Stopped by as one of the few places open during the off season for a quick sandwich, my wife got the chicken salad and I got an Italian with the works (large). The Italian was filling, solid, and exactly what I was looking for. Inside is a convenience store so you can grab other things to go. Service was fast and friendly. We order from this Market twice during our four day visit. The first night we ordered a Mitchell's cheesesteak. I ordered online and when I arrived the food was ready. The sandwich was huge. The meat was very tender and well seasoned. The topping were delicious. We split one sub between the two of us and each had half left for the next day's lunch. On the second visit we ordered an Italian cold cut and we were not disappointed. The meat was high quality and plentiful. This is a great place for sandwiches. read more

Stopped here late night for a sandwich before heading back to sleep, and since my first trip here in 2005 for senior week the inside has been cleaned up, but the food is still strong and manageable. First off they are open 24/7- so you'll see people coming in and out throughout the day and night. Back in 2005, the place was white with a white and blue sign - now there are burgundy signs and green neon. Definitely a hole in the wall there is a nice slew and selection of alcohol drinks, 30s, 40s, and then the lunch counter. They have renovated with a laminate flooring- place is way brighter and clean. Greg and I ordered a steak sandwich which wasn't too bad - but the steak had little flavoring. Next time I'll try something else but the convenience of this spot is great read more

Mitchell's, hell yeah! Been coming to Mitchell's since 1996. (Used to live right behind them). Nothing like picking up a cheesesteak after getting shithammered at bar or home. The owners a polite, actually quite tolerant of drunken idiots ordering what can only be described as heaven packed in a 12" hoagie roll. I totally recommend getting one at 2 am after fighting crime on the boardwalk dressed in nothing but a wetsuit and hot pink sunglasses. Justice = Mitchell's Cheesesteaks. read more

Mitchell's Market Wow! Trying to review Mitchell's Market is tough. The benefit of Mitchell's lies somewhere in its simplicity, proximity to the OC Skatepark, the off street parking, and of course its long standing late nite tradition in OCMD. The Food is A-OK, somewhat like a NYC bodega, the whole thing is akin to the big city, open 24 hrs serving the neighborhood, cold beer, oddball over priced dry goods, rolling papers, ect.. I am not sure I would make a special trip to Mitchell's, however, if I was done Skating and I wanted a 40 & a Sub, or if I was passing by making the late night trek home, and I needed to fill my belly, yea Mitchell's works. read more

Everyone raves about the Cheesesteak but the fact is every sandwich you get here is fantastic. The Italian Sub is loaded with meat and sauce. There is a nice selection of drink items also but if you are anywhere near 5th Street, go over to Mitchells and get a sandwich. Did I mention that they are open 24 HOURS?
