himself and even helped us with the casket gave us a great price as we were ripped off on the one my mother already had paid for. Everything went smooth from start to finish The day of the services I give a 10 plus as well to Ramiro Robles so down to earth kind understanding kind hearted and respectful through every step on the day of the services I'm very happy and at peace with the services my mom received with the small budget that we had and how great all these 3 men made it for myself and my family Thank you Carlos R Guerra, Ramiro Robles and to Jerry Delgadillo "Winnie the Pooh " Marina Flores

To Karen T's review, I approached the groundskeeper, Tony, to fill in some holes at the base of my grandparent's headstone (soil erosion). He very willingly obliged since he looks after the cemetery. I asked him if those were his tools along the shrubbery, and he said yes (they were your typical gardener's tools), but I did not ask him about the draped Dodger's shirt or pants, or grey jacket on 3 of the tombstones. The clothes appear to have been left there for quite some time, and perhaps even by the family member (?) themselves. I scanned the rest of the cemetery for homeless, but there were none. Only Tony looking after the grounds. He informed me that the gates open at 8am. Noticed the lettering for the Chinese Cemetary outside the the main gates (both English and Chinese) had fallen off. I'll let the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association know http://en.ccbala.org/home/common/fdi The grounds looks trimmed and weeds pulled. I'll be back to clean my grandparents headstone, fill in the faded lettering, and seal in the stone. It's the least I could do.

Why is there no one around to prevent this type of harassment of family members visiting their ancestors' gravesites?
