Now after multiple disappointing experiences by local vets, we travel over an hour to Tally Oaks for our vet needs. We find them personable and no-nonsense. Dr. Woerner knows her stuff and we find her judgement and advice to be very practical. I appreciate that she is a straight-shooter, and her staff is lovely.

We have had many dogs over the years and have been going to Tania not only because she listens,…read moreasks questions, and is an excellent diagnostician, but she is soup to nuts care, providing services for everything from tooth extraction, to allergies, colitis, Lyme disease, and so on. You stay in the room with your critter while she is doing her exams, and this is much less stressful on the dogs. Tania is always learning and adding new diagnostics in. IN addition this vet convinced me to keep a dying animal alive so that she could get more money for treatment, full well knowing that my animal would not recover, in fact money seemed to be her main concern as even while talking to her about an appointment I received a bill while on the phone for just talking to her. ( oh yeah she forgot to give me the credit for an overpaid bill) I would suggest in the future that she listen to the desires of the pet owner and not try to convince them to do something they will regret forever. I have paid nearly $1500. to this group after paying $8K for emergency surgery at the Winchester Emergency Clinic, on a little, dog rescue. I asked them to please do an ultrasound on the dog to see where she likely has adhesions where the extensive abdominal surgery occurred, in her pelvis. But they did not, they wanted to go another route & run up the bill as they are a only a bourgeois vet clinic. The vet for my horses charges far less than these ppl charge for dogs. Their techs think they are Hopkins-educated & New Bolton Trained Professors who, when challenged on the phone as to whether the car was within the Standard of Care, they yell & hang up.

We have used H&P for over a decade, the new staff refused our order for Interceptor plus heart worm…read moremedicine because the dogs did not have a full 12 months left before their tests. We had been going to H&P regularly, this was not a new thing. So unless you immediately buy 12 months of medicine from them, they deny the script that was paid for. New staff= really poor customer care, they seem to only be interested in squeezing every dollar out of their clients. Taking all of our animals to another clinic...after over 10 years!!!
