Not sure why Yelp thinks this is closed since we are sitting here eating. It's good pizza. Your outlook will depend on how you line the sauce. I thought it was a little oregano heavy. My wife liked it. We went around the table with votes to see how many stars to assign. Had a few 5s but also had some rough opinions Crust on the pie is good. We are originally from NE so we admit we are kind of snobs about it. I liked Tony's and Pizanos a little better but some in our party said this was better. Staff is friendly and they hustle. Fried Ravioli was very tasty. It's a large place with plenty of seating. Lots of family's in here tonight. We were 6 and had no problem getting a booth. They make sandwiches and a bunch of different things so if you have a few different ideas for dinner they can prob accommodate you

Stopped at the Dough Roller for lunch during our our annual Ocean City, MD Labor Day trip. We visited the one closest to the South end of the boardwalk, near Ripley's Believe it or Not. Our server was a Serbian college student, here on a work visa. She was very friendly and shared that it was only her second day. We ordered mozzarella sticks, BBQ wings and tater tots, pancakes, and a veggie sub. My daughter had the veggie sub, she was pretty happy with it overall. It was huge and she had to eat it with a fork. My husband had the pancakes and he really enjoyed them. I had the wings and tater tots. The amount of flies around our food made it hard for me to enjoy my wings. The tater tots were pretty good but they charged me for the special tater tots, which included bacon and cheese - even though I asked for them plain. I paid $12 for tater tots. That's not cool. Our lunch ended up costing $80 for 3 people. Granted we added mozzarella sticks, and a virgin and a regular Pina Colada but still, $80 for lunch and $103 once we added the tip was outrageous even for Ocean City. There was no military discount available. I think next year we will skip the Dough Roller and enjoy a meal that is much more affordable.

Can't be on the boardwalk without boardwalk fries. I like this place better than Thrashers because they give you ketchup.

Not much has changed with the ambiance - bar atmosphere, with each time there being a live music act when we came in to eat. As a party of 10 the last two years (a yearly trip) we were sat in front of the music. Not my favorite place as it's hard to have a conversation but the music was good. We had a younger waiter take care of us - we put in some drinks - I ordered a blackberry bourbon tea. It wasn't very sweet or flavorful. Almost like it was watered down. Meh. We put in several apps to start our meal: crab pierogis, cheesesteak egg rolls and crab dip. The crab pierogis sounded good - but the sauce on them or around them was watery. Another person in our party got the crab corn chowder- it was watery. Chowders are thicker, not thin. The cheesesteak egg rolls were good - had a nice flavor to them. The crab dip was very very flavorful - maybe one of the best on the island I have had. For my meal I ordered the Baltimore bird which is fried chicken topped with crab dip. It was a HUGE piece of chicken and looked great -- then I took a bite. The chick was raw inside. Hoping it was just a part of the breast I bit into another part - middle chicken was pink and raw. What makes matters even worse was the Heinz ketchup bottle on the table - billed as a Pittsburgh bar - did not have Heinz in it. Ketchup was way too sweet - definitely off brand. We shared desserts as a table - the brownie Ala mode and the tower brownie cheesecake. Both were.. well small. Good taste but, limited. Again - just ok overall.

You seat yourself (which is somewhat confusing as there's no sign that states that so you end up hanging out at the door until staff tells you) and then someone takes your order. For being sk busy, the food came out in a good amount of time. Decided on the jalapeno poppers and rockfish bites to start. Both were solid appetizers. The poppers came out hot, so definitely wait a little before taking your first bite. Rockfish was good and seasoned well - didn't need the sauce that accompanied the app. For my entree, I had the rockfish tacos, which were delicious. The two tacos came with a generous portion of rockfish that was topped with slaw, sauce, etc. I added some hotsauce (grab at the bar yourself) for that extra kick. I also tried some of the steamed shrimp, which was really good. Pretty simple as it just had Old Bay, but who doesn't like Old Bay?! Washed my meal down with hard seltzer (can grab yourself up front). They also have a few beers on tap. Overall a solid spot for seafood while in Ocean City.

Rob and Rose greeted and welcomed us. We ordered the Medium steamed Crabs, Crab Cake Sandwich, Crab Bisque, corn on the cob and Hush Puppies. Wow! What a treat so early in the season. The Bisque was excellent. It's not too spicy but they give you extra seasoning and spice to add according to your personal taste. The Crab Cake was just as advertised. No filler, fresh Crab, Eastern Shore style and delicious. The medium crabs were very good. Some establishments would be seeking them as Large. They were seasoned and steamed perfectly. Heavy and sweet. The sides; Corn on the Cob, steamed in the Husk was very good and the Hush Puppies were a perfect pairing. My apologies for lack of pictures, we ate most everything before I started taking pictures. Rob and Rose were very attentive. They told us their story and shared a scrap book of their off season home in New Mexico. They were in the process of training and orienting their summer staff while we enjoyed our meal. The attention to detail, customer first, quality service and passion for excellent food was on full display. The dining is beach rustic and perfect. There's a good amount of parking and it's easy to find them right along coastal highway. What initially seemed like a disappointment today turned into a wonderful discovery of a new favorite. On The Bay Seafood is a must try if you're at the shore this year.

We usually come to the Berlin, MD area twice per year and typically go to all the same places. We decided to switch it up and try something new this time, and we were very happy with our visit. The bartender was very friendly. He gave a lot of advice and recommendations on the menu. He was attentive and constantly made rounds making sure everybody was taken care of. My dad and I stuck with light beer that night. My mom ordered an Orange Crush, and it was one of her favorites all trip. The happy hour also looks great although we were a little late for that. We also ordered an array of finger foods to split amongst the three of us. Clams Casino, Calamari, Fries, and Flounder Fingers (wasn't on the menu -- the bartender suggested going with fresh flounder instead of the rockfish -- great recommendation). The Clams Casino, differently than any other I've ever had, had classic ingredients but were uniquely topped with provolone cheese. The Fried Calamari wasn't bad but a little too breaded for my preference -- still nothing to complain about. We definitely enjoyed the first night of our trip in Maryland and that was largely thanks to some time spent at Crab Alley. Everything from the feel of the bar, to the service we received, the friendliness of staff and fellow patrons, and the views overlooking the canal, gives us reason to be adding this establishment to our rotation of bars/restaurants when we're back in the area.

My sandwich was in a brioche bun and it complimented it perfectly! The fruit was a decent serving size. I also opted for some pancakes. I just had to satisfy a craving. It was two pancakes served with fresh fruit, powdered sugar and syrup. It hit the spot. Their menu had a few crab options for those who are looking for breakfast that includes crab. They honestly had something for everyone. Pricing was on point for it being a hotel, on the beach etc. It was to be expected. There is a comp for staying at the hotel, which helps off set the cost. My waitress was fantastic. She was hustling and taking care of all the things. She had someone help run food which I'm sure was helpful.
