We used to be regulars at this place; however, the owner had to sell to different owners and they completely changed the recipe for Kolaches and even donuts. Our family noticed pretty quickly that the quality had changed and found the original owners over at MacArthur and Belt Line. We also weren't the only ones to notice, news had spread on FB about the difference. Needless to say..we are driving a bit further for the superior option. Check the latest reviews because there didn't seem to be any as of late to rave about things like there has in the past. Ownership changed over the last year. It's just not the same. read more

Major donut craving going on. I have driven by this place many times and thought I would give it a shot today. Friendly customer service. I got there a bit early though, so I figured the donuts would be fresh. I got a sausage kolache and the blueberry cake donut. The lady warmed up my kolache for me so I can have it nice and warm. My total was $1.77. So cheap! I ate my kolache while driving to work, and it was perfectly warmed up. Not too hot at all. It was delicious. I love spicy food and normally I get the jalapeno kolaches, but theirs was a bit bigger than the one I got. The sausage kolache was perfectly sized for me. Once I got to work I had the blueberry cake one, and wow it was perfect. I normally don't care for donuts because I think they are overly sweet, but this one is great. Next time I will come in to get just the jalapeno kolache... it seems addicting. read more

Really good donuts and decent kolaches. No complaints here. Reasonably priced and very quick. Only reason I gave it 4 stars is that the kolaches are the pre-made ones you see at all these donuts shops and they have to microwave them right in front of you. Donuts are always fresh and when there is a line it moves quickly! Chocolate glazed donuts are my favorite and these are the best ever!!! My husband and I both agree that there is no other place that can match their chocolate glaze icing. He loves the sausage rolls too!! What distinguishes this donut haven amongst others is the availability of jelly-filled donuts (cream, chocolate, raspberry and lemon usually onhand) as well the standout hot dog-sized kolaches. Try the jalapeno-and-cheddar sausage kolache when you visit! It's a beautiful hot sausage wrapped elegantly with dough and toasted to a golden brown. It has a slight crunch when you bite into it--very different from the yeasty roll-entombed kolaches at other places. Average pricing on donuts--a dozen glazed costs about $6. Nice local place. Donuts are good, nothing extraordinary, but always fresh. Workers are friendly. My only issue is that it seems like when I order a dozen donuts and one is a 'fancy', I get charged as if all the donuts are 'fancy'. I took my daughter into this donut palace before we went off to school because it was her first day. She really loved their lemon filled donuts and we tried the cheddar sausage pigs in a blanket with a great surprise in taste and flavor. Excellent donuts...the difference here from other national brands is that the frosting is not overly sweet trying to hide some horribly made and tasting bread. The dough is so soft, the frosting a perfect match and I hate to even add a review because it already gets busy and they can run out of a flavor if you go too late in the morning but its really great here. read more

Words cannot describe how incredible Donut Palace is. I lived in Coppell my entire childhood and would never think of eating donuts from another store. Everything on their menu is delicious from the classic glazed donuts to the kolaches. I always think I'm racking up the price while I'm ordering but it always ends up being under 5 dollars. If you ever are traveling trough Coppell for breakfast, the only place you should even think of going is Donut Palace. This is everyone in towns' favorite donut shop and everyone in the world should experience the Donut Palace! read more
